Sometimes I'll see a kid crying in a film I'm watching and the perfomance feels so realistic I just think to myself how on earth is there an ethical way to make that child cry as if their actual life depended on it?
#this is for modern films bc obviously there was a time when a kid genuinely was being harmed to get them to cry in hollywood#but theoreticallt were past that now#brie speaks#city of lost children
