im not sure theres really one thing, since the aerialbots as a whole were a real "love at first sight" deal for me lmao. but i suppose it was when he got the others to all walk off from the autobots in the key to vector sigma. something about all that build up over these characters that are supposed to be like, The Ideal Autobots, that alpha trion gave up his life to create, only to have this one shitty kid decide that actually the autobots suck and he could do it waaaay better? i love it

many Many things in an attempt to prove himself. the worst was when combination of personal grudge and overconfidence had him trying to fight megatron one and one and he got his shit wrecked like, immediately. literally had to be scraped off the floor. he didnt really learn anything from the experience.

theres at least one canon where hes into nebulan rock operas and i love to take that and expand it to make slingshot a total musical guy in general. he gets really snobby about them. he got into cybertronian shows via a couple recordings blaster had saved but (and this is what hes Really embarrassed about) theres a few human shows hes grown attached to as well. theyre just a lot more accessible than long-forgotten cybertronian musicals!!

oh that's an interesting question! while I think canon gives us evidence that aventurine has complex feelings about his eyes in relation to them being an incredibly visible avgin/sigonian trait (and thus a trait that provokes racial violence), I also don't think canon gives evidence that he would want to actually get rid of them. otherwise it would be exceptionally easy for him to hide them or even swap them out entirely for new eyes with the way that science fiction tech works lol. so this is the background assumption for the rest of my thoughts here: he feels complicated about his eyes, but he still wants to keep them.

now, the rest of this answer admittedly involves a lot of projection, but I do think aventurine likely feels attached to his eyes because they are a marker of his clan, and I think that is why he would feel very sentimental about passing his eyes on to his child - it would be a very visible indication that the avgin clan has survived despite the persecution they have had to endure.

I do think he would be terrified about his child being visibly avgin (out of concern for their safety), but only in the way that any person of colour in real life, when living in a country that may violently target people who look like them, would feel scared for their child. but even if you are scared for your child, it doesn't mean that you are horrified by the idea of them having your ethnic features. on the contrary, many people who've faced discrimination for their features tend to resist by establishing a certain pride in them. I like to think that's why aventurine never hides his eyes, and I also like to think that's why he would feel very fondly about his child inheriting his eyes.

idol land is just so poorly designed. okay so lets take any idol gacha game pretty much. ill use love live sif since a) popular and b) the franchise also has(/had?) an arcade game. so instead of coords you get character cards. the game had one currency for most of its run, and you could buy it for real money but you could also earn it. you could easily get 5 per song (6 if you grinded the low difficulties), youd get some during events, and you got one for using a card for a few songs and unlocking the card story. so it was very easy to get enough (50) for the gacha through normal gameplay, but they still made a lot of money bc they had whales who would buy heaps of this currency to get all the cards of their favourite characters. and late in the game, they added a paid currency, but they never made any content exclusive to this currency. bc of this, some people felt comfortable buying the currency from time to time, but a lot of people still played for free which made events more exciting and had people recommending the game to friends etc. and... now theres a sequel bc the original was so successful

now take idol land. you have to pay for certain songs, theres no rewards for playing a song bc this game that is designed for adults still uses the arcade games super easy gameplay. theres a premium and an unpaid currency, you cant pay for the unpaid one and you cant earn the paid one through gameplay. you get a paltry amount of silver idollars each promise, and youd need to grind for hours to even dream of affording most silver idollar coords. so the main way to get silver idollar coords is either use gold idollars to get enough mileage to get more silver ones, or hope for a login bonus. and gold idollars.... oh theyre the worst. so instead of gambling, you just straight up buy coords with real money. or you can just gamble if you want. but only with real money!!! you cant use the free currency to gamble!!!!!

so like... why should you play a live other than to see ur character in their nice expensive coord next to people who are probably wearing horribly mismatched outfits or are just not dressed in a way that fits the promise. you get a couple likes thatll help you rank up, sure, but... thats literally it. you rank up to get some mychara parts that you probably wont end up using after doing way too many promises.

