Happy holidays, @kitameguire! I was your @dcmksecretsanta this year!
I decided to try the Kaito/Ran prompt and put together this edit from one of your favorite films, Movie 14, The Lost Ship in the Sky! The manga panels come from the official movie manga, and I had a ton of fun coloring them! I've included the full panels that I colored under the cut; please feel free to use as desired. I hope you enjoy!
Apologies that these are a little messy ^^;
#dcmksecretsanta#kitameguire#detective conan#case closed#dcmk#the lost ship in the sky#ran mori#kaitou kid#kid the phantom thief#my edits#i'm so sorry this is so late! i hurt my hand vacuuming and broke my tablet pen to the point where only the eraser works (sometimes)#i thought about scrapping the colored manga idea altogether and getting this posted sooner but i really wanted to make this special#i hope i made the right choice!#(also not to be an informercial but i got the japanese ebook on book walker! i was *so* happy i could easily buy japanese ebooks there)#(without a japanese address)#(really recommend the site to anyone looking for japanese ebooks)#(edit: sorry reupload! should be the proper composition this time ^^;)

I don't want to reblog the post that I've seen going around since it seems to be confusing a few different stories, but in case the popular manga scan sites get taken down soon, I wanted to point you guys towards HakuNeko - it's a program you can install that lets you easily download manga in bulk from your preferred source sites
I regularly use this to make my own epubs so I can read manga on my ereader, if anyone's curious as to how to do that, I broke the process down here. the first part of my answer walks you through how to download stuff using HakuNeko
#I really recommend learning how to make your own epubs even though it may sound tedious#not only do you then have the series accessible w/o needing the internet but you can share with others#which is great if the series doesn't have an official translation or digital release

Headcanons: Being the Fourth First Year at Tokyo's Jujutsu Tech
a/n: coming back strong with a fun little post- i'm a manga reader so i need some joy in this media!
Synopsis: what it's like being one of the first years in Tokyo's Jujutsu Tech
Content Warning: none, really! some swearing and canon typical violence- nothing descriptive
gender neutral! reader
Thank you @saradika for this great divider!
Meeting Them:
✿𝅼 - You had a later start to the year, arriving just a few days after Nobara
✿𝅼 - Whether you had previous knowledge of the Jujutsu world or not didn't matter- you were definitely not prepared for the chaos you stepped into
✿𝅼 - A tall guy in a blind fold- who you later found out was your teacher and the strongest sorcerer, Satoru Gojo- was happily waving you over
✿𝅼 - That alone wouldn't bother you, if it wasn't for the black-haired boy he was holding by the collar. The kid looked tired and about ready to go home
✿𝅼 - Gojo welcomed you and introduced you to the boy he was holding as Megumi, telling you to not mind his "gloomy attitude"
✿𝅼 - It was going great, Gojo was recommending all kinds of cafes and bakeries near by. Megumi was checking his phone, offering quick responses when needed
✿𝅼 - The calm was broken by loud bickering. When you looked over Gojo's shoulder (which was kind of hard with his height) you watched an angry girl stomp her way over. The closer she got the better you could see that she was knocking her fist against a pink-haired guy's head- something about letting her shopping bags drag on the ground
✿𝅼 - The guy was yelling back at a lower volume, trying to stop her from hitting him more. It was a strange site, but what really stuck out to you was the tell-tale buttons on their uniforms
✿𝅼 - These maniacs were going to be your new classmates
✿𝅼 - After the initial meetings and getting settled into your new room, you were sent out on your first mission. It was just going to be you, so it was nothing more than a few grade fours- maybe grade three at worst
✿𝅼 - The location was an abandoned lake on the country side, and to make sure all went well the other first years tagged along
✿𝅼 - Nobara wasn't happy to be stuck in some swamp and made sure everyone was aware; Yuji had wondered off a few times when he saw cool looking bugs and frogs; Megumi, thankfully, was a big help and guided you on what to expect
✿𝅼 - At some point you broke off from the group, following the trail of cursed energy to the other side of the lake. It was a good distance, and with a sudden fog that rolled in you were basically on your own
✿𝅼 - Unsurprisingly, things didn't go as planned and somehow a semi-grade 2 curse had snuck its way into the area
✿𝅼 - Of course, you're a boss and handled yourself. When you made your way back over, exhausted and beat-up, Yuji and Megumi ran to help you- Nobara called in Ijichi to come pick you all up as she pulled bandages from her bag
✿𝅼 - While the bruises and cuts stung, it was a very good bonding experience! Nobara's bandages were really cute (she let you pick which color and design to make you feel better), and Yuji carried you everywhere for the rest of the day
✿𝅼 - Thank god for Megumi, he was the one talking to Shoko, getting you water, and checking in on you
✿𝅼 - They were all still chaotic, sharing one brain cell when they were together- but they were your idiots who made you feel like family
General HC:
✿𝅼 - If you identify as female/ use she/her/they pronouns, expect Nobara to kind of kidnap you a lot. She's a girl's girl and will back you up constantly, taking you shopping with her and building up your confidence.
