i have decided to cite cultural differences for my ??? feelings re: siblingification in fanon and it makes it more understandable why i sometimes find it baffling
#to me being siblings implies seniority while friends implies equality?#in my culture younger siblings arent calling older siblings by their given name .... the disrespect. the scandal. the family beef. gasp#its also funny watching ppl sibling code stuff that does not register the same way to me#you think its sibling coded? unfortunately to me thats how a stupid 9yo would act around their crush 💀#if you're calling a friend a sibling..... to me that feels religious...? like church stuff. as in 'brothers and sisters'....??#funnily enough in my language ppl also call ppl they find attractive with the same word as sister/brother#also very annoying when ppl apply that to friendships between a man and a woman just to 'stop shipping' (LOOKING AT YOU DUNMESHI FANDOM)#watching some dm manga fans miss the point completely re: L+M lol#but thats just my onion. tldr: language and culture differences#ria.txt