like... nobodys telling their friends or mutuals or whatever to play this game. nobodys raving about this pointless game which is essentially just a really basic character creation menu which they forgot to attach a game onto. and you have to pay for most of the coords when they dont give you a reason to want them in the first place!!!

odette. side character from ot1 with too little screen time and my favorite ot woman. autistic coded, best friend of cyrus, (but her cotc story is not about him). her story is about how she's been taking in and teaching impoverished children and trying to raise them without violence while researching an ancient ritual for summoning rain (setting is a desert town). she's so funny and i love her so much

tithi's story is footloose if footloose included beating up cops. she returns to a town she left where dancing is banned and just. starts dancing and runs away or fights whenever the cops try to stop her. eventually she beats up one of the aristocrats and theyre like oh my fucking god iv had enough of you fine whatever. she's silly and sweet and i like her

dorothea is a socialist merchant. shes a nepo baby who found everything but her parents casino boring so she just left. she likes gambling and makes this her career by seeing investments as a form of it. she goes to visit one of her friends and finds out theres some asshole overpricing the only cure to a mysteriously localized illness. she threatens the guy making the poison into making her a ton of the cure then tricks the asshole into giving her literally all of his money. then beats him up. and invests the money back into the towns recovery and her friends hobby. shes so funny and clever "i poisoned this wine btw. ill give you the cure for your entire net worth. awesome thanks. jk i wouldnt ruin such good wine. teehee"

Aedelgard and Sarisa!!!!! are two women who are in each others traveler stories bc they were released as a trio with Yukes (her servant, boy, so doesnt matter here). aedelgard is a princess of a small nation and she has a lot of siblings. she's her father's favorite bc shes silly and kind so her siblings all hate her to various degrees. her story is about a tournament she participates in for funsies where one of her brothers tries to rig it against her and fails. sarisa's story is. super gay subtext. they're yuri. sarisa is her maid who was taken in by another of aedelgards brothers and assigned to her. she has "many talents" from tea to killing people. her story starts with her fighting thieves targeting aedelgard and fighting a guy who bought all the best sugar to resell bc she wants to get better at baking. then aedelgards brother shows up and tries to assassinate her. sarisa instinctively dismantles the trap herself despite her owing her life to him, justifying it by telling him that "that wouldnt have been strong enough to kill her." so he tells her she should assassinate aedelgard, because she "wouldnt question" poison given to her by sarisa. comedy scene where your set protag thinks the tea sarisa gives aedelgard is poisoned but its just not. protag confronts her about how clearly she is having a conflict about this (the brother has the trope line of "you havent grown attached to her, have you?") and she doesnt know why she wont kill her. yukes finds them to say that aedelgard was invited to her brothers house and sarisa goes Fuck. Shit. and you go there. andits. auughmhm. sarisa runs to where aedelgard is and she is just. chilling. shes used to her siblings wanting to kill her. and her brother tells sarisa this is her last chance to kill aedelgard herself otherwise he will. and she TRIES. she walks up to her and stares at her and has a breakdown. aedelgard says some really gay shit and sarisa turns on the brothers guards and fights them. aedelgard implied she spares her brothers life because she wouldnt have met sarisa without him. (!!!!!!!) and then she asks sarisa to make her some awful fucking cakes and they leave. ("i'll make as many as you want!") i love them soooo much.

really shitty explanation as to why i like bandori more

bandori or BanG Dream! is a franchise all about these girls in different bands. theres five of them. imo i really like bandoris gameplay more than sifs. with bandori theres more variety to like sliders and stuff while sif is just the occasional masters song with the slide thing. you can also play if you dont have any fire left while sif you cant if you have no more stamina thing. but sifs story i actually sat through cause im more attached to the charas and bandoris i just kinda skipped it :’). 🌹 Where in the world does your OC feel most at home? Is there any reason why? If it’s not the place they were born, where were they born? Is there a certain somebody that makes them feel at home where ever they may be? What does home mean to them?

his moms apartment is probably the place where izumin feels the most at home. mommas boy. he just really likes his mom. it does tire him out a lot to be around his aunt/siblings though so he also cant stick around for very long because he doesnt feel all that welcome (its his own fault its ok).

