i care about candymaker so much i hold them in my palms every night they're near and dear to me like my mentally ill children

many headcanons in my head and they're all about the little things

thinking about jason and how he loves candy pop's nails. he doesn't have long nails himself because it gets in the way of his work, but the jester doesn't have work to worry about. jason hates to admit it but he loves when candy pop mindlessly taps on his wrist. or lightly grazes him with them. he loves when candy pop runs his hand through his hair. it's something candy pop does without any thought behind it but it makes jason so happy.

thinking about candy pop watching jason's tiny changes in his contenance when he's holding back a smile or a laugh. when his eyes squint for just a mere second, or the corner of his lips twitches up just a smidge. candy pop finding it precious and honestly as good as a smile itself. he's always liked jason's reactions.

thinking about candymaker brushing their teeth together. the way their bathroom is set up so there's a small curtain over the mirror, because candy pop has a difficult time with them. how they have separate drawers for their hair products; jason's hair is naturally wavy, so he has heating tools in his drawer. meanwhile, candy pop's hair is naturally straight, and he really only has a hairbrush and hair-ties. jason thinks candy pop's effortlessly beautiful, and he'd admire him for days straight if he wanted.

candy pop prefers colouring over drawing so sometimes jason will lend him his sketchbook for candy pop to colour in. jason leaves little messages on the pages. compliments. he's not a poetry nerd like candy pop is, but he'll chime in with the occasional shakespeare reference.

“It means that you shouldn’t exist.” Keith responds so clinically. “You’re not human, I don’t know what you are, but you shouldn’t be here. Marion’s the only reason I’m letting you keep your head and even my faith in her is fading fast.”