✿𝅼 - Continuing the previous head canon, she will drag you away from Megumi and Yuji if they're annoying her while saying something like "y/n and I are leaving before you infect us with your stupid"
✿𝅼 - If you identify as male/ use he/him/they, Yuji is going to constantly be in your space- this boy has no sense of personal bubbles and you can tell. He's definitely the type to joke around- like he for sure jokingly flirts with you
✿𝅼 - Yuji has said the lines: is it gay to kiss my bro morning, noon, and night? no- it's called being a supportive friend!
✿𝅼 - Doesn't matter what gender you are to Megumi- he just hopes you'll help him wrangle the others in (he is so tired)
✿𝅼 - I don't care if you have the biggest brain in the world, it's useless when you're all together
✿𝅼 - It's so much worse when Gojo's there too- like he feeds into the bullshit
✿𝅼 - like you all would be cleaning out the dorm fridge and Yuji would see a jar that's THREE FULL YEARS EXPIRED and go "bet you guys ten bucks I could eat this and keep it down"
✿𝅼 - You're already pulling out a ten, "I know you're a pit, Yuji, but even this is too much- I'm betting against you"
✿𝅼 - Nobara is slamming down a ten before you can even finish, "Y/N'S RIGHT! THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN HANDLE THAT"
✿𝅼 - Megumi isn't putting any money down, just grumbling and readying a trash can for if Yuji up-chucks
✿𝅼 - Just as Yuji grabs a spoon and is scooping up some of the nasty smelling gunk, Gojo's hand grabs his wrist. None of you are too shocked, your teacher pops in and out whenever he pleases
✿𝅼 - "Now Yuji," Gojo's got a serious expression on as he continues, "I can't let you do this... without giving you some advice!" and he goes right back to being a child "You should eat it in one go so you don't have the chance to regret it!"
✿𝅼 - After letting Yuji go Gojo slides a twenty onto the table, "Double on him keeping it down"
✿𝅼 - Yuji was, in fact, able to keep it down- too bad for you, losing a ten
✿𝅼 - During missions, you all tag along together even if there's only one person assigned. It's great support! Also none of you have gotten horribly injured because of this new system!
✿𝅼 - I feel like at some point you will interact with Sukuna in some way- and that curse does NOT like you
✿𝅼 - To Sukuna, you're not Megumi so that makes you boring. If you happen to have an interesting technique, he'll mess with you a bit if he ever takes control then beat the shit out of you
✿𝅼 - Also, movie nights are a must! Yuji usually doesn't host them after Nobara whacked him over his posters. So you, Megumi, and Nobara switch up who's room is used
✿𝅼 - Yuji always picks the movies and they're always good, somehow they appeal to all of you. Also the amount of snacks is shocking, but they never go to waste!
✿𝅼 - Every movie night you guys fall asleep on each other. Yuji is a literal furnace so all of you end up piling on him when it's cold- or trying to get out of his koala grip during hot nights
wasn't sure how to end this so...
either way i might do this more, writing these were fun!

