ahhh i woke up this morning and the first think i did was check for the leaks but sadly i can't find them online (i don't think i'm looking in the right places ;-;)

i did find a few summaries of the actual leaks so i read through them. from my understanding, sukuna's remains were absorbed by tengen bridge, right?

unfortunately i am terrible at understanding and remembering the technical stuff in this manga, but from what i do recall star plasma vessels merge with tengen to keep him from aging i think. however after riko's death, tengen has become more like a cursed spirit and can merge with those who are not star plasma vessels.

If sukuna really was absorbed, there's a chance he doesn't need to be a star plasma vessel to do it, but it would turn him into something different. this could potentially be another threat and it would make since if yuuji was the only one who could stop it from happening. with just one chapter to go though, i'm not sure gege will focus on whatever this new development is. i'm still hoping there's some explanation because that part confused me, too.

if sukuna and yuuji do merge together and die with their souls so close to each other, i'm going to scream go back to my original theory that their fate is a lot like that of ryo and akira's in devilman, where they both keep dying together as part of satan's punishment. maybe sukuna will have a final realization about all that he could have had, that he should have just accepted yuuji's offer to live together, that maybe he finally understands the real meaning of love when it's dying right alongside him. however i don't think gege is invested at all in punishing his characters, and he seems to love sukuna a lot so it's probably not very likely sukuna will have an ending like that, even though it would be beautiful and fitting for the both of them.

to me, sukuna and yuuji have been chained together, both their souls and bodies, since the beginning. bc the manga started with yuuji's fate being to die alongside sukuna, that's the kind of ending i expected we might have. but with the sudden change of heart yuuji's had (read: yuuji realizing he has a massive crush on sukuna) i had hope for an ending where they both live on, sukuna back inside of yuuji, right where he belongs.

either way, i just can't see them living on or dying without each other. even if sukuna's soul comes back in reincarnation, it's still bound to yuuji's. i'll accept nothing less.

i'll be honest with you... if it's just sukuna's body without his actual soul or personality inside or if anyone other than yuuji confronts sukuna, i'm going to go crazy.

also the second OC isn't mine!! Qilan belongs to @yuechicake and we come up with their intertwined story together!!! We don't usually go for the same love interests in otome games/VNs/IFs so we find it fun to pretend whatever MCs we create are in the same universe and of course they're besties and lovers and everything in between

BUT for Qilan and Lark specifically, I would LOVE to give you a run down! This is your warning for slight alpha spoilers (although i'm like 99% positive most of it is stuff that's already on the blog through asks and such.)

So basically, their story plays off of the original MC's story in SHOH. Qilan and Lark were made from a final burst of power of the god to increase the likelihood that somebody would be able to save the world from the invasion of Hael. After all, what's better than one hero of Haven? TWO Heros of Haven! They're soulmates, literally and figuratively. Literally one soul cleaved in half with a girl built around each piece. Each other's better (and worse) half. We've come up with a lot of symbolism for them, actually: Lark the sacrificial lamb and Qilan the sacrificing priest; Qilan the sword and Lark the shield; Qilan the hero and Lark the spare. They both are incredibly special and important to the other, but Qilan has survival hardwired into her brain and Lark has it in her head that she's destined to die before the war is over. They play off of each other really well ^u^

We haven't come to a strict number on how many words Qilan and Lark have, but in my head I gave them a singular extra one so that they could both have the canon backstory and use one on their birthday and still start off in the Shepherds with seven. Other than that, they just kinda have to hope they're on the same page about using them lol. And, in true magical girl style, their Words are more powerful when said in unison or when cast when the girls are touching each other. Imagine being a demon and two of the prettiest girls you've ever seen fucken GET YOU with a friendship beam. Embarrassing 😳 

The general rule for what counts is, as long as it's cast at the same time / they decide in unison / they're physically touching when they do it AND it's directed towards the same creature or purpose, it counts as a single Word and is more powerful than if they cast one by themselves. (Generally it is more labor intensive to do this though!) Otherwise, if they use it without knowing the other one is using one / not intending to be doing it in tandem, then the Words are counted separately. Qilan and Lark don't have any rules for the other about using them if one is absent. They trust each other's judgement! If Lark used a word while Qilan was still at base, Qilan wouldn't be mad and would just be glad Lark got back safe (and it would be the same if the roles were switched). They can tell when the other uses a word, like a voice whispers the new count in their head or something.

