loved ffx but im so happy i played tota cuz it touched on religion + had its protagonist die wayyyyyyyyyyy better than ffx did
#and like ffxs whole thing was religion meanwhile totas is.. slightly less#still very big on religion but there were other stuff too#but thats nojimas worldbuilding for you... its more vibes than coherency#i do rly love how grounded totas views on religion was its like 'itll take time for people to adjust their beliefs'#'theres no way to just throw out a religion'#etc etc etc#and unlike ffx it didnt 'disprove' the religion.. tota has a very strong theme of 'interpretation' which i really like#and our dying protags.... tidus you are my best friend but man. your reaction to all that kinda sucked#as opposed to luke who was.. really going thru it#both game has their strengths and tota did better than 10 in this regard IMO. ❤️#abyss
