#y'all will explain away ANYTHING if you wanna fuck em huh #he wasn't sad to hurt his previous protector he literally says maliciously in the book that he messes up everything he touches - even the #curse on the shoes #he wasn't sad to hurt Grover - he was sad that Percy fucked up his plan to deliver him and the bolt to Kronos #this is why I hate the ambiguity of the series - Percy's a perceptive guy and he's absolutely willing to call out people being malicious or #genuine - and I think we lose a little bit of something while trying to make it ~new and mysterious~ instead of written plainly for a #neurodivergent child audience #cuz then you get shit like this and people being like hee hoo posiedon or Hermes left the Medusa head for gabe instead of it being a #deliberate choice by an explicitly abused woman to kill her abuser and take back her power which her son and ex keep trying to do for her #but whatever! luke hot sadboy uwu!!!