Also, Qilan's R/O is Chase and Lark's is Trouble, but they're all in a nebulous polycule, the true dynamic of which some of the Shepherds take bets on. (Simplified, Lark and Trouble are a straightforward couple, Qilan and Chase are unspoken forever partners, Lark and Qilan are two halves of the same soul that kiss sometimes, Chase and Trouble are boyfriends in law, and Chase to Lark/Trouble to Qilan are usually “that's my special girl's special boy” and vice versa)

Liya and I haven't set up a 100% true meeting for Qilan and Lark, but in general our current theory goes like this: prior to the job of escorting Prihine, Lark and Qilan were assigned to the same caravan on separate mercenary jobs. Diminished typically are cast to the side during meals and stops, so the two of them wound up near each other inevitably over their own meager fire. At this point in their story, both of them are incredibly guarded. Qilan doesn't let anyone in and charms others before a true conversation can ever really start, and Lark keeps up a distant, polite front without ever reading further into conversations. But they both feel this pull with the other, a sense of comfort and familiarity that they've never had before. They bond, and it all feels natural…a relationship that might not have disastrous consequences. 

(Also, if you look at Liya's blog, you'll see that Qilan is in tune with her sexuality and a lot of times her character is a fun push and pull of power and vulnerability, lust and devotion, etc etc. And since Lark often times occupies the end of the spectrum that is opposed to Qilan......Qilan and Lark definitely banged during the caravan is what I'm saying. Both as a way to demonstrate their closeness and also it's a big deal for Lark to feel that level of comfort so quickly. And also they're literally soulmates and hot of course they're going to)

Anyway, as I mentioned, since their souls are literally mirrored halves, they just kind of....naturally click? Neither of them can explain it, and it's actually incredibly out of character for them to feel so connected to someone at all, let alone so quickly. So they would keep tabs on each other regardless, knowing that this was a soft spot they didn't know how to protect. Luckily they happened to like each other when they met ^u^

When they have to part ways they do so willingly - there isn't a tearful goodbye or anything, because even though they are bonded they aren't quite attached yet - but there still is a secret lingering knowledge that they are connected. That they'll find each other again and again, and now they know who to look for.

Qilan and Lark are pretty comfortable with each other by the time they are both enrolled in the Order, however. They just gravitate towards each other: sitting together during meals, spending time off together, training together, and they probably try to figure out just how connected they are! Soon enough they're inseparable and the Order knows that where one goes, the other will probably be close behind. Even when things get more serious with their R/Os, it's an unspoken rule that they're a package deal lol

And as far as missions go, there isn't really a “canon” for who goes on what mission, it just kinda depends on what we want to write (or what's funniest). For some missions like the investigation into Black Sun, it's easy to imagine they're both on that mission but they took different routes. Maybe Qilan chases after Chase and Lark goes to tell Blade what happened. They would choose together if they went to investigate the factory or the party, but if they choose the factory then Qilan would go with Chase and Lark with Blade and Trouble. Just little things that don't matter much, and it can change on a moment's notice to serve our needs!

Everything else is a vibes based decision! Liya and I have been friends for a while and we know how the other typically likes to write their OCs, plus as friends even if the other does write something OOC it's either a new character trait to consider or the OC just had a “do it for the vine” moment and it works for the fic so it's fine lmao. This is an AU after all and we are both focused more on character-driven oneshots than actually making their placement make sense within the whole story of SHOH. Most of the time we can just pretend they're on the same mission but doing different tasks if we need the girls to be alone with their R/O or something lol

Buuuut yeah!! The tl;dr is that they are soulmates who understand each other on a deeper level than anyone else. They are both parallels and foils. And they should NOT be separated or Blest WILL get blown to pieces.

Like I can just imagine the idea of star elves and other eldarin who come from the feywild and spent their whole lives being so immersed in magic that if they ever encounter a non-spellcaster human for the first time it's just like wow. this mf has zero magic about them. I wonder if it's a strange sensation, like noise cancelling headphones, and that lack of magical energy might feel relieving or sexual for them. Idk if it's exactly dnd canon but I've always imagined magic aligned entities to be able to sense magic like a buzzing in the air, so a lack of that buzzing would be entirely wild for them. Either way, magical radio silence = sexual exploration for eldarin and I fully support it

I've seen one similar to its concept in a game called "Echos of the Fey"

So elves in this game, average elves not just eladrin, are all born with magic. Because all magic comes from the fey and all elves share a connection to it.

Humans can learn magic too by using the hammer method and seeing what sticks on the wall, but they can never connect to the fey.

And the fey is exactly like you described. It allows to elves to effortlessly connect to each other, feel and sense each other's presence before seeing each other. It allows parents to feel when their children die and allows lovers to sense when their elf partner is in danger.

Elves can share their emotions through the fey too, they don't need to use words or explain things. They can let the other person feel exactly what they're feeling.

It was described as a constant song, a different melody from each elf in the sanctuary they all lived in. Going on at all times. And sure one elf can supress their own song but they can't stop hearing others'.