Twilight Out of Focus Ep 3 Stray Thoughts
Last week, we got the traumatic backstory for Hisashi as he broke up with his old homeroom teacher. While tending to Hisashi's wound, Mao admitted that he likes him, and the two almost got intimate. Mao ran away, confusing Hisashi, and causing him to mess up on set. Mao has assured Hisashi that they'll talk after they finish shooting the film. I'm obsessed with the complex layers of sexuality in this show.
Interesting. Now Hisashi is the one dialed in and Mao is the one who is distracted.
I continue to love the blending of manga panel styles in this show.
Absolutely thrilled that they're highlighting how awkward and uncomfortable it is to kiss on screen, and how the real kiss they had last week feels different.
Damn. Film sets are like construction sites. There are trip hazards everywhere. Not a place to be losing your focus because you got jealous.
Oh fuck yeah! We're bringing back the truth telling on camera. I love that it worked instantly.
The kisses in this show feel so natural and earned.
I am losing it over them narrowing the screen during the sex.
Losing it over this show owning that there's a learning curve to some aspects of gay sex.
Finally, we have a bottom describing how they felt.
AFTERCARE! PILLOW TALK!
What is this sad as fuck BL they're making?
A second round of just handies? THIS IS A GAYS ONLY EVENT. GO HOME!!
I really hope this film doesn't get leaked or stolen. I will be furious.
This show is actually so romantic about filmmaking and I'm enamored.
Holy shit that final scene was so good.
I keep saying this, but the best shows this year are some of the best we've ever had. I absolutely love that the episode about filming the first kiss of the BL characters led to the first sex and full confession of the real guys in our show (who are also fictional, obviously), and that they do used in the physical and emotional realities of gay sex. We had an open admission that part of it might create discomfort, we had Mao learning to enjoy being with another man, and we had pillow talk and after care. I love that we went into that scene with Hisashi asking if it was okay when he asked Mao to tell the truth to the camera, and before they had sex both times. I love as well that Mao filmed them together in the morning. He says he can't lie to a camera, so it affirms even more the truth of his feelings. I love that the discovery happening between them is making them see their own lives differently, and improving their work. Finally, I also love that Mao knows this isn't the end of their story. Their lives aren't static. They had sex and confessed that they like each other a lot, and they are going to face the changes that come. This show is so, so special.

Ooh it was a good choice to read love bullet. My only complaint is the site I was reading on broke and showed a completely different manga in the middle of chapters. But love bullet is good

2023 post round-up/summary
Lovely @twig-tea tagged me here, so I'll try my hand.
I'd abandoned tumblr for about 4? 5? years 2016ish through 2020, had a short stint with it again in 2020, took peeks and vehemently disagreed with much of what I saw in 2021-2022, and grudgingly settled back in in 2023. I wasn't going to interact. I wasn't.
Jan-April: *crickets* I was being strong!
Then, I saw people moaning about how they'd learn Thai if only it was on Duolingo, and you know how spite can be funnelled into positivity? I did that! Result:
May
Popular: Free Thai Language Learning Resources, most popular by a landslide. This pleases me greatly, as I put a lot of work into it and always hope more people start picking up this language.
Favourite: maybe my thoughts on Ming, piggybacking off @kenmakaashi's post?
June
Popular: my musings on translation and how it relates to fannish reception of media, which was my most popular post of the year and 'broke containment', if only in a very small way. Some of the additions in the tags and reblogs are fantastic, do go have a look if you like!
Favourite: toss-up between my attempt at showing a parallel between a silly moment in Our Skyy 2 x BBS and a scrapped shot from BBS proper and this rant about Romanisations of Thai and why G**gle translate is the devil (that bit is in the conversation downthread), which let me meet @plantsarepeopletoo.
July
Popular: Summary of James Welker's 2006 essay "Beautiful, Borrowed, and Bent: “Boys’ Love” as Girls’ Love in Shōjo Manga"
Favourite: the offerings are slim here … let's go with the one in which I once more was salty about the way folks talk about BL
August
Popular: Only Friends' Ray isn't just The Drunkard, but also The One Who's basically Given Up On Himself, as per his title card (this one was so popular it got stolen and reposted – without credit or permission – to twitter 🙃)
Favourite: Thinking about Drama, the Romance genre, and tropes, and how those relate to our perception of BL (good additions from various folks in the notes; conversation with @visualtaehyun in reblogs and @twig-tea in the replies).