🍁 Where does your OC go when they need to have some time to themself? Would they ever have their own “comfort corner” filled with all the things they like? Do they have a favourite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?

izumins apartment is probably the closest to an actual comfort spot to him because he can escape there when he doesnt want anybody to bother him for a while, but he isnt really emotionally attached to it much so its pretty arbitrary. he doesnt like to decorate much because its just more stuff to clean.

yuzuru doesnt really have a specific place. he does like to hoard/decorate, but if he needs alone time he generally prefers to just wander outside on his own aimlessly.

weedman has his own room back home!! he rarely ever needs/wants alone time, but if he had to, he would just bundle up in there with a bunch of snacks. its a huge mess because he doesnt know what organizational skills are, and the walls are covered in tv posters.

🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?

hiromin really likes being invited to random events (even if she has to or wants to decline) because it helps make her feel like shes a bit more normie and people appreciate her presence. she also gets very excited whenever she manages to recognise a pop culture reference.

kotorin is a bit of a peoplewatcher and she tends to feel very proud for other people when they push themselves to step out of their comfort zone and get something done that they didnt think theyd be able to. she tends to get very excited when people feel comfortable enough to goof around with her because it shows that they arent intimidated by her. she really likes being sent cute animal videos/pictures and she loves the kind of tiny animal figures you can get from gachapon machines.

when izumin really likes somebody, he likes to see them get excited about really tiny things, or mess around and make really bad jokes, even though hes very much in denial about it (and will sometimes even poke fun at the person for it). he tends to feel very excited when animals hes never interacted with approach him to ask for pets. he also really likes it when strangers who obviously have no idea who he is ask him for tiny favors. he tends to get very excited when he finds a person whos even a little interested in musical theater.

taka really likes sending/being sent random memes, especially when the other person has clearly no idea what the meme means. he likes seeing people be very clueless in general as long as its about something harmless because he finds it very funny (also it boosts his self esteem). he really likes rainy days because he finally has an excuse to lie around doing nothing all day. also getting a UR in gacha games maybe

💐 How does your OC handle being unwell or forced to rest in bed? Who cares for them and in what ways? Does your OC enjoy being doted on or are they a terrible patient? Reversed: is your OC good at taking care of others who are ill or in need?

yuzuru is a bit of a workaholic when it comes to things hes genuinely passionate about so if he were to get sick he would absolutely try to pretend that hes fine until he collapses or something. he would be complaining a lot more about not being allowed to do things rather than how hes feeling though hed eventually attempt to actually rest if he was badgered hard enough about it. hes probably the most careful with physical injuries as theyre somehow more serious in his mind, so he actually takes proper precaution with them.

hes really good at taking care of other people. hes a bit quick to panic but he generally tends to calm down relatively fast. he can and will remember all of your meds for you, and he will take on all of the chores without any complaints.

kotorin is sort of a tsundere about it. she really likes to be spoiled when she feels ill but shes too embarrassed to ask for it straight out. usually she will try to take it easy while still getting some amount of work done until someone yeets her into bed. she will usually just silently lurk in the gc or scroll through social media until she finds someone who will keep her company.

shes pretty good at taking care of people as well. shes not really easy to freak out and shes very practically minded.

pettan is a big baby. she will be whining the entire time about how awful she feels (even when its not too bad) and she will either want to be completely left alone or cling to somebody like theres no tomorrow. she will beg people to do her chores and she wont have any qualms about just lying in bed all day.

she doesnt really know how to take care of other people because she doesnt have much experience with it. shes pretty easily freaked out and at times tends to assume something is a lot worse than it actually is, which can lead her to just kind of flail aimlessly instead of actually being helpful. shes most likely to be helpful when shes consulting google, though even then she can be way more dramatic than she needs to be.

nakajima is just a dying old man. if he still has work left he will do his best to push through it until the bitter end, if hes free he will just collapse into a pile and just sleep through the entire thing. hes not super reluctant to ask close friends to help out a little though.

hes pretty good at taking care of other people too (altho who would ask him lol loser has no friends). he knows a lot of home remedies off the top of his head and hes really good at giving advice.

