I believe that play (drama, comedy etc.) should be a more popular genre for fanfiction (if there's any fanfiction written like that in the first place).

#Like you just write it like an episode of a TV show or like a shakespeare play #scenes acts all that jazz #like we essentially do it already with the whole incorrect quotes meme #why not make it a long form fanfiction #I think it has potential #hell not even just fanfiction #regular-ass fiction could be written this way and I'd be glad to read it as a book #“but drama is meant to be played on stage” sure it's nicer and stuff #but we're already reading plain text with stage directions for literature classes anyway #so what difference does it make if it's Shakespeare or idk Ace Attorney Smut or whatever