September
Popular: IFYLITA Ep 6 poem context notes
Favourite: toss-up between complaining about badly machine translated content in Love in Translation and musing on the name of Khun Yai's favourite bar
October
Popular: my long-winded answer to @zimmbzon's ask "Hi, how would a non-binary person (me) get around the binary gender rules and vocab in Thai?"
Favourite: uhhh … maybe my musings on honorific translations in kimi ni wa todokanai? (yes, technically a reblog from sideblog, shh)
November
Popular: most popular was this throwaway therapy vent containing food for thought and while I guess this meme is mostly fannish I'm linking it anyway because it's my blog and I'll cry if I want to (or something)
Favourite: when I called out the resemblance between the Last Twilight trailer and Intouchables (2011). Literally no one cared, but then @my-rose-tinted-glasses independently came in strong with receipts as soon as the actual first episode aired and made me feel validated af.
December
Popular: Why I'm pretty sure Last Twilight's "fried rice/false rice" joke was funnier in Thai
Favourite: the saga of the songs in Ep 4 of Last Twilight
I didn't do any round-up posts, but I'll include the other category @twig-tea added:
Five other posts that I want to highlight because I can:
BL Favourites Tag Game (July 2023)
Link to fujoshi.info with information on WHY you should check out that site if you're interested in having an informed opinion on BL and the genre's history.
contemporary issues in Thailand as mentioned in Only Friends ep 1
Thoughts on code-switching in Step by Step
Reply to @mynameisnotthepoint's comment-via-ask on my anti viki rant
I'm not going to tag anyone because I'm completely lost – I was mostly off tumblr for nearly three weeks; if you made a post like this you'd like me to see, please link me/tag me! <3

omg i saw someone post their rpc horror experience and I have to add mine. because it's WILD.
undercut because its long ish..
i used to roleplay Haruka Tenoh (Sailor Uranus) on another site. if you don't know, Haruka is known to be a bit flirty with the other sailor scouts, especially Usagi. back then, there was a Usagi roleplayer who i'd write with alllll the time. it was a will they/won't they ship. i loved it because it mimicked the anime/manga.
now here's the crazy part. she would address me as Haruka. not that weird, but there came a time when she couldn't separate me from my character. i was smart enough to have a google voice number but she would leave me intimate messages. not sexual just intimate. "our souls will meet tonight" or "I felt you in my dreams". I was 18. not a child but also not not a child. she was in her 30's married with kids.
as a SANE person, i tried to explain i wasn't Haruka and she said she knew but she loved MY Haruka. not her character, SHE did. i started to write with another sailor scout and she got PISSED. and broke up with me?? and I was like????????????????? we aren't dating??
anyway. i still love Haruka and Usagi that was just an INSANE thing that happened to me.

Welcome ようこそ
Here's a little intro for me and this blog as well as a few neat resources.
About me
Howzit and welcome to my little language blog. My name’s Steven and I’m a thirty year old genderqueer trans man furry from South Africa with way too much time on his hands. I’m unemployed and on disability and I’ve found learning a language to be a good way to keep myself sane by staving off the ever crushing beast known as boredom. I’m okay with folks using any pronouns except for she/her. Yes, that even means I’m alright with being called an it or whatever weird neopronouns you can think of. I’m also a pretty open-minded and laid back person and I don’t care what you identify as or what weird things you like as long as you’re not hurting anyone.
Why Japanese
I’m actually interested in a few languages (such as Zulu and sign language) but decided to focus on Japanese first for a few reasons. One being its popularity. This is because that means there are a ton of free resources out there for it and, for someone as broke as me, I’m absolutely loving it. Growing up I was also really obsessed with Japanese video games and I love the idea of being able to play these games in their original language as well as check out some awesome titles that have never and will never get an English translation.
What to expect
Many posts about video games and manga. I will also occasionally post about my everyday life as this is a mix of personal and language blog but with a lean more to the language side of things.
