I have lived on this piece of land near 47 years and have been into bugs since I was like 5 years old and I just heard cicadas in our backyard trees for the first time ever. Climate change or big brood year or whatever if I actually get to see one I will go insane.
#I know this probably sounds crazy to people inundated with cicadas#but I have only seen one in person once#in Oklahoma#it’s been too cold for them at my elevation here#but twice in the past few years I’ve come across praying mantis#(incredibly exciting)#so who knows#I stepped out and was like#THE TREES ARE BUZZING THE CICADAS ARE HERE
