what's something you use in your everyday life that you wish more people knew about/had access to? a toy, aid, object of any kind that's super useful/helpful or comforting and should be more well known and used?

HMMMmm i think this is a bit of a strange answer. but when i was contemplating this ask days ago, i was in and out of the shower... and went. AH-HAH!!

for the (at least mobility) disabled. you should consider getting robes, plural. the bed, for me, is a hamper of my clothes... my temperature fluxes rapidly, so i have many changes and sets. but robes are VERY IMPORTANT, to. they are loose, and i can remove my undergarments / slip them back on w/ little fuss............. can pee in them w/o it being a whole affair, lol....

the reason for plural: there should be one dedicated to Bed/lounging, and another for showering. thus the minimum should be 3: rotate from bed(1) - post-bathing - bed(2), so you're not putting on the same, 'soiled' robe.

for helpful/comforts i think it very much depends on your home layout. you should optimize your living space, and there won't be any particular one tool for dramatic quality of living. everything is about, 'in radius of yourself,' that's more important than the tools themselves, and what people should concern themselves w/

i.e my bedside minifridge means i can drink in days where i'm immobile. they're common, but i don't think ppl consider it an accessibility thing, altho that is how i use it. my roller chair is a mobility tool. my girlfriend wants to implement a detachable shower head, so i can be better cleaned in my shower chair... anyone else would recognize these things as 'preferences,' versus aids.

makes you think. there's a narrow difference between the disabled and abled. the picture is similar enough to be mistaken for the other - but the frame is seen as more important than the art itself.

Headcanons, I don't really have- mostly just thoughts of what I could differently and revamp some characters.

So I tend to wonder myself. Like a part of me thinks, they're less approachable. A.K.A Demetri and Felix- I'm looking at you buds.

I also wonder if some -like the Romanians- have any kind of compromising bone in their body? Like realistically, women have had to spend years fighting for their right to be heard and taken seriously. We still have people out there who would take that away and they aren't centuries-old vampires. So would a very old vampire male who has always gotten the first and last word be willing to give up that kind of power? I see this as one of the Volturi or Romanian covens thinking "Oh you want to do this? Tough shit. It's my way and that's that." Covens like the Cullens that interact more with humans have changed with the times but I wonder to what extent older and isolated covens would still be stuck in rigid ways and how that would go with humans who are of this time?

Beyond a revamping of sorts for Demetri and Felix- I tend to think about the level of violence. The Volturi have definitely gotten their hands dirty over the years and the Romanians literally enjoy torture.

Although all of this could be utter bullshit because I've recognised from writing for different fandoms that I have written for twilight frightened of what people take of my writing and what people will accuse me of rather than just let the story write itself without fear of judgement of those few who take it too seriously. Whereas say for Batman, it has been a case of expect shitty actions from shitty people. I think we all know the Volturi and the Romans especially are a collective of shitty people so anticipate shitty behaviour that's driven by outdated philosophies.

But I'd definitely say Caius, Demetri and Felix needed to be amped up a notch.

The flirty or goofy Felix should be reserved for those he is friends with or more at a certain time or place.

Demetri should be almost silent, as he has been in the books and movies. This might be mistaken as being shy but is really a predator ready to strike at any given moment. When he's interested romantically, that's when he becomes the irresistible dude he knows he is😂😭

For Caius, I'd like to put him more to use. Whilst he is undermined and overruled by Aro constantly throughout the movies. I'd like to display this as a rarity rather than a constant crutch. The two are sadistic lil' shits who bond over this.😂

For Marcus, I think I'd like to have him more of darker side too. Like beyond Chelsea there's a reason why he's still there. He isn't always this zombie who saves the day per say because he likes a good love story- all of that.

I dunno, these are just things that pop into mind. I think their brutal reputation could be kicked up a notch in my writing but worry about the consequences of that since this blog is only for fun and only intended to have fun. Not to mention I think I'd like to have the other Volturi guards more known in my writing.

I have an idea for a pokemon askblog kinda like this but I don't know how to get it off the ground. Do you have any sort of tips?

Chat lots. People like an active blog. You may think it’s a waste of time, or that the ideas “not good enough”, but it helps to grow a group a lot. Silence the voice of doubt, and post as much as you feel like you can. This seems to be people’s biggest roadblock, themselves.