Notable websites
Just a few sites I regularly use that I think other folks might like. Will most likely get updated in the future as I find more that I think need mentioning.
Imabi - Grammar focused site that has content for complete beginners and the advanced.
Tofugu - Has articles on Japanese culture and the language. Make sure to check out their extensive resources section.
Manga-zip - The biggest archive of raw manga to download that I can find. It has every kind of manga you can think of from the popular to obscure. Please note that some of them do have adult content so be wary if that makes you uncomfortable.

Alright, last batch:
The first half of these are "Official" Anime Books. We have the Official Guide Books for Yuru Camp & Bocchi the Rock, modern buys from a Kinokuniya. They are what you would expect: character designs, concept art, episode & story guides, cast & crew interviews, etc. I was very happy with the level of photography they have - Laid Back Camp of course has a ton of pages comparing photographs of the actual camp sites with their anime depictions, while the Bocchi book has a bunch of Shimo-Kitazawa scene spotting. The Bocchi book also has a page laying out all of the art used in its EDs, which I really love for their pastel-chibi style, very kino:
But I will admit how standardized this style of book has become is a little sad - these two unrelated anime have nearly identical layouts, because that is how it works these days. There is a reason I am drawn to the earlier history of anime so much, it was way more unfiltered. A minor note though on otherwise very fun buys.
Finally we have Haruhi-ism: The Art of Noizi Ito. This is a full-on waifu book, just a big collection of splash art of Haruhi being Haruhi and the rest of cast dealing with her bullshit with erotic flecks sprinkled throughout. A real whim buy as I picked it up for a few dollars; the used book market in Japan is truly amazing, I get now how people build such massive collections. What is cute though is that Noizi Ito is the illustrator for the light novels; she didn't work on the anime in any real way, and it shows:
Kyon and Mikuru have the greatest difference in design, but the style difference hits them all in some ways. The anime's visual design is of course far more omnipresent that the light novel illustrations are; it makes this book feel like its from a slightly parallel universe, where Ito was brought on to do the designs for the anime so its entire concept is shifted just a bit to the metaphorical left. The Berenstein Bears branch of Haruhi's multiverse, if you will.
The bottom three are more unique - additions to what I would call the "otaku studies" collection, books by otaku doing media or cultural analysis of anime or otakudom itself. First is A New Millenialist Perspective on the Daughters of Eve, by Mari Kotani, which is a feminist & post-modernist exploration of Evangelion. This whole genre of books...well, here is the back cover, in English for your convenience:
"Here, post-structuralist psychoanalytical theory will enable us to define Angel as the representation of 'abjection' in-" okay buddy, put down the weed and step away from the graduate studies applications, lets go for a walk. Seriously, stuff like this was absolutely in the water in 90's Japan; it was going through a huge wave of psycho-analytic sociology that broke into the mainstream. Back in the day there was a tendency to use this stuff as a way to "understand Eva" - that is backwards, Evangelion is not that deep. But instead, you can see works like these as a byproduct of fandom and the media mix - how Evangelion's brand as the "intellectual's show" was propagated and reinforced over time, and how a certain kind of fan related to it. Eva-as-show does not need these texts, but Eva-as-cultural-event was built from bricks like these. Its not the biggest "Eva philosophy" book but was well-enough known in its day, so it should be fun to read.
Okay, I'll be quick on the others: next is Kurahon, by Hideyuki Kurata - manga author of works like Read or Die. This books is a bunch of autobiographical-style essays about him being a complete hikikomori shut-in otaku collector maniac, complete with 2D Girl supremacy tracts and manifestos for the life of the outsider. Its extremely 2000's in its genre, this kind of ideology would die down as otaku culture transitioned fro- NOT NOW, deep breaths, whew, back on topic. Anyway, this books is insane, this is literally the first in-line image in the book as you go through his text:
Kurata is a lunatic, but he is my kind of lunatic, and this text has a level of raw, intense honesty and cultural reflection in it that really makes it stand out.