🌿 What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?

both izumin and taka are a lot more prone to doing favors for other people rather than being verbally affectionate. they generally pay attention to what sort of things the other person likes/appreciates and save the information for later then surprise the other person with it. izumin is a lot more prone to complaining than taka when it happens to involve him having to do something he doesnt like though.

🌺 What does your OC do to calm down when they’re scared or after a nightmare? Do they have any special comfort items or need to be reassured by a specific person? How do they handle this if they’re alone?

weedman is extremely needy and will physically cling to any friend he can find (taka is preferable but really anyone he gets along with works). if thats not an option, he will bundle up and try to binge a bunch of youtube videos or read up on super sentai stuff.

natsurin likes to pat and cuddle with his pets. humans would also be fine but hes not the type who would go to someone for help. he also has a few comfort foods (mostly desserts).

yuzuru is kind of embarrassed to be seen as anything but competent so unless its with really close friends, he will do his best to put on a tough act and pretend that everything is fine. hes likely to just lie awake in bed and browse on his phone (maybe chat someone as nonchalantly as he can manage) until he feels like he can fall asleep again, or get out of bed and attempt to clean/cook.

dude just the audacity of this game... like...

On the surface it is an ok turn based combat game. it has some fun little gimmicks going on and I respect that. HOWEVER, I was promised that I would meet a bunch of cool characters and then I would have to fight them as I discover things about them which would make me attached to them and making me eventually upset when they would meet their inevitable demise. I thought "cool! its like darkest dungeon then!"

You follow a protagonist who is a boring ass man and thats not my opinion, his personality is just "im a boring dude with a boring job and life is a drag anyway im gonna let ppl boss me around and just do shit bcs whatever man" so like oh great i already give no shits about this dude bcs why would i care abt his development if he doesnt even want any zzz.... anyway hes tropey as hell and so is his boss, the lady that runs the library... so like... as soon as i realized it was a bunch of tropey stuff i was like "oh no...."

BY THE WAY The whole introduction of the game was delivered to me by..... visual novel style dialogue. which... ok fine... im still at the start its the introduction

and then i got to meet my first new characters!!! a bunch of little dudes that come from a poor part of the city and im like "oh cool!"

they come into the arena (im not explaining the whole game) thingie to fight our protag with their ambitions and then i defeat them and then... theyre dead.... thats it.... now all the story i have abt them is a tiny lore book that i can farm... because its a GACHA GAME..........

andi was like "wait... thats it?" AND SURE ENOUGH AS SOON AS THAT BATTLE IS DONE I GET TO MEET MORE CHARACTERS THAT ARE TROPES AND WILL DIE AND DELIVER NOTHING ELSE

like what kind of fucking shounen bs is this where villains last 5 seconds and then its like they dont exist anymore and nothing they did mattered either though theres a vague connection to the next thing

I kept progressing the game a bit thinking maybe it had a slow start but NOOO I started unlocking new places and characters to fight on my side AND THEY STILL DELIVER NOOTHIIIINNGG

THE GAME IS LITERALLY JUST:

WATCH DIALOGUE THROUGH VISUAL-NOVEL "PRESS TO SKIP" -> JUMP INTO AN ARENA WITH PEOPLE THAT SOMETIMES WEREN'T EVEN IN THE DIALOGUE THINGIE -> DO SOME GACHA STUFF -> REPEAT

HOW IS THIS NARRATIVE THROUGH GAMEPLAY THIS IS LITERALLY JSUT THREE DIFFERENT THINGS PUT TOGETHER WITH DUCT TAPE

THERE WAS NO EMOTIONAL CONNECTION WHATSOEVER TO ANYONE BECAUSE THE PROTAGONISTS ARE BORING AND THE QUIRKY CHARACTERS JUST HAVE A SET DIALOGUE THEN DIE GOD I WANT MY MONEY BACK WHY DID I CREATE EXPECTATIONS