Don’t do stuff you don’t enjoy. It’s your blog, it’s your characters, it’s your ideas, and if you don’t like the content you’re creating, you won’t want to create at all, and the blog will go idle, you will feel disheartened, maybe even annoyed. It’s a sure fire way to forgetting about it, so just remember to write and draw and create about things you love the most. On the same note, it’s ok to not finish stuff. Some projects are never meant to be seen to the end, if you get stuck, switch it up and maybe come back to an old idea when you feel more inspired.

Don’t listen to internet negativity. It’s SO HARD to do, the comments that you get can sometimes be really disheartening, I get em, we all get em, but you have to remember, you started the blog for fun, and to a degree, for you, and no one has a right to take that away and ruin it. Block buttons exist, I encourage people to use them should they feel the need, you have to curate your online experience, and not rise to the bitterness that can sometimes find its way to you through others hateful ways.

On a lighter note, Pokemon has a really decent community, nice folks, lots of people who love to talk shop about the franchise, and if you keep chatting and creating, encouraging conversations to build, reaching out to other blogs and having a nice time, eventually you’ll find likeminded people that will follow you and enjoy what you’re doing.

Always remember, Pokemon is a children’s show first and foremost. I do not discourage any creation, but if you stray into NSFW content, I’d suggest putting it clearly in the bio, so people can decide for themselves if they want to delve into that. We don’t want kids exposed to mature stuff too soon, but the internet, and tumblr itself is a community with an age range (I believe you have to be 16 to make an account?) so you can usually bet there’s not too many really young ones around, and it’s not often a big issue. I suppose just keep in mind, your followers and the people you interact with, you won’t know much about them at the start, they could be 12, they could be 46, so be open minded and considerate of the wide audience Pokemon has, and in turn, you might have.

Hmmmmm, otherwise? Just keep making stuff. That’s all I did, just kept going through it all and now I’m here and I don’t know how really??? Maybe dumb luck, maybe intense love and support from a wonderful community, maybe a bit of both. Either way, it’s totally possible, and you should jump on it and do it!

we know akito is younger than shigure because of that dream but that's all we know, we don't know exactly by how much because her exact age is never given. the only indication of her age is stated in volume 17 chapter 101 at the dinner party where shigure says she's "at least in her 20's" that can be anywhere from 20-24, it doesn't have to be 20 itself.

ok im pretty sure ive already gotten this anon before which is addressing a reply i made on a post (i cant find at the moment) addressing shigure and akitos romance and their age gap. but ill say this again, yes akitos age is not specifically said, however, we are given the ages of shigure and co (26,) kureno, 25 (1 year younger than the trio) and ritsu 23. and all 5 of them are present for akitos conception and birth.

 that dream chapter your are talking about also mentons that while ristu was there he wasnt old enough to remember it. which tells us that this mystical bond dream, is not a permanent memory and can be forgotten if one is not at an impressionable age yet. which means that the other 4 had to be old enough so that they would be able to remember the memory of both the dream and the first encounter with ren sohma while shes pregnant. 

so lets see, lets say that ritsu is 3, that would make kureno 5, and oh, look at that, shigure and trio are then 6. giving shigure a 6 year difference with akito. if you want to be generous you could make ritsu 2 but even then that still makes shigure 5 years older than akito. which in and of itself is not a bit deal except when you think about the fact that they grew u together, and with more likely 6 year age gap that puts them at different developmental stages at every part of their lives, shigure 6 (child),  akito 0 (baby)shigure 12 (preteen), akito 6 (child)shigure 14 (teen), akito 8 (child) i meantion this age specifically because this is their age when shigure gives her a flower in a romantic gesture which grossShigure 16 (teen), Akito 10 (child)shigure 18-24 (adult), akito 12-18 (preteen, teen, adult)

and if the manga is to make us believe that shigure has always have romantic feelings for akito, or at the very least since he was 14, thats just hmmmmm nope. like akito didnt even become a teen until shigure was 19 like????? ew

now im not here to say that you cant like akito x shigure, i personally think that their perfect for each other in a weird way, and fruits basket another shows us that they both have made great strives to be better people for each other, so in this instance it worked out despite the age difference issue. 

i love fruits basket, i think its one of the most well written mangas out there. and akito and shigure are complicated interesting flawed characters and thats what i LOVE about them. but that doesnt mean that you have to excuse their flaws in order to like them or like them as a ship. do i think shigure is a boarderline pedophile or at the very least has an unhealthy obsession with akito? yes i do. do i still think they work as a couple with the narrative they are given? yes