Last book is an edition of the print series Eureka! Haruhi Suzumiya Edition, which was a literary & cultural studies joint that collected essays on topics. Wait, one sec...sorry, not 'was', 'is', they are still at it! They have an upcoming collection on Tolkein, cool. Anyway, this of course falls into a similar genre of the Eva book as being quite high-concept, but is from a more diverse set of authors and is a bit more grounded. It has a whole section on Doujin and meta-textual elements in the anime fandom of Haruhi, excited to read that.
Okay okay, that is the Japan books, generally. Though I did realize that I had imported a few things before that I never posted about when they arrived, I might throw those on the stack and do a post about a few...

Girlll question, where do you read manga / watch anime? I’m trying to get into JJK but i’m too broke for Crunchyroll
I watch anywhere that works easiest. If they have the show on Netflix I’ll watch it there and jjk is on netflix now so I recommend that! (Season 1 and movie 0 at least for sure, Idk about season 2)
If you don’t have Netflix, there are weebs much more dedicated to their favorite pirate sites than I am but for manga I usually just search the manga name + read free online or smt and you usually find a few, then it’s just deciding between how safe you feel using their site yk
like I get it, we’ve all been cheap and broke. as long as you keep in mind that these sites aren’t doing charity and they’re making their money somehow— be that by extreme amounts of ads or selling your information or both
#be mindful and don’t just click any random site#reddit forms usually have some kind of discussion on which sites are decent to use#I know that when you’re broke you’re gonna do it anyway whether someone tells you not to#just use your head#honey mail

Rant about those demons I don't shut up about because so many of you probably don't know what I'm talking about, and this is the only topic keeping me alive right now. (Massive spoilers, if you care.)
Obey Me! is a game/anime/manga franchise that began as just one mobile dating sim made by a developing company that made nothing else of value prior. It's based loosely on a bit of everything, most notably (from the simple fact of the characters' names) the Bible.
The first game carries the sub-title One Master to Rule Them All (OMTRTA). The second game carries the sub-title Nightbringer (NB) and is responsible for all those character songs I like so much. The anime is a train wreck available on sites like Crunchyroll with premium, or sites like Bilibili for free with a VPN (I use Hide Me VPN because it's free and I'm broke). The manga is available digitally on Manga Hub, but I'm too lacking of money to be able to read it past chapter one.
The series is full of death and pseudo-incest (the brothers are distantly "related" to the main character and regularly flirt with each other - granted, neither the boys nor their sister are biologically related to any of the others). It also obviously has some religious theming and other topics some people may be uncomfortable with. Also, the MC is a sheep (plushie?). And Luke.
And now the brothers (only characters that matter). (Long.)
Lucifer is the first-born. He's the Avatar of Pride. He's often described as cruel and sadistic, completely reasonably, but he cares about his brothers more than he's willing to admit. His color is blue, and his symbolic animals are the peacock and the bat. He's also the devs' favorite, so he's the only one still getting anything resembling an actual birthday event (fuck you, Solmare).
Mammon is the second-born, the Avatar of Greed, and a fucking masochist. He's the most troublesome of the seven, but also Lucifer's favorite. He's a broke gambling addict with a heart of gold, though he'd never admit the second part. He acts full of himself, but he's actually really insecure. His color is yellow, and his symbolic animals are the crow and the cat.
Leviathan is the third-born, the Avatar of Envy, and also a total masochist (though not as much as his brother). He's depressed and socially anxious, and he's commonly headcanoned as being autistic and trans. He stays in his room when possible, even being granted online classes. He's really into video games, anime, and one specific novel series that happens to have been based on his family. He's had multiple pets named Henry (after the protagonist of said novel series), the most recent being a goldfish. His color is orange, and his symbolic animal is the snake.
Satan is the fourth-born and the Avatar of Wrath. He's a bookworm with anger issues and a cat obsession who's also often viewed as autistic. He's less averse to social interaction than Levi, having several friends that he actually talks to. His room is messy and full of books of every topic (especially cats). He doesn't know how to wear a jacket properly despite being the smart one, but that's fine. He hates lucifer, feeling like people only view him as a clone of the eldest and, tries to be as different from him as possible because of this. He was born from Lucifer's wrath during the fall, causing him to feel like an outcast among his brothers. He hates being overlooked, so he wants to be so smart that people can't ignore him. His color is green, and his symbolic animals are the unicorn and the wolf.
