also he fits it over all vibe too, he seems pretty distant at first but once he warms up and garners affection for you he wouldn't leave you alone even if he seems a bit distant.

for thomas I personally think he would be a dog type but not particularly a golden retriever or black lab either, probably a different breed of big dog that's purposely high maintenance and difficult to take care but also fiercly protective and loyal just how he is. probably a great Pyrenees or dogs that's mistakened as a lion or some big animal lmfaoo

he's huge and wild bro!! a bit violent here and there but it was mostly out of survival for him and his guildmates. other than that though i imagine he's a lovable guy like probably really nice to hug and hang around with like a big dog, not to mention he sort of has the attitude of one if you squint.

actually not really a rooster only i had some other ideas or for other animals but none of them were mammals and mostly birds soo, he would be a bird. zhigang's personality is PROBABLY extroverted and a bit loud but it's fine because its liu zhigang

he seems to be a morning person to me, being a martial artist enthusiast and all. it's part of his routine to wake up early and drag any unfortunate person to his morning exercise and stretches that is soul crushing from how painful it is. also don't even try to sleep through his first call out to you for the morning exercise, he will become your personal rooster so just you can accompany him.

cha hae-in.... i honestly think she's a white cat just to contrast jinwoo but she's more of an angel to be with in general or I'm just biased to girls... anyway she seems more aloof and quiet compared to an orange cat or any dog breed except for a few probably but to me she's a cat from just how she strut in those panels lmfaoo

she seems to be the type to just space out or listen to you quietly before giving her own advice. hae-in is also elegant like a white cat bro have you seen her move or act? she's so poise and pretty especially when fighting with a sword.

but also she acts like a cat with her quiet... judging eyes or maybe out of the blue truthful words like cats that literally just swats you for no reason, just like how hae-in is with her advice that sometimes seem too blunt at times. okay last one i talked about this one with some people and I'm sure about jinchul being a dog type but i have some thoughts on what type he would be or what breed. now that I've thought more about it, shiba inu would fit him ya know? intelligent dogs that's known for saving it's owners from danger and calamities just how jinchul save hunters and try to protect them and alsoo sort of has a resemblance to them lmfao

but he also fits being a border collie! that dog breed is known for herding sheep and protecting stuff! the breed is alert, loyal, and intelligent soo yeah i can also see jinchul being this type of dog too lmfaoo but probably an older one too just seeing how low-key tired he is judging from in game dialogue you can see whenever you meet him inside of the lobby

i am in a pretty major slump but also fixated on fallout rn im trying to get a good ttw mod list set up and being very like deliberate about it lol also the health stuff is stressful and that plus work plus money plus upcoming travel plus all the other shit stressing me out plus short overcast days and im feeling depressed and so out of it

i think one thing i've noticed that baffles me is how much american individualism and bootstraps culture infects this fandom despite it being so wide reaching across the world. the elitism and lack of accessibility and "fuck you i got mine"

all of that on top of the typical redditor personalities, 4chan pretentiousness, weaponization of social justice concepts, and crab in a bucket-ing

i could write an entire masters thesis dissecting this fandom and what a prime example of how the nature of the internet, the speed of it, the nature of social media, and other computer mediated communication factors can turn people into their worst and best selves. can make people live out fantasies not of identity but of power.

thats what it is. the fandom isnt for fun and its not about exploring identity its about exploring power and influence and how much you can push the envelope, how much you can push people.

weenie hut juniors that would scurry away from me if i so much as looked in their direction irl have to find meaning, fulfillment, and agency by being bullies, by feeling powerful and influential because they can garner love and adoration they dont get in their home life.

its easy to be an asshole online because it feels safe because the screen doesnt force you to confront with the reality. you cant see the other person, you dont often hear their voice, there is no connection to them being a real person. so its easy to explore your most authoritarian and morally bereft impulses and personality traits.

its harder, but more fulfilling to not succumb to that.

the internet is a great tool to explore identity. sherry turkel identified it as such in her early works where she discusses how people used multi-user dungeons to explore their gender and sexuality via roleplaying. you can research and find new subcultures, connect with people so different from you all across the world, you can gain perspective and worldliness by opening up to listening to new experiences, to trying new things, connecting with others.

the existence of the internet is neutral. it is a tool like anything else. its how someone uses it that makes it good or evil.

and how a lot of fucking people in this fandom use the internet makes me think we should breed sharks with strong enough teeth to chew through the undersea cables

13- What is something your character would refuse to wear? this is a good annie question. shes a represses as fuck butch lesbo so she WILL NOT wear any clothes that make her look more masculine but she also feels she is a failure of a woman for this so she doesnt wear anything feminine either because she doesnt feel like shes "allowed" and she also feels like a freak when she does dress feminine. most neutral ugly big hoodie big pants outfits u have seen in your life she owns all of them

14- Is there a style your character is afraid they can’t pull off? umm i guess for annie i just answered that but tbh im not sure... im not good with like fashion styles and stuff like that so i dont draw them in anything fancy so i dont associate a lot of them with like particular fashion styles lol.

