#matt babbles#the witcher#finished the 2nd season earlier this week#while I loved it overall I enjoyed the first 2 episodes the most#loved the monster of the week vibe from them#the first episode with Nivellen was especially fantastic#I liked everything with the main characters#but the whole nilfgaard/elves storyline bored the absolute fuck out of me#probably due to the fact I do not like/care about Fringilla in the slightest#same with Francesca and Cahir#like I just don't care about them at all#the storyline isn't that bad but it's just hard to care about it#whereas everything else was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it all#unlike that fucking animated nightmare of the wolf film#I watched it before starting season 2 and holy crap it was terrible#like it was so bad#the type of bad that just makes you laugh at it#anyway the only thing I didn't like at the end was not getting the actor back for Eist hahah#it was so awkward and pulled me completely out of those scenes#especially when Calanthe & Mousesack reached out to her#just so awkward not having Eist there too