Asmodeus is the fifth-born and the Avatar of Lust. He's the resident mess of queercoding, but we love him anyway (none of the brothers are cishet regardless, so it doesn't matter). He's the source of most of the sexual and pseudo-incestuous shit (basically saying he wants to fuck Lucifer on multiple occasions, for one) due to the simple fact of his sin. He acts like he's better than thou, but he secretly hates himself and can't stand the idea of not being pretty because he feels like people won't like him if he doesn't look good. He's loud and horny and annoying, and I love him. He's often headcanoned as being genderfluid, pansexual, and polyamorous and I love that for him. His color is pink, and his symbolic animals are the scorpion and the rabbit.
Beelzebub is the sixth-born and the Avatar of Gluttony. Him and Belphegor are technically twins (were willed into existence at the same time). He's a buff-ass teddybear with the purest heart of any man ever and he's so fucking precious and I love him and I wanna hug him, is that too much to ask. He's the least problematic of all of them, granted he also acts really fucking gay with his kinda-twin. He works out about as much as he eats because of course he does, how else could he look like that. He's often headcanoned as being trans or having an eating disorder or both (for obvious reasons). His color is red, and his symbolic animal is the fly.
Belphegor is the seventh-born (for purposes of numbers) and the Avatar of Sloth. He's the obligatory yandere character (even though they all are), though that was going to be Levi originally. He fucking kills you in lesson 16, while his brothers only try or threaten to. He hates Lucifer (was locked in the attic by him and is great at holding grudges), humans (blames them for the death of his sister 5,000+ years ago), and Lord Diavolo (friends with Luci and likes humans). He's also commonly headcanoned as trans, and those of us with chronic fatigue are very liable to project onto him with violence. He likes sushi (ew) and loves you and his twin more than anything. He's manipulative and cunning and way too adorable, and he lies to your face to get you to make pacts with his brothers. His color is purple, and his symbolic animals are the cow and the bear.

Hey!!
I am new to the fandom and it’s kind of hard keeping track of every material there is and in which order to consume it, if you don’t mind, can you pls help? 🥲
How many manga episodes are there and where I can read it for free in English? Also how many anime seasons with how many eps each? And where to steam the (again, for free. I am broke sry 😭)
I know this is an extensive ask but I find Wikipedia to be unreliable and feels it’s best to ask a dedicated fan instead. Also I prefer consuming things chronologically and feel like it’s better to ask what is the best way to go about reading/watching
Sorry for the English, it’s my third language and thank you so much if you do end up answering!!!
It’s kind of a lot to ask, so feel free to ignore :)
Hello welcome to the fandom!! And don't worry about your english ever here i am not one to judge ^^
So I already have links compiled to read and watch Black Butler here: Resources You'll find them in the 'Sites for More Content' document on the first page of the drive, and I went through and added a bit more info in that document on how volumes vs chapters work for you and others
As for the storyline itself, I HIGHLY recommend starting with the manga first as it is very consistent and straightforward with the story! Meaning there is no extra info you need to consume to get the full story only fun little extras here and there sometimes, and the manga is considered the actual canon and what you will see most of the fandom referencing and talking about There are currently 31 volumes, 201 chapters and it is still ongoing! Meaning a new chapter releases every month (good to block the kuro spoilers tag if you dont want to see them)
The anime is still fun to watch but it is definitely way more complicated storywise and the reason for that is that the first 2 seasons were made when the manga was still in early chapters so they took notes from the creator of the various storylines and backstories that was planned and kind of created a different storyline with it, so I'll try to give you a concise rundown on what episodes follow the manga and what doesn't