You can also speak words into the other person's mind using the fey. If they give you permission to dive deeper into their soul, you can even tell if they're lying about something or being honest.

But again, all of this only applies if the two people are elves. Even sorcerer humans wouldn't be able to feel it or connect to the fey.

It's also why elves seem cold or detached to humans, they are so used to the fey and the immediate connection and trust it gives them in other elves, that they don't bother to learn how to properly express their emotions with words or facial expressions. As a society, their inner personal relationships are always reliant on the fey.

In that game, one elf does move to a human settlement and he describes it as radio silence. That sometimes when he's around so many elves, he wonders if his ideas are truly his own or simply from other elves through the fey.

That being near humans gives him more individuality, forces him to work hard to establish trust with someone rather then immediately earn it. To learn to express his emotions rather than assume the other person can feel them.

It is radio silence. There is no music except for the ones humans deliberately play with their instruments. Even then, anyone can misinterpret its meaning with no definitive answer.

In that game, there are no other races besides humans and elves. And no sub-races for elves, they're all high elves.

But that theory still holds up if we integrate it to dnd! With some adjustments. It explains why elves are so reclusive, why they prefer the company of other elves over other races, and why two elf strangers seem to almost click immediately.

The fey is a constant overstimulatation, like getting constant ads in a video. Some elves learn to tone it out while others are so fed up with it that they'd rather lose their own magic than stay connected to it.

Which is why those ones would move to human cities, would prefer the company of humans and find joy at how expressive they are, at the long trials each friendship has in order to earn their trust.

For once their mind is clear, no meddling fey making them feel other's emotions or hear their thoughts. Only their own thoughts in their brain, everything they feel is truly their own.

Except when another elf is nearby.

But again, each elf can choose to suppress their own presence in they fey, just not others'. So, I like to think that elves in human cities came to a collective agreement to supress their own presence in the fey to not bother each other, also to not make the humans feel left out.

Anyway, exposition over, time to talk about the actual kink.

They're so used to everyone around them brimming with magic, for other fey creatures' appearance to change drastically through the season, wearing the ocean waves aa a dress or growing a cherry blossom tree as hair.

Imagine a human in comparison, how simple and plain we would be, how utterly new and adorable in their views.

Simplicity has its merits, if done right then it can be as beautiful as complexity if not more.

A human, devoid of any magic and only wearing their own body and clothes as decoration, would be beyond this world for elves and eladrins, literally.

There is another game i played that had human wizards talking about the fey world and the dangers of it, i don't remember its name.

But the main reason why humans were told to avoid the fey world and never go there, is because their souls shine bright like a beacon amidst it.

Every person and creature in the fey world knows magic beyond our comprehension, and all of them know how to hide their souls and lock it. Like installing anitmalware and a firewall on a computer with proxy to prevent tracking.

Humans are the boomers who uninstall system 32.

Our souls are just up for grabs, literally on a silver plate for any fey who comes waltzing in and tricks us into some verbal contract. We have no magic to detect them or to prevent them.

Humans don't last in the fey realm, everyone wants them. Even the most talented wizards who live there, never stay for long or always take a break every now and then.

You are literally the lighthouse, siren and mist amidst the fey sea.

To an elf who is tried of the magical noise, you're like a comfort blanket. Warm and makes them ignore the world outside.

They're beyond infatuated with how much you steal all of their brain's attention, focus all of their scattered thoughts on you or the simplest of things.

How you express your joy with laughter, how you spent time cooking a meal, how tears collect down your face when you cry, how you tap your feet or click your tongue.

Primal life in its purest forms, the most bare form a soul could ever take.

You're the most simple shape, and for that, you are loved, adored for how much you hold. How easily you adapt, a white light containing a rainbow inside.

Humans fit anywhere and everywhere, even in places they're not supposed to. They still tried and will keep trying forever, that's why they keep stepping to the fey realm and keep attempting on befriending the elves or building houses there.

It's hard not to be blinded by their light, let it outshine everything else around them.

In a sexual context, I think elves and eladrins would be so used to magical sex or soul connections that with a human they get to experience having their soul grounded into earth.

The simplest touch of fingertips trailing up their skin, the silence except for the occasional gasps and groans of the human. For the first time their own moans are so clear to their pointy ears, they're forced to drown into their own emotions and melt into the bed.

And the humans seduction and pleasure somehow clicks with every single race, somehow surpasses so many cultural barriers. Experiencing pure pleasure with all the small awkwardness and discomforts, being acutely aware of the pillow under their head or the drumming of their heartbeat.

It's how humans don't need magic to thrive, have fun or give pleasure. How these things are second nature to them, you could strip them of all of their fancy science and magic and even then they'll still find a new way to climb up.

