Daryl Dixon & The Weird Girl Headcanons

In which Daryl is dating the weird, off-putting girl who looks like she could lead a cult. As a weird, off-putting girl who looks like she could lead a cult, I felt called to do this one. I took this down the road of Reader having a creepy/spooky/witchy 'cult' vibe.

Saw this post from the lovely @bambidixon & came up with some headcanons. I hope y’all like them 🖤

Remember, these are MY OPINION. If you disagree, that’s fine, but play nice. I'm still new to doing headcanons, so please be gentle. I may add to this as time goes on.

Warnings: mentions of the following: cults (duh), death, bugs, spiders, taxidermy, animal bones, seances, ghosts/witchy shit

➼ Honestly, he’d be hesitant to approach you at first, wondering if perhaps you were in fact a cult leader in the old world. But he’d be drawn to that strangeness about you.

➼ After getting to know you, though, he’d come to appreciate all of your little quirks, and they’d be his favorite things about you.

➼ He’d be sure to pick and bring you any sort of half-dead or withered flowers he finds so you can dry and press them. He’d also bring you more unconventional plants like ivy, moss, and mushrooms.

➼ You’d decorate your home with all the plants he brings you—ivy hanging from the banisters and curtain rods, dried flowers in vases in the living room, etc.

➼ He would be incredibly protective of you. Not that he wouldn’t normally, but he knows a lot of people have some not-so-nice things to say about you, and he’d quickly put any of those people in their place.

➼ Being a weird, off-putting girl involves having some weird, off-putting interests, such as death, taxidermy, and entomology (the study of insects). Speaking of bringing you things, he’d collect things like animal bones and dead insects for you to add your collection.

➼ If you wore makeup, he’d love to watch you do it. Anything he comes to learn about makeup would be from you. He’d learn your favorite shades of eyeshadow (the dark colors of course) and while he might be intimidated by your black lipstick at first, it would eventually become his favorite shade on you.

➼ You’d make him gifts with your own little twist to them. You’d cut up scraps of fabric from old clothes and paint skulls and spooky things on them to make patches for his vest or jeans, carve astrological or witchy designs into a candle, or make him an ashtray shaped like a spider or beetle.

➼ He likes your style and how you’re not afraid to wear what you want and express yourself through your attire, the bullshit others have to say be damned.

➼ He’d let you paint his nails to match yours. He loves it, even if he pretends to do so begrudgingly.

➼ When going on runs with him, you’d joke that every house you passed was a ‘haunted house’ and talk about the times you did seances with your friends before the outbreak. He’s heard those stories more times than he can count, and he never gets sick of them.

➼ You love to play into the rumor started by some kids in the community that you’re a witch, and he thinks it’s hilarious.

stop a/starion has a BRAND NEW SIM AVAILABLE ON MODTHESIMS FOR THE SI/MS 2

#for those unaware E/A decided that we suffered enough and let us buy reformatted editions of og si/ms and si/ms 2 #which for bitches like me who STILL prefers ts2's gameplay over t/s3 and 4's gameplay (but likes a lot of the other #parts of those two more like the added diversity and everything which t/s2 does lack bc it was last updated in 2008)#in t/s2 it was still clearly a passion project whereas in t/s3 like halfway through the packs you could tell they stopped caring #t/s3 still had the storyline element tho that t/s4 just doesnt #but t/s2's lore is so!!!#the s/ims r/esource has once again proven itself a disappointment bc ppl last made content in like 2013 which is like still good for a game #again last updated in 2008 but yknow #and then made impossible to play so E/A released the whole collection for free after breaking the original buy and now even that doesnt wor #i had to reprogram the entire game last time i tried playing it which is why the price of the not even really a remaster #all they did was update the gameplay so it works on modern pcs (mostly)#which is worth it to me bc im not a great programmer and do not have the time to reprogram a game for three days to play it #and it was my favorite it honestly still is my favorite thing in the world is #playing v/eronaville and ruining shakespeare by making r/omeo and t/ybalt enemies to l/overs and having j/uliet take revenge w m/ercutio #only to get w p/uck its a whole thing but anyways im im so happy at least the m/od the s/ims community never abandoned me #bc t/sr certainly tf did. tumbs seems to have quite a bit of cc too which is so!!!#when my harddrive w all my old gifs and stuff broke i also lost all the CC i made all my meshes and everything #and unfortunately they did not bring body shop back like i wanted i doubt they will so i do not know how to make meshes without it #making custom sims is gonna be a fucking bitch without it actually bc bodyshop is my favorite thing its way way better than ts4's maker #i ust im so happy. also annoyed by the lack of body shop but so happy. i know a lot of ppl are pissed they're charging for it but its worth #it to me. and people are making si/ms 2 machinima again which is also a favorite thing. most of the old ones do NOT hold up anymore #anyways how do i bully E/A into bringing back b/ody s/hop i'll even pay for it at this point make it work for all four games #or at least 2-4 like #i honestly dont play 3 much im a 2 girlie and have been w 4 off and on bc i love it but the lacking is so clear as #someone whos been there since the start yknow but #asidjiasdifbeiadpisadhasidhasipdaspodhifoeajcapsdjsa #out.

