Am I the only one who thinks OPM gets a little dull when Saitama is gone for too long?
There are plenty on the subreddit who always whine whenever there’s no Saitama. Some who in fact, admit they actually skip any chapters without him! Which in my opinion is a huge shame.
Because both the opm world and its rich cast is full of many colorful, interesting characters to be enjoyed and treasured for those who bother to look. And Saitama, especially as a passive protagonist where the world’s real drama and intrigue keeps revolving beyond him, is only one single tip of the iceberg; there’s plenty more to see than just him.
So I would honestly say it’s a bit of the reverse: solely focusing on him all the time is what makes it dull, and using him sparingly when it counts (esp the moments when you miss him most) is what makes it work. And those who only care or follow just for Saitama are sorely missing out on much (or even the majority) of the story.
#opm#saitama#anonymous#replies#so my honest hot take: those who always whine when this happens is another big reason i find the subreddit so annoying#because i care for plenty more characters besides just him; and seeing the story’s wc elements adapted in new ways is fun#but their near constant whiny broken record and narrow focus there just makes it no fun#cause if they literally Don’t Read the story (their choice) then of course there’s nothing new to find or enjoy in it! aaaa
