I like how July the 10th has been chosen as the Celebration Day for not one but TWO different Tokusatsu series that were made in the late 1960's and have the main character killed in the first episode, brought back by alien means and as a result they become the main force fighting against beings that are far beyond normal human punching weights. And they're part of a Themed Team with a load of cool planes!

#Ultraman #Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons #Tokusatsu #Watching the first ep of Ultraman when I already knew sooo much about Captain Scarlet was a trip #even moreso when I realised Ultraman came out earlier!#I do know Ultraman itself took notes from Thunderbirds #but the coincedences and how both series are Peak is amazing~#and yeah I suspect this is why the Jpn CSatM Dub had an.... odd opening given the tone shift lmao
