kieran over the course of indigo disk: it's not fair that Player gets everything and i get nothing after i've tried and worked so hard to get somewhere, i want to have something this once

#soda offers you a can #i mean what the hell else could they have done with him i guess. you need the funny turtle for the dex and competitive scene #but this boy was some excellent bordeline meta commentary and he's forced to fall back in line in a way that breaks my fucking heart #the ogerpon is sitting in my box and i haven't touched it once after catching it. terapagos will do the same #but this is pokemon and it cannot leave its own formula and thus the kid will never get what he desires #and has to settle for being less in every conceivable way #he is not the hero and he will never be. he will never reach what he dreams of because he's doomed to the role of a side character #no matter how much i may care about him he will never be a hero #shitty poopy triple A game should not have me griping over a meta narrative it didn't even intend for us to explore. and yet