That's the human condition That's the human spirit, to care in the face of uncaring world. To love despite your own limitations, to be kind to something you can never understand.

Every wizard who has ever lived in the fey realm speaks of it fondly, like an old friend. Despite the countless attempts on their life, despite the times they almost lost their mind. Humans see beauty in everything, dangerous or soft.

And they infect others with their softness, make the elves and eladrins addicted to their comfortable silence. So much that they wonder how did they ever live before in the constant noise and buzzing.

Humans are like a vacation you go to when the polluted cities start to drain your soul, they're the fresh water running rivers through the dandelions filled fields.

And so many long to live there, to abandon their apartments and start over there. But they're afraid to steal the humans' light from them, to infect them with their magic and poison the waters.

So only a few go down there at a time, for a vacation length to an eladrin is akin to a lifetime to a human.

So for Bolin, I don't have many ships I like for him other than weilin? I think a lot of his canon ships share the theme of either enabling his infantilisation or patronising him. Bolin needs a partner that would support amd challenege him into maturing, but the writers won't give that to us because writing character development is hard.

At least with weilin I can work with my own ideas?

Mind you it's not that I can't get behind other ships, in the right setting,I'm just very picky about how Bo is characterised.

As for Wei, he doesn't have a lot of interactions with any characters outside of Bolin, so I really don't have a lot of ships with him.

One thing I'm sick of seeing is Beifong family incest? If my daily scouring of the web for weilin crumbs is interrupted by a threesome between Wei, Wing and THEIR FATHER, I will blow this solar system into smithereens.

I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to Suyin ships. I adore Sutar they're adorable and I wish we could've seen them when they were younger. I adore the idea of Suyin finding someone to build a life with, I adore the theme of carving out and building a place to call home together, I adore how they're the poster children for malewife/girlboss.

Though one of my crackships is Suyin x any member of the Red Lotus. This would probably place itself somewhere in my Red Lotus! Beifongs AU.

I'm not too fond of Suvira? Like I absolutely get the appeal, in theory. And while Kuvira doesn't consider the Beifongs family, she has been under Suyin's care since she was 8. Most mentor/protégé ships aren't my cup of tea. There are very specific exceptions, but as a rule of thumb, I shy away from this theme.

For Lin, I'm very partial to Linzolt, thanks to my wife. Very interesting dynamic. I also like shipping Lin with women of course; Kyalin, Linsuko, Lin x Buttercup Raiko - all bangers. I like Linzin for what it could've been. I also think Lin x Pema is a fun crackship. Maybe they saw Korrasami and were like: 'hey why not?'. I do however like Lin with Tenzin and Pema together? They'd be a cute throuple. I have a tendency to enjoy shipping Lin with married couples because I tend to ship Lin with San and Naoki as well (Mako and Bolin's parents)

Asami. Like most of the fandom, I adore korrasami. Though I'll be honest when I say... masami was kinda cute? Honestly, any ship where Asami is happy gets a thumbs up from me.

That being said I'm always in the market for some toxic yuri, so Asami x Kuvira or Asami x Jargala are both very intriguing to me.

Another one of my favourite guilty pleasure ships I'm much too invested in is Opal x Asami.

Think about it. They're both rich girls who were isolated from the world. Imagine them sharing stories of the wide world. Imagine Asami upgrading Opal's wingsuit and Opal bringing Asami trinkets from all the places her Air Nomad journeys take her. Imagine Asami getting a real family as the Beifongs adopt her. Her getting a father that would never betray her in Baatar Sr.

Idk I think they'd be good for each other. I think I need to make a longer post on Asami x Opal.

Opal is my favourite female tlok character (Bolin being my fave male character) and tbh I hate her being demoted to a love interest.

That doesn't mean I don't ship her with anyone.

Sapphic Opal has my heart and soul. I ship her with most female characters of the show. Korpal? Exquisite, did you see the synchronised airbending scene? Opalvira? Love their divorced vibe in rote! Opal x Asami? Unsung favourite! Opal x Eska? Opal x Ginger? Yesyesyes!

My one straight ship for Opal is Mako x Opal because I think they'd be good for one another.

I don't have any particular ships for Huan. I'm quite open to most ships with him, since in my personal opinion he's the most romantic of the Beifong siblings. I can see him with Desna or Eska, Tahno or Ryu the airbender. Mako x Huan is also sweet when you think of it. I think if them both as such big brothers.

I'm not very into Huan x Ikki. Like, I do get why people like it. And I'm not that against age gap relationships. One of the healthiest relationships i know irl has a huge age gap. I just see Ikki and Huan as having such a big brother/little sister relationship it's very hard for me to swap to seeing them as anything romantic. Perhaps as a onesided puppy crush on Ikki's side but anything more is a big big no no

Here are some happy thoughts: if rumours are true and they don't kill Jace until much later into S3 then he'll be with Rhaenyra when she takes Kingslanding.

