Does anyone happen to have some sources on hand? Not because I doubt this, it makes a disturbing amount of sense, but because I want to share with my parents and a tumblr post alone will not be convincing.

I tried it looking up with similar search terms, and was having trouble finding articles/studies, which is why I ask.

it's so chilling to walk through an area where the houses are surrounded by blank sterile lawns and see a big lilac bush in full bloom without a single bug on it. No bees, no butterflies, not a stir of activity.

#ngl we have a good amount of flora and fauna in our neighborhood #bc i dont think my parents spray #aside from weedkiller maybe? which isnt great either #but we got bugs and hawks and skunks and groundhogs and foxes and deer #in our extremely suburban backyard #so hopefully we’re doing something right #unfortunately there has been a tick explosion recently #so i wanna share this with them #the deer are not the problem!
