I knew the van gogh scene would mess me up bc I am already feeling A Way™ tonight but holy shit was I not expecting it to leave me a heaving sobbing wreck
#that was the only ep in that season worth a damn#possibly the only 11 episode worth a damn at all#I have the book of his letters and I gotta read it#but the museum guys speech just......hwuf#and like#I just love the indulgent fantasy this scene offers#that he could understand how loved he is today#how much we appreciate his mind and his emotions and his art#its so hopeful and kind#its the ultimate expression of wanting to show someone whos depressed or insecure how much they mean to you#bc they cant see it and you want them to#and your heart breaks for them#and you just want to give them that moment that van gogh has#its such a human scene#that whole ep is just such a good expression of doctor who at its best#im crying again
