You know how they says babies have to look away from people so they don't get overwhelmed by emotion? Lately some books are making me feel like that. It could be happy or sad or some other mix of emotions, and it doesn't even have to be anything profound. It's just that for whatever reason this arrangement of ideas and images sparks too many emotions at once and I have to look away for a while so I don't explode. Anyway, Elizabeth Goudge is becoming a top offender.
