Im so scared for her because they tossed Monica's therapy aside for.... no reason its seems and then they made Sam a side character in his own show.... and fucked up his views on racism around the world halfway through the series after establishing in every episode that he was highly aware of his blackness in comparison to Steve and Buckys whiteness. I fear they're gonna try some gun violence BLM black trauma storyline tht we've seen over and over and over again and completely side line who Riri actually is.

And THEN im scared because this fandom recks of racism and misogynoir and ik theyre gonna immediately hate on Riri especially Tony fans because shes "replacing" him. And if Tony us anywhere in the show all of #those fans will talk about that and completely skip over anything thats happening in the story with Riri. And yall can't say yall dont do it because yall did it with Sam yall bashed the shit out of Zendaya when she was announced as MJ, some of yall was talking shit about Black Panther just a few days ago, yall didnt even bother talking about Lamar, and yall tried to write Sarah off as a stepping stone for Buckys healing???? Its like the only time yall care for black people is when you can claim them as gay and have your white fave fuck them. And even then ik most of yall prefer Stucky anyways but thats for another day. I don't trust yall not to pull some shit with Riri. Black fans are gonna be on here fighting and protecting her and trying to get her a CRUMB of attention that any mediocre white character will get more of but we're gonna do it anyway.

I will be checking and blocking that shit on site as soon as I see some bullshit tho. Best fucking believe that.

I know we don’t have much information about the show yet, but I’m starting to get concerned about Ironheart. There’s been a long standing issue with how Black characters are written in this universe, and even with this new TV platform it’s already off to a bad start given the poor treatment of Monica and now Sam. Heck, even what happened with Lamar. I know people are saying “that’s the point,” but I still think they could have found another way instead of a tired old trope. I hope they remove that gun violence that’s in her comic origin I don’t need or want to see lackluster commentary around it. Plus it always felt like that was there cause she’s from Chicago IMO. Hopefully, the writing team actually wants to write a good story for her which doesn’t seem the case with Sam on his show. As far as “iron fam” members being on her show, I’d be fine with Rhodey being her mentor as long as they do not make them related, or say he knew one of her parents from the Air force. That’s it though no one else and that Ai of Tony is not needed. I really hope Riri doesn’t get treated like a side character on her own show. The track record with Black female characters is either to not be included at all or they are written as props like Monica and Maria were. BP remains an exception where the Black women there were shown the most respect.
