i agree that it can be funny to say heehoo matsumura dies and gets no screen time but i love him. but he's also fujita's biggest motivator and seeing fujita's connection to him and drive to be a better sorcerer because of his partnership with matsumura (and also feeling like he, fujita, can never live up to expectations when hes trying his absolute hardest) is just so heart wrenching to me. they were partners and the way their relationship is able to be expressed with one of them dead is really special to me

#i think the fact that matsu can die but still show up in the story- whether hes a zombie baseball player or later in hell helping en #its a cool bit of world building for the sorcerers #and makes fujita's goal of reviving him in the beginning more tangible #i think by the time en is in hell everything has crumbled but i still like the idea that matsu's soul is still kicking around #and in my head fujita is able to bring him back after finding his devil tumor #now having gone through his whole character arc he can be reunited with matsumura and they can be partners again :]#but this time fujita is more confident and the person matsumura always knew he could be #<- 'what if it was that deep' kind of situation i will admit #i also think matsumura is hot but thats a different take lmao