Don't know if you've seen but there are theories about what kind of relationship he will have with Alicent, my prediction is that the writers will use him as an audience surrogate. He will be cautious of her at first (just like the GA) unsure if she truly is redeemed and loyal to Rhaenyra, but as time passes he starts warming up to her, thus the audience can warm up to her also.

Also the more time Alicent spends with Jace the more she sees the man Rhaenyra has raised, abandoing her bastardphobia.

They have a lot in common (being in love with hot headed, silver haired dragon riders being one of them lol) so I do hope Alicent and Jace form a friendship in S3.

Hii, it's the first time I ever talked to anyone on this app (nevermind that I've been here for some time...) I just really have to say your Under The Sun universe is on my mind 24/7 🥺 I owe u my life bc of it, it's my comfort world 💕

I have a lot of... i guess I can call them theories (or what ifs), about the world and all that, everyone can expand it in many ways (I'm doing it for fun), for example: are they REALLY the only people left? What if the readers appearance not only brings memories to bois little by little, but maybe time - by that I mean seasons, they're getting more aware that it's not paradise and something is wrong. It can take turn to psychological story. Different thought: Are they dead? Even if they're dead, maybe this afterlife is the last chance for them to be together, perhaps they grow apart and need to take care of some businesses between each other to rest? Reader's character is a complex one, mainly bc she could also bring awareness (i really enjoyed wonwoo's part and his thinking), after things are settled maybe the dead are making peace with being, well... dead, so they can be chilling once more...

I just like to think about that stuff lmao sorry 💀 It got me invested and shit. I enjoy your writing and amazing ideas, wish u all the best ❤️

i will say i think i mentioned that the seasons are still a thing? it was probably a one-off line early on but they do keep track of different plants growing in different times of the year, the fics just never tend to go beyond summer since most (if not all) of the stories take place over a month or so and don't go super far past it. i think the only one that would diverge from that would be the poly ending if i end up writing it (and even then i don't think i ever planned for it to go super far--just beyond one month)

i do love the other parts of ur theories/questions tho <3 again, won't confirm/deny anything, but its fun for me to read these hehe so tysm for sharing!!

Su'cuy! I really appreciate how thorough and well thought-out your theories and opinions about Star Wars are, I know that you are pro-Jedi, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. I love the Jedi both individually and as a whole, but I've always thought that the Jedi Council's approach to certain issues throughout the Prequels seemed a bit... questionable. Here are some examples of what I mean:

1. The way they handled Anakin joining the Order seems harsh to me. I've always thought that if Anakin had been able to keep in contact with Shmi through the beginning of his padawanship, he could've slowly grown apart from her, (rather than being somewhat unceremoniously torn away from her) and that would have helped enormously with his 'attachment' issues. I get that the Jedi only operate within the Republic's jurisdiction, so they couldn't have gone to Tatooine and overthrown the Hutts and free all the slaves like Ani wanted them to, but if everything Qui-Gon did was legal, then there's no way they couldn't at the very least send a Jedi to check up on Shmi. So why didn't they?

2. Obi-Wan clearly knew beforehand about Anakin's feelings for Padme and his issues with following the Jedi Code, so why on earth did anyone think it was a good idea to send him alone with Padme to a resort??

3. (Oh look another one dealing with Anakin's Issues) Pretending for a moment that killing a Jedi really was the best way to handle the events of the Deception arc, why Obi-Wan? Just... why?? He's not trained for undercover missions, he's a councilmember and a High General so he has a lot of responsibilities, many of which can't just be handed off to other people, and his padawan is Anakin "I'm Mentally Unstable and Everyone Knows It" Skywalker. There's no way in all nine Corellian hells that Obi-Wan was the best candidate for the job.

