Ok, so here's my crisis right? I adore Pomme. I want to draw Pomme because she's become one of my top three favorite eggs and qsmp characters in general. BUT. I CANNOT. THINK OF A CONSISTENT DESIGN FOR HER.
Like, the fandom is so creative with their interpretations of her that no single design jist clicks instantly you know? For example, most people draw Tallulah with brown, curly hair, or Richas with the afro that covers his eyes- but Pomme is just one of those characters that the fandom doesn't unanimously agree on with her design.
Like, lately I've seen Pomme with short/long blonde hair, white hair, braids, really short hair, a hijab, etc. That's just a list of different hairstyles!
AND I HONESTLY LOVE THAT
BUT IT MAKES DRAWING HER 10× MORE DIFFICULT BUT ITS OK BECAUSE SHE'S THE BEST

Hey there, just wanted to say thank you so much for the reply! I'm the tattoo anon and your very thorough post about it helped me a lot with writing! I've come to the end and I'm wondering a few things: what are proper aftercare instructions? does the tattoo need to be patched off (and if so, for how long)? about the design; if a client brings their own is it always applicable? what do you use to pen it over first on the body before tattooing (sharpie lol?) Thanks again and enjoy your day :)
Oh hi again :)
I'm glad i could help! Let me try and do it again.
So, this is (again) just what i do and the instruction i give, some places might be different, other places may not.
Basically, proper aftercare instructions i give to my clients are pretty simple:
1. I put jell/vaseline on the fresh tattoo and cover it with a bandage or a plastic wrap to keep it clean.
2. After two hours i instruct the new parent to take the plastic wrap/bandage off and clean the tattoo with soap and water.
3. Before bed, wrap it again. It's just the first night and the only night you gonna have to wrap it because the ink is going to be coming out a little and it's just a small precaustion as to not get your sheets and clothes all dirty.
4. For the next 3 weeks, you gonna have to apply a certain cream (where i live it's simple and straight forward. Here it calls Befanten+, probably every country has its own regulations and cream. It's a good product and i don't really like the tattoo-aftercare designated products so that's my recomendation) or ointment or at least a moisturizor, 3-5 times a day.
5. Keep the area moist and don't touch it. When you apply a thin layer of ointment, make sure you clean your hands before with an antiseptic soap.
6. Always tap dry the tattoo, or let it air dry. Don't rub it and don't dry it with anything other than a clean towel or soft paper towels.
7. Avoid sun exposure, at least for a month.
8. Don't go swimming while your tattoo's healing. This one is important. Don't have baths, don't go to the lake, don't go the the beach, don't swim in your or other people's pool. After your tattoo has peeled and healed properly, be my gust, but not before that or you'll might get infection. Think of a tattoo as a wound.
9. It's pretty weird, but i always say treat your tattoo not as an open wound, but as a serious burn. Don't cover it. Don't shower in hot water. Don't pick or scratch it.
10. Let it heal.
It's all pretty straight forward but you'll be surprised how many people don't follow these instructions.
About the design:
I personally have no problem tattooing people who bring their own designs as long as it's something i can follow through. I don't do colourful tattoos so i have limitations, but basically, i meet the person, we talk, decide on the design and go with it. If they have an already formed idea, i'm always humbled they trust me to do it. If they want, i also desing costume tattoos.
Some tattoo artists tattoo only original works. Some tattoo only realistic works, old school, small desigbs etc. Some do only roses. You really want to search for the perfect match in your tattoo artist, and look at their works before you let them touch you with a needle.
The design is usually printed on a special printer and transfered to your body. When you're happy with it, the tattoo artist will basically trace this sort of blue-purple-ish outline with a needle and shade or colour it according to the original design.
Sometimea the tattoo artist will draw free hand on you, or just add something to the flash with a sharpie like pen, but aside from that, nothing magical :)
Hope it was at least half the help my other clumsy explenation was. Also, feel free to send any other questions you may have. I'm nice and i like helping where i can ✌🏼❤