The anime seasons are usually listed as follows: Season 1 - Kuroshitsuji Season 1 OVA - Kuroshitsuji OVA Season 2 - Kuroshitsuji 2 Season 2 OVAs - Kuroshitsuji 2 OVAs/Specials Season 3 - Kuroshitsuji Book of Circus Season 4 - Kuroshitsuji Book of Murder Season 5/Movie - Kuroshitsuji Book of the Atlantic
Season 1 Episodes 1-6: Follows the manga's Red Butler Arc (mostly), chapters 1-13
Season 1 Episodes 7-12: Does not follow manga canon, original anime storylines
Season 1 Episodes 13-15: Follows the manga's Curry Arc (mostly), chapters 15-22
Season 1 Episodes 16-24: Does not follow manga canon, original anime storylines
Season 1 OVA: Does not follow manga canon, original anime storylines
Season 2 episodes 1-12: Does not follow manga canon, all original anime storylines
Season 2 OVAs 1-6: Does not follow manga canon, all orginal anime storylines
Seasons 1 and 2 are considered a separate storyline/alternate universe and will be ignored for all the seasons after it, which is what confuses most people
Season 3 Episodes 1-10: Completely follows manga canon, picks up after the Curry Arc and into the manga's Circus Arc, chapters 24-36
Season 4 OVA's Episodes 1-2: Follows the manga's Murder Mystery Arc, chapters 38-50
Season 5/Movie - Follows the manga's Campania Arc, chapters 51-65
The newest season is expected to follow the manga's Boarding School Arc which is chapters 66-84
I hope that covers everything and is easy to understand, but please feel free to send another ask or a DM if you have any questions! I'm all for helping people understand and get into kuro, it's such a fun storyline and I hope you have a good time with it <3
#free to reblog if anyone else needs this info lol#i know the anime esp can be confusing to understand#black butler#kuroshitsuji#devo speaks

Username moodboard
Tagged by @postmariannizm first of all! I don't know how to make a moodboard... But you remind me about this thing someone made for me in 2016:
And OMG. That summarize me? 😂😂😂 Well, you have my obsession with yuri on ice there, but beside that... Efp is the italian site of fanfiction. Snily... Well, I was (still am) a Snily shipper at the core. My cat, I love cat! Ship, I have to explain this??? 😂😂 N is my second husband after Snape. Peluches... I. Can't. Have. Enough. Peluches. My home is full of them! And the emoji! Omg (yeah Sara is my real name no I don't care about privacy).
But if I want to go to the start of my nickname, Mitsuki... This is it:
Mitsuki from Full Moon Wo Sagashite from Arina Tanemura. The secon manga I purchased, years and years ago. The manga that take my heart at the time.
Also I like that Mitsuki translate in Full Moon (because I am fan of Sailor Moon since I was four) so that became my name everywhere. I love the moon. I feel connected to her.
Soooo if you want to have more images for the moodboard you can start with my husbands:
Severus well, I have to explain? I find this as the source of this fan art:
https://www.deviantart.com/shihohinmakai/favourites/50003840#/d33s56t
And I choose it because of the butterfly, that resonate with one of my story about my OTP (Severus/Lily Luna).
Then you have my second husband:
As I said, N from Pokemon. I play pokemon since when my brother winned the game boy advance sp and pokemon ruby. And with Black and White, with N... I was sold, and lost. Funny ps I have the manga too and I hate N there. In the game he is so precious and lost and scared and his room broke my heart. In the manga he is arrogant, tsk.
I suppose I can have some other fictional husband but I don't remember now so maybe they were not so important =___=
Aaand now I write on AO3 where my nick, MitsukiSirya, is composed by Mitsuki and funnly enough Sirius as in Sirius Black but! It was an inside joke with my best friend at the times, she was my James and I was her Sirius (... It is funny because we don't speak anymore, lol. She shipped Jily, what can I expect after all... 😂😂😂).
My favourite emoji now is also: 😏😏😏😏😏 and it was also: :v :v :v in the past
Peluches well, no need to explain. I have peluches everywhere in my very adult home now. If you want proof I can provide proof.
As far as the ships are concerned... I'm the queen of every ship. Every crack ship. I write everything and I can make everything work. Nothing is forbidden for me 😏
Mmmmh what I forget in this moodboard? I suppose that's enough 😂 after all was for the username and I end talking about everything else 😂
Tag: @giosnape and @quillinhand and everyone who want to do this u.u
