What song are you fixated on at the moment? What lyric or verse, and why?

High Enough by K Flay, because it's quite wordy and kinda fast, so when I don't stumble over words or get them wrong, it feels so good. Also, I just really enjoy listening to it.

Do you love gargantuan Youtube video essays, and if so, which is your favorite and why?

Yes and no. I love hearing people talking about things they're passionate about, but I have ADHD so it needs to hold my interest for an extended period of time, which isn't always easy. I quite like Jenny Nicholson's, except for the Star Wars ones.

Tell me about your childhood imaginary friend.

I don't actually remember anything about them, only my mum telling me as an adult that they were twins, one boy and one girl.

What is your go-to way to fall asleep?

Curled up, listening to Adam being his sadistic, chaos gremlin self.

If you had to change your name, what would it be, and why? (In tandem, if you have changed your name, why did you pick that one?)

Growing up, I read a book with a character named Starr and kind of wanted to change my name to that. These days, I can't say I love my name, but can't think of anything else I'd change it to.

What is your favorite of Redacted’s audios, and why?

Maybe Regulus's, especially the newest one (the thought of having somebody in my head and never having any space to myself kinda terrifies me, but I also like the idea, because hell yes, he could absolutely kick those intrusive thoughts to the curb. Also, the parts where he starts revealing his true feelings about stuff via the random "demonic" voice just does something to me).

Although the Adam storyline, especially Sadistic Vampire Kidnaps You (both for the sleep aid factor, and just general I really enjoy listening to it) will probably always be my absolute favourite.

What Redacted boy holds no appeal to you, and why? Like, not the one you hate but the one who you don’t get the hype for. (I won’t judge, I promise.)

Sam. I think he's got so much love from Redacted fans that I'm almost burnt out from it. Also Milo, David and Vincent a little bit, for the same reason. I still listen to and enjoy their audios, but they'll never be my first choice to listen to, and it's very unlikely I'd relisten to them.

Tell me about that one book/movie/tv show you know all the words to.

Idk, I don't rewatch or reread things enough to learn the words to them. Maybe Buffy, because I was hardcore obsessed with it when I was younger, but nowhere near knowing all the words level.

Which Redacted boy are you platonically attracted to? Like- forget dating, which dude do you want to be your best friend?

My first thought was Hux, although I would totally date him, if we were in a universe where he was, y'know, real, and not dating Damian.

Maybe I should've said Asher. As much as I adore him, I don't really think about him in a romantic context.

What’s your guilty pleasure media, and why?

Boyfriend asmr, and I mean traditional asmr, rather than the audio roleplays. I've been very single for a long time, to the point I don't even know if I could actually date, if (by some miracle) some weirdo did find me attractive.

This one took me a second- I was really staring down the Redactedness brackets- but when I saw it, it dawned on me so clearly and so resplendently. Ollie would be so wonderfully perfect for you.

Little things first- I think y’all would have a good time together, because it seems like y’all would like each other and the same things. Like, I can absolutely see Ollie having had a Buffy phase at some point. (He had a crush on either Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Borneanaz, or both. Probably both.) He’d love the same video essays you do and would be more than okay with pausing it or speeding it up if the attention span isn’t spanning.

Big things second- I think Ollie would be so good for you? Your being a Five and what you said about Regulus makes me think the sweet, unempowered type is just what you need. No magic, no tragic backstory, no possibility of having your mind read or wiped- just a darling man who loves you, your cats, and Star Trek.

I love Ollie and the domestic, little ways he shows his love and support- he’s just a wholesome dude, and he’s a sleeper favorite of mine for that reason. This song fits in my head because it reminds me of his sweetness and how far he’s come and matured and how dependable and loving he’d be as a boyfriend and life partner for you.

Runner-Ups:

Aaron was a pretty close runner-up, because I loved the idea of pairing you with someone unempowered and stable. (Ollie, I liked more because of his energy and lighthearted nature; also Aaron also strikes me as a Five, and I don’t typically do same Type pairs.) Things I realised about Hyakkimaru x Mio

Okay, first off, Episode 6 literally has me in the depths of agony and misery coz of Mio's death because this is literally the first time when half of my otp has been killed off so brutally! Like, the minute I watched the Theme song in the first episode, I knew they were gonna fall in love and she would die but I didn't expect it to happen THIS FAST!!

So, while mourning Mio's death and Hyakkimaru's suffering for about two days now, I realised many things and I hate my brain for this:

The first obvious thing was that I felt it was kinda the first time Hyakkimaru just collapsed in someone's arms like he did when he was with Mio. And let's all admit it, Hyakkimaru smiled WAY more than he did in the entire anime when Mio was around. And that is a big deal for me coz when did he last smile in the previous episodes?!

This is another obvious fact but Mio's voice was the only sound Hyakkimaru NEVER hated! Like seriously, dude didn't want to hear his own voice coz it was too loud but her voice? Nope. He will listen to it forever and ever!

One of the initial reasons why Hyakkimaru wanted to fight that wretched monster which ate his leg was because he wanted Mio and all the children to live more comfortably. It didn't matter to him that he was injured, he just left, just like that, to kill the goddamn devil so that she could live there with the others.

Hyakkimaru was the first MAN who didn't touch Mio in a sexual way. This is seriously obvious when she told, "I dont loathe these hands." And honestly, I cried.

When Mio got to know he got his voice back, she was so excited and asked him to say something. But at the same time, she understood why he didn't want to when she realised his own voice was too loud for him. (And he even said that with such a cute pout on his face I can't even-)

And in the end, the first actual word that Hyakkimaru said (which didn't involve him screaming in rage or pain) was her name. Mio. You can see why I love this ship right here.

Lemme just point this out: Hyakkimaru never got to see Mio's face till the end. We all know that he saw only people's spirit because he still doesn't have his sight back. Meaning that he never saw her face, and fell for her because of her beautiful voice and her kind behaviour. Not because he thought she was hot or whatever. And if this itself isn't enough to ship these dorks, idk what is.

This fact was made very obvious in the anime but when Hyakkimaru heard her singing, those red lines in his soul? They disappeared. And if you dont remember this happening, go back to the 6th episode and watch the scene just when the old man left the house. There were those red lines? Flowing lines? Idk what to call it but his soul wasn't completely grey. It had the red thing in it. But the minute she started singing, they just vanished.

And that explains why my boy Hyakkimaru went NUTS when he realised she's dead. And how did he realise that? By hearing her dying voice sing that song for the last time.

And if all this wasn't heartbreaking enough, just the sight of Hyakkimaru crying while hugging her dead body is enough to melt freakin volcanoes.

And that just breaks my heart every single time I think about it. This ship has literally made Dororo one of my most favourite anime but at the same time it has become one of the anime which made me want to kill the writer coz of her death.