Rewatching Cursed (again) and damn I forgot how much Merlin whump there is I mean

Dude straight up ain't having a good time at ALL

I actually started watching Cursed purely for Gustaf Skarsgård because Floki, then realised Dan Sharman was in it and promptly died. Obviously The Weeping Monk became my obsession but we still fuckin love Merlin too.

And all the whump in general is just *chefs kiss*. We get a little bit of lady whump too, which I also love (just never see much of it), particularly Nimue.

Amusingly enough, I came in as a Nimlot (Lancelot/The Weeping Monk x Nimue) shipper, and I still DO like that ship, even actively still read Nimlot fics, buuuttt when I got to THAT torture tent conversation?

Then Lancewain became and solidly remains my fave.

It’s been said before and the fact that I’m an Izzy simp aside like having a character who survives the most certain death shit ever (shooting himself in the head at point blank) and literally being nicknamed by another character “indestructible” and then become a symbol of protection for a whole group of people die from a fucking bullet to the side that was established in universe to have no vital organs in order to “atone for his sins” or however you wanna spin it and have him say he wants to go after (see point one) literally trying to kill himself in the show that is literally about growth and betterment of the self in a cruel world that wants you dead and where the main (and mostly queer) characters survive the most batshit insane injuries is like COSMICALLY stupid writing like I don’t even understand how you get there and the fact that it’s supposed to be a kind/ happy/meaningful ending is beyond me

it may come as a surprise to you all but im thinking about kingdom rn

#what is on my mind. well im specifically thinking about jahan just did the new bss song dance and it's reminding me #how jahan and arthur did the maestro dance with dino and afterwards jahan talked about how mortifying it was to ask dino to do it #then like two weeks later the maestro mushow behind was released and the behind of tkds challenge was featured in it. and #some of the svt members were talking about how happy it made them. outside of tkds range #and when someone pointed out to jahan how they made it into the behind he lost his shit #and i am also thinking about my dann jahan unit pola. and sometimes i don't realize how much detail is in a polaroid #and how lucky i am to have a signed pola of my bias line in one of my top fave stage fits. like how did the universe align like #that for me. that's crazy #and well im thinking about how much i like them. i think when i first got into kpop i didn't understand how people decided who was an ult #or a semi ult. or whatever. and the time just moved so fast and my feelings fluctuate so much how do you know but now i just knowwwwww #when i look at them and when their songs come on shuffle and when i gif them and when i look at my album shelf and i see the hok albums #line up and my photocards and how they're the biggest portion of my binder and how i felt seeing them in concert both times #and im also thinking of the concert im thinking about the shitty ada route for the venue. how the ramp was a solid 45° angle and i managed #to go up but i was so nervous to go down cuz i certainly couldn't walk my rollator down and i didn't wanna fall #and i had to be nearly carried down cuz i was so unstable and it was so embarassing and then i heard dann singing and it was just a really #grounding moment. his voice is so comforting to listen to on my phone and it was so invigorating to hear on stage but to hear it #softly up close. because he always sings back stage and the ada route was backstage and they were behind me to go back to #the green room and I didn't know and. it was such a surprise but it was so nice. so nice #so calming. and how i was so embarassed my rollator was taking up space when i was talking to ivan and when i readjusted it it got #stuck on a crack in the floor because of the angle and i apologized but he immediately told me it was okay and helped me get it unstuck cuz #i was shaky on nerves and adrenaline. and they're just sooooo. wow #ughhhhhh and hwons smile when i did polas with him first tour. and how he held everyone's hands despite the staff saying not #to touch the artist he always grabbed your hands first if you let him and i did cuz i didn't know what to do and he was just so excited #to be there and getting to talk to him while we waited for the pola to print. dude he's so tall like i knew he was tall going in but nothing #prepares you for How damn tall he is till you're right there next to him and god #they r the best. genuinely. :•( i love them so bad #speaking.txt

And then I remembered that I mentioned it in tags somewhere and then I realised that I can literally count on one hand the number of people who have wished me a happy birthday today (because I'm an antisocial hermit, but also because apparently i'm so forgettable that one of my two best friends didn't even fucking remember? so, nifty) and yet you took the time to stop in my inbox and send me this.