I will re-iterate the fact that I love the Jedi Order, and if there's important information I'm missing here, or perspectives I haven't considered, than I would love to know what they are because I don't like how poorly these instances reflect on Jedi like Yoda and Mace and Plo. Hi! Thank you for the very kind comments and, oh, you flatter me far too much, I am but a single nerd on the internet who enjoys flailing about Star Wars, hardly a scholar or anything. 😂 But you are still very nice to say so and I hope that I can live up to the good faith you've extended! Ultimately, a lot of this stuff comes down to differences in interpretation, so when I talk confidently about my views, of course I do think I’m right (😂), but if you disagree, eh, that’s no bother to me, because you’ve been nothing but sweet about it and that’s fine.  (And I say this both as a way to set the tone, but also as a way to clarify that, just because I talk in firm statements, that doesn’t mean I think there’s no room for anyone else’s views or just simply to disagree with me and that’s valid.  As long as we treat each other kindly, we’re good!) With the Jedi Council’s treatment of Anakin, I think it’s important to establish what “attachment” is first, because it’s not “caring about others”, it’s specifically more in alignment with Buddhism (as Buddhism is the heaviest influence in the Jedi’s philosophy), it’s about not clinging and grasping onto someone so hard that your fear of losing them outweighs your ability to be reasonable.  It’s about not loving them for your sake, regardless of what’s best for them or what would make them happy, because you can’t live without them.  It’s about not burning down the galaxy because you’re afraid to live without them. In Star Wars Archives 1999-2005, George Lucas says:  “[Jedi Knights] do not grow attachments, because attachment is a path to the dark side. You can love people, but you can’t want to possess them. They’re not yours. Accept that they have a fate. Even those you love most are going to die. You can’t do anything about that. Protect them with your lightsaber, but if they die they were going to die, there’s nothing you can do. All you can do is accept that fact.” That’s what attachment is within Star Wars, it’s a path to the dark side, that’s just how the worldbuilding within the narrative works.  Whatever we think of that on a writing level, within the narrative itself, attachment actually is a thing to be overcome. And it’s the very heart of Anakin Skywalker’s story, that attachment led to his fall, so when I talk about how the Jedi are trying to nudge him away from that path, it’s an important motivation because it’s absolutely what led to Anakin’s fall and they were working to prevent the source of it.  Like, he doesn’t become Darth Vader because he was separated from his mom, he becomes Darth Vader because he can’t let go of things, that distinction is the center of his story.  And if GL had meant differently, that guy is not subtle, he would have said so.  Instead, he says: “He turns into Darth Vader because he gets attached to things. He can’t let go of his mother; he can’t let go of his girlfriend. He can’t let go of things. It makes you greedy. And when you are greedy, you are on the path to the Dark Side, because you fear you’re going to lose things, that you’re not going to have the power you need.” - George Lucas, Time Magazine, 2002 Which you are probably aware of and I don’t mean to come across as lecturing, but I chose to go over it again for a reason, in that it’s important to remember that the Jedi aren’t just saying, “No contact with your bio-family!  That’s attachment!”, but instead that the worldbuilding that comes with what “attachment” means in Star Wars is illustrating what the Jedi’s goal is--work towards being able to let go when it’s time.  Protect people, love them, but accept that you can’t stop death from happening. 1.  So, with that in mind, what evidence do we have that Anakin wasn’t allowed to contact Shmi?  Yes, Tatooine Ghost (which was written in 2003, before Revenge of the Sith even existed) said so, but it’s very tricky to rely on Legends material because GL has repeatedly expressed that the books weren’t part of his worldbuilding, that he wasn’t involved with them, that they should just go do whatever as long as it was an interesting story.  (And, like, it’s fair to also dismiss current Lucasfilm canon materials, because they’re not from the primary source, either.  Everyone draws their own sandbox lines!)  What, within the movies or TV, said Anakin wasn’t allowed to contact his mother? I’m not making any definitive statements either way, I think it might be reasonable to speculate that the Jedi felt Anakin was relying too heavily on his attachments (as GL has been very clear that this is a major issue for Anakin all his life), that he wasn’t working towards letting go in a healthy way, so they may have tried to put some distance there to make it easier for him, which I think was the point the Jedi were making in Dooku: Jedi Lost when Dooku did the same with his sister.  I think it may be reasonable to point to Heir of the Jedi  showed a Jedi Knight that was in contact with his family and there were no issues there.  I think it’s fair to point out that the Jedi weren’t exactly stopping anyone from keeping connections to their birth worlds (the various cultural clothing Jedi wore, the statues they prayed to, etc.), so I don’t see why they would forbid Anakin from keeping contact with her or, as Skywalker: A Family At War pointed out, he could still feel her in the galaxy, so he knew she was okay, and yet he was still leaning into that attachment to her.  I think it’s fair to point out that the Jedi were fine with letting people leave, spoke warmly of them afterwards, even would accept them back if they wanted (Obi-Wan & Anakin, s7 of TCW where Yoda asked if Ahsoka was coming back yet), which doesn’t seem to jive with the idea that they felt you had to only ever be in contact with Jedi.  None of that seems in line with the idea that they wanted to cut Jedi off and would punish anyone for contacting someone outside the Jedi Order, unless there was a very specific reason for it. Ultimately, we don’t have enough about that time period from the movies or TCW to say for sure what happened or didn’t happen, whether he had contact with her or not, or the reasons and specific context behind it. 2.  Obi-Wan totally did object to sending Anakin alone with Padme, though!  😂  He said Anakin wasn’t ready for it, that his emotions around Padme made him confused and he wasn’t going to be able to protect her, but Mace very kindly and warmly said, “Obi-Wan, you must have faith that he will choose the right path.” And Mace is absolutely right.  I mean, yes, Obi-Wan was probably right to be concerned, but the bigger point is:  Anakin was 19 years old, he was an adult, he’d been a Jedi for 10 years at this point.  You have to eventually trust people to make their own decisions, to walk the right path on their own, and Anakin had the training and wisdom (or should have) to make that choice for himself. Sending him on a mission to escort Padme, even knowing that it would be a temptation for him, was one they had to let Anakin decide for himself how to navigate it.  If he was tempted into breaking his vows at this point, then no amount of holding him back or hand-holding him was going to make a difference. 3.  The real answer is the most unsatisfying one:  Because Obi-Wan Kenobi is a major character and therefore he was the most fun to write on that arc and to give the show drama.  I fully believe that the primary driving force behind choosing Obi-Wan for it wasn’t based on in-universe worldbuilding, but “Who would provide the most interesting, fun story to tell?” and they wanted to use it as a way to show Anakin’s growing distrust with the Jedi Order. But if we’re going to look at it from the Watsonian perspective rather than the Doylist one, I assume it’s because Obi-Wan was really good at his job, like, that guy was really good at everything he needed to be doing on that job.  And the Jedi Council were apparently on the side of telling Anakin ahead of time, it was Obi-Wan who said not to tell him, and I think it fits very well with what Obi-Wan and the Jedi have been trying to teach Anakin--that sometimes shit happens and you have to be able to face it and make peace with it.  They have to have faith that he’s going to choose the right path. Like, a driving reason (via word of god commentary) that Yoda assigned Ahsoka to Anakin as a Padawan (other than that they were a good match) is because eventually he would have to let her go, he would have to let her be Knighted and no longer interacting with her in the same way.  The Jedi were trying to provide paths for Anakin to face his attachment issues, and while I don’t think the “Deception” instance was very nice (and I do think it was a mistake and Obi-Wan was wrong to not tell Anakin, but also not totally wrong because Anakin absolutely was shit at keeping secrets and the Chancellor’s life was on the line in this mission, as far as the Jedi knew), it was meant in the vein of, “Someday, you’re going to lose people, Anakin, you have to accept that that’s going to happen.” and it’s not that I think Obi-Wan planned it as a test, but that he chose to listen to Mace’s wisdom and have faith that Anakin would choose the right path. As I see it, in the big picture of “What happened to Anakin Skywalker?  Why did he become Darth Vader?” the answer GL gave was: “When you start to care about yourself and the things that you own and the things that you have and you’re greedy and you want things all the time and you don’t want to give them up because you’re afraid to give them up, you turn to the dark side.  And that’s what happened to Anakin.” --George Lucas Q&A: Field Museum, Chicago 5/8/2010 Anakin’s fall was about his attachment to people, that’s entirely what was happening in ROTS, where his turn towards Palpatine was a justification for wanting to hold onto Padme, where the big confrontation with Obi-Wan starts because Anakin didn’t care about what she wanted or her horror at what he was doing or her choice to back away from him, he literally choked her in anger and screamed at Obi-Wan:

“YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER FROM ME!” Anakin doesn’t want to protect her, he wants to keep her, wants her to not be taken from him, like she’s something to be possessed, not because she made her own choices or because anyone else was actually trying to do so, but because he himself and his fears already did that. And that’s exactly what GL has always said was Anakin’s problem. His attachment to her, his inability to accept that she might have a fate that he couldn’t control, drove him to this.  He absolutely should have tried to protect her, to love her, to fight to help her, that’s what the Jedi do--like, that’s the whole reason they became soldiers in the war, because they were fighting to help people! But you have to accept that sometimes things are beyond your control and all you can do is work to accept that, that’s how the Force and the worldbuilding and narrative of Star Wars works.  And that’s what the Jedi were trying to help Anakin with, to prevent his attachment tendencies from getting out of control--but, at a certain point, they had given him the training and they had to trust him to make the right choices, whether that was as a Jedi or on a different path. (And I’ve always liked the quote from the A New Hope anthology, “Master & Apprentice”, where Obi-Wan says:  “Anakin became a Jedi Knight.  He served valiantly in the Clone Wars.  His fall to darkness was more his choice than anyone else’s failure.  Yes, I bear some responsibility–and perhaps you do, too–but Anakin had the training and wisdom to choose a better path.  He did not.”)

