Thoughts one HaruMiki?(Maki x Mikan) It's a ship i just randomly thought of one day and I've shipped it since but I've never seen anyone else think of then together :(

Mikan’s nurturing traits would give Maki that much needed warmth she seldom gets as an assassin. Mikan isn’t much of a pusher either—she’ll always show kindness and assistance to Maki without overstepping Maki’s boundaries and allowing Maki to get more acclimated to her on her own. And, it’s not like Maki’s immune to injuries—she probably seldom ever gets them but when she does Mikan does not hesitate to thoroughly tend even the smallest of scratches!

Plus I believe that Mikan would remind Maki of her friend from the orphanage who was said to have a somewhat similar personality like Mikan’s—sensitive, kind but prone to crying and loneliness. I could easily see Maki having a sort of instinctual need to protect Mikan so that she doesn’t befall a similar fate as her friend did. This will in no doubt also result in Maki making sure Mikan stops saying all those mean things about herself because she is NOT going to tolerate hearing such blasphemy. Nor is she going to tolerate SEEING anyone even ATTEMPT to bully Mikan either.

I’d like to think that Maki still pays a visit to the orphanage from time to time and takes Mikan along with her because Mikan deals with the attention from the kids so much better and genuinely enjoys looking after them. At one point the kids start referring the Mikan as “Maki’s very special friend” and Maki’s face just burns red for the rest of the day while Mikan gets too flustered to properly respond lol.

I do actually own one (1) funko pop and a friend gave it to me as a gift. it is very cute, mostly because it doesn't really look like a funko pop.

all that said, the issue has resolved itself in the time it took to write this reply because I texted my mom like "LOOK OUR KIDS ARE FINALLY GETTING REAL MERCH" and she immediately said "THOSE SHIP RIGHT AROUND YOUR BIRTHDAY" and promptly preordered them so

To be caught off guard by March 7th was undoubtedly the least surprising thing she could do. One minute, Dan Heng could be at peace in his studies. The next, interrupted by a burst of giggles and the clicking of a camera—yet another distraction she'd found for the day.

“ Is that necessary? “ he flatly asked. Dan Heng was already aware it wasn’t, but knowing March, she would not be satisfied unless he did. She had squeezed so close next to him, it wasn't difficult to notice himself in her front camera. Staring with a vacant expression—all but used to his companion’s … eccentric behaviours. A grave difference between the smile who would’ve been more than happy to shout the word aloud for everyone to hear.

Dan Heng had no intention to match her energy. But he saw no reason to refuse either. Maybe—if someone really scrutinized the photo—they might detect the faintest twitch at the corner of his lips.

… But even then, he still looked exactly like himself.

Dan Heng sighed.

What's your thoughts on Tsumugi/Kazuichi ?

(since they both seem somewhat similar to changing their appearances, Though for Kazuichi it was mainly to not get bullied but didn't help him make friends and made look more intimidating)

Oooooo I never really thought of that before! It’s true that they both have dabbled in changing their appearance to become someone “new”. But it’s interesting to see how….reluctant? they are to do/have done so. Kazuichi changed his looks to stop being bullied and betrayed but has stated that he didn’t even want to do it to begin with. It just kind of….wound up like that. Tsumugi loves cosplay but actually doesn’t enjoy wearing the outfits as much as she does making them—preferring instead for someone else to model them but having little faith in others’ intentions (as to whether they’re doing it because they truly love the character or simply for the attention), and so she winds up wearing them herself instead. In a way, they’re both keeping up an appearance that they don’t even want to have mostly for the sake of avoiding getting hurt/disappointed.

I do wonder how these two would interact and if Tsumugi would try to help Kazuichi become more comfortable with his looks. Given how she almost seems prideful of her plain Jane aura, Tsumugi doesn’t seems like she’s had to feel all that self-conscious of her regular appearance. She could, in turn, encourage Kazuichi to be more accepting of his own presentation. Heck, maybe he’ll even start wearing his glasses again on occasion when he sees Tsumugi doing so with no qualms about it. Kaz really does need encouragement/support when doing these sorts of things, I feel. He might have permanently changed some aspects of his appearance but Tsumugi has an eye for making an entire look work on anybody and I’m sure she could highlight the positives that Kaz doesn’t see on himself, and can probably offer way to help him feel more confident; even if it’s suggesting a somewhat less choppy haircut that he doesn’t need to hide under a beanie. And hey, maybe Kaz can help model some cosplays for her. I mean, it’s not like he’ll be doing it for attention after all. Though, Tsumugi would probably encourage him to binge watch the anime first haha.
