The bear from Cocaine Bear was actually really adorable and I want to hug her.
#movies#horror#comedy#cocaine bear#the thing is though that this is entirely intentional because it goes against the expected visual language associated with bears in media#legitimately adds tonnes to the comedy that the incredibly dangerous threat is literally adorable as heck#but its also like a really interesting inversion of how large animals are generally depicted in media#it is a large point that the movie keeps making that this bear is specifically scary and dangerous because of the cocaine#but the film never goes so far as to depict the bear acting maliciously to anyone but the villain who by then had personally threatened her#basically im saying that Cocaine Bear might unironically be the least fearmongering depiction of a bear i have ever seen in film