i was convinced that my room was being haunted for a few months last year because there were just so many little things that kept happening… i sort of forget them now but things would just randomly fall over without me touching them, big things too, like jars of makeup and stuff, and my things would go missing, especially hair elastics (and i would usually blame that on my cat but she isn’t allowed in my room) like i would purposely leave them places that i would remember but then they would disappear. i think honestly it was just messing with me a bit. and also i would feel really really intense feelings of being watched, especially when i was falling asleep, like i could pinpoint where i was being watched from and everything, but of course nothing was there. i would also hear things — my theory was that it was a little ghost girl and her pet cat (??😭) because i’d always hear the sound of a bell jingling, just slightly, sort of like a cat toy, but there was nothing around that could make that noise, and i used to hear it almost every night but since then i haven’t heard it. and this was like a 4 month period last winter, and near the beginning of it i had my first nightmare IN MY LIFE — like i had literally never had a nightmare before and i haven’t since but i think the ghost did it 😭 but i think after a while it got bored of me and moved on. oh my god wait i just remembered the biggest thing… basically at first i was convinced that herobrine had escaped from my xbox and was haunting me…. yeah it was a joke at first but this all started happening after i opened some of my minecraft worlds i hadn’t used since i was a kid, and at some point i got a hamster and named it herobrine because he “needed a sacrifice” (i was still joking atp) but then the hamster fucking died 😭 and i was taking PERFECT care of it, like i’m a bit obsessive when it comes to pet care and i do intense amounts of research, there was genuinely nothing that could’ve killed it other than….. herobrine 😭

You were asked by your biology teacher to borrow the books for the class’s current lesson from the library on the spot so you took a beeline for the shelves as fast as you could. But for god’s sake all the books were placed at the topmost part of the science shelves. You stood there for a good minute while glaring at the books overhead. You knew you were damned for good since there were no chairs nearby that were available and the librarian was nowhere to be seen. You stomped you feet in annoyance until you felt a looming presence behind you. A tall one. When you turned around, you saw Juza grabbing the books at ease and handing it to you. You thanked him quietly which surprised him because you actually didn’t quiver with fear or panic in his presence??? and you genuinely thanked him?? It was not usual for him to hear someone express their gratitude towards him. Even the cashiers from sweet shops he’d like to visit secretly we’re scared of him for heaven’s sake. After murmuring a little “‘S nothing.” he walked away. And that was the end of it. Or so you thought. The second time you met the purple haired boy was in a cafe. You were patiently waiting in the line for this so called Peanut Butter Pound Cake S'mores. According to your friends, it was one of the best desserts the cafe ever had. To test that theory, you decided to check the dessert yourself. Everything was perfectly normal until a young teenage boy of average height with fluffy pink hair and light blue eyes bumped into you, spilling a little of his drink on you. When you heard that the first image that popped into your mind was a soft looking person just like him you. After you got your order, the two of you made your way towards their table. And with that, your previous thought was thrown out of the window just like that. There he was, one and only Juza Hyodo, the person who helped you in the library, was sitting in a chair, quietly munching on one of the many sweets in front of him. When Muku announced that he was back, his eyes shot up to him and then shifted towards you. Yeah, it was awkward. Nevertheless, you tried to offer the tall boy a smile, which he just nodded his head, cheeks tilted pink to get his sweet tooth exposed to someone from school. After you sat down, Muku began to explain how he accidentally bumped into you and spilled some of his drink on you. Juza got the picture and said nothing. Though, gradually he started to become more comfortable. Before you knew it, you befriend the young teenage boy with fluffy hair. You told Muku how you two first met, which he only exclaimed how cool his cousin was and how the scene was just like from a shoujo manga. So yeah, your friendship with Juza started that day and slowly but steadily developed into something more. You would see him at school and chat with him, give him snacks to eat together on the rooftop etc.

➜ PERSONALITY COMPATIBILITY ; Let me just start of by saying that you two are really similar in terms of personality. The struggle when I’m writing a fanfiction and I’m really excited and I really enjoy it and I want to post and share it with people! But! I know how bad I am at finishing projects and the story isn’t even half done and what if I lose motivation and just have another half finished fic sitting out there and I disappoint EVERYONE. This is such a weird dumb idea and maybe other people have already theorized this and I’m just out of the loop but it’s making me laugh so I’m going to share it anyway

so there’s the whole gregbot thing right? Well what if Gregory isn’t a robot but Vanessa is? Maybe Vanny created her as lookalike/stunt double kind of thing so Vanny was free to wear her creepy mask and run around killing people but could point to Vanessabot who was roaming around the Pizzaplex doing her job as an alibi 

It would explain the rooftop ending where Vanny seems to really closely resemble Vanessa, but Vanessa is shown to be standing up on the roof while Vanny is on the ground. I know there’s the theory of it being Vanessa’s ghost which is probably more likely but idk, Vanessabot is funnier to me for some reason
