I wanted to redo last year's pic I did for you, but I had no time to add the others. I did want to practice some poses so that ended up being the thing I did. Also, I apologize if it looks a bit rough, I'm trying something a bit different with my style.

ok people keep talking about the visions on this app and i spent hours trying to figure out why people have specific visions so here's my hot takes for the genshin community.

i somewhat cite them in the post itself but i got all this info from character vision stories / the gemstones that come from world bosses. i'd be happy to explain anything that might be confusing bc i kinda just wrote what i was thinking at the time lol. this doesnt include dendro for obvious reasons and its also under the cut bc its 700 words

hydro- hydro users tend to all have strong moral codes or they have ideals to better society overall. the gemstone mentions how these people believe that their “ideals have no stains,” and how gods cant judge them, “only laws and the Tribunal can.” xingqiu is the perfect example of this, as he seeks fairness / justice for everyone, and other hydro characters such as barbara just want people to live happily in society and not have to worry abt other things.

electro- electro users all stand out of society, which can be for all sorts of reasons. the gemstone mentions how the body “should hold absolute control over this world” as it’s the “noblest and most eminent of all of this world.” it also mentions how it “once promised it’s people a dream: the never-changing eternity.” electro users are all bound by the fact that by standing out from society, they are essentially challenging it and possibly changing ideals for eternity, an ideal that claims to be never-changing. keqing is the prime example of this, as her skepticism of rex lapis leads her to stand out as one of the most prominent figures in liyue and create essential discussion as to whether gods are needed in liyue. characters like razor and fischl are clear outcasts who are also characters who’s appearance / background have essentially changed their “body” / personality for eternity.

pyro- pyro users all have one central belief: “there is something that needs to be done that only i can do.” the gemstone mentions how multiple things have “burnt to cinders for a dream,” and that “if the intention yet remains, achieved [redacted]’s truth he has.” diluc and amber are perfect examples of pyro vision welders. amber’s true intention of becoming an outrider is to find out what happened to her missing grandfather. diluc’s strong ideal stems from the fact that he must be the one to protect mondstadt (which had an interesting development during his story but this is too long already).

cryo- cryo vision users are the hardest to figure out, but every single story has a mention / motif of family. what’s interesting is that the gemstone doesn’t even really mention this, the gemstone story starts with an apology for “also [having] you shoulder the grievances of the world.” it also states how the person should “burn away the old world for” them (them being the cryo archon). this leads to some confusion as to what the cryo archon represents / what cryo visions truly signify. however, the family motifs + the gemstone stories show not only that cryo vision users have had their visions correlate w families, but also somewhat starting anew. kaeya’s story truly demonstrates these ideas, as he ruins his relationship w diluc in order to begin anew. qiqi also has a similar way of showing these ideals, as her final wish of being able to see her family causes her to be literally born anew as a zombie.

geo- geo visions users are all hard workers. the gemstone story talks about how rex lapis became “the guarantor of the people’s hard work, wisdom, and future.” ningguang and noelle are perfect examples of these ideals, as both are known for their hard-working attitudes (ningguang towards collecting wealth or w/e she’s doin; noelle w trying to become a knight of favonius).

anemo- anemo vision users somewhat similar to geo users, as they are also hard working. however, what separates them is that anemo vision users work to a point that it affects their mental and even physical health, and the anemo vision serves as a reminder to live life as leisurely as possible. the gemstone story even states, “take my blessings and live leisurely from this day onward.” xiao and jean fall into this category due to how their attitudes and past lead them to constantly work towards a goal with seemingly no end, and their vision (while not as successfully) serves as a reminder to just try and live life as peacefully as one can.