15- Would your character wear something someone else picked out for them? i think it depends who and what... for example claire would wear mostly whatever as long as he liked it but he would be much more tolerant of different stuff than he usually wears if it was amber picking out his clothes than someone he doesnt know as well

I have a question about reading through thr- I’ve looked through klaudia’s reading guide (very very robust so thank you for that) and a different guide, and the other guide is telling me to start with phase 2 because it takes place before phase 1- now that phase 2 is complete, is that a better reading order than just going through 1-2-3?

and are the comics super necessary? I’m not a big comic reader but I have access to the first run of thr comics… just not the rest. trying to egg my local library into buying more but I don’t think they’re keen on it haha

hey bestie! this is klaudia. whatever guide tells you to read phase 2 first is a weenie. it was written to be consumed this way (1, 2, 3) with 2 as the prequel just like the movies for a reason! i’m reading phase 3 rn and i promise it makes it hit better.

also you can sort of get by without the comics but a LOT will be lost. getting the trade paperbacks from your library (ebook or otherwise) is easiest but worst case scenario using comixology (which sadly was assumed into the kindle app) may have to be your best bet. i think you can buy issues individually from the marvel and dark horse websites individually too but they kinda suck so it depends. i HATE supporting amazon especially in the holiday season but im sure there will be some deals as well for digital comics/ebooks in the kindle app. i hope that helps!! lmk if it gets confusing

Now that she’s pregnant, writers’ve painted themselves into a corner, there’s literally no satisfying solution to this situation. Anything they come up with either makes the whole storyline useless (like Connor and his wife leaving, it just proves Buck’s actions have zero consequences even when it’s a literal baby) or too cruel, especially just for the sake of Buck’s character development (miscarriage and Buck, of course, blaming himself for it). Connor and wife dying and thus making Buck ‘a real father’ is probably the worst one because would turn the show into a 100% soap opera. This shit stunk from the very beginning, they should’ve thrown it away after one episode and now it’s all dried up and they have no idea how to clean it without it leaving a stench behind and they probably haven’t even realised it yet.

i don't think i'd say there's no satisfying solutions!! as a warning i am really not the most verbose person and i'm sure so many people will be able to word this much better and more succinctly than i can, but i definitely wouldn't say that this plotline is in the can just yet. from last episode we've seen how invested buck is--calling himself a father, buying a weeny lafd baby jumper (which made me CRY btw!!)--so obviously he has not internalised hen's "donor not dad" comment, in fact it's bounced right off his very handsome face. i think there are a few options of what's gonna happen re: baby

connor and kameron do move away/take the baby with them (i think this is super plausible). i wouldn't say that would be undoing the plotline/rendering it useless at all because they'll be taking buck's child with them!!! buck physically will Not be able to be a father if that happens, and he'll have to come to terms/start properly dealing with the intrinsic deep desire to be loved that's been present since s1 that he'll search for a chance for a family ANYWHERE, even if that means donating his sperm to a baby that for all his purposes won't be his.

there's a miscarriage/stillbirth/complications in any way that result in them losing the baby (i saw someone speculate the baby might be born with luekemia which 😵‍💫😵‍💫 i doubt it only bc i genuinely don't see a baby being around for very long, but think of the IMPACTTT). sure, this would probably be very cruel, but it would add to this notion of buck feeling as though he's expendable/"spare"/faulty parts. i think it was the lovely nie @gayhoediaz that mentioned she doesn't see it being a miscarriage but a stillbirth, because then buck will feel as though he is somewhat responsible for it, which i can very very much see, which could then have ramifications for buck

connor and kameron dying. yeah tbh i don't really see this either as delicious as it would be (shoutout molly buckley verse i love you!!!!!!!!!!) only because it would be saddling buck with a child for the rest of the series which is a Very Big long-term commitment that i doubt they'll go for.

then there’s ofc them having the baby and buck being a part of its life which i also kinda doubt will happen because it feels like rewarding buck for decisions he ultimately made from an unhealthy place

i still have faith/high expectations in the writers for how this plotline is going to carry out!! we still have a whole second half of the season so until s6 has aired in its entirety im reserving my judgment. i'm sorry you feel this way though!

okay you (you my partner i am speaking to you rn sushi) would be a venipede. reason being i associated you with scolipede the longest, poison is a very youcore secondary typing, venipede feels like a 'starterish' pokemon (like how the mystery dungeon games have some options that arent starters sometimes, like shinx, vulpix, skitty, riolu, etc). also because i think itd be the cutest in art. id be a litwick I GUESSSS because its my fave forever. this is under the assumption we never evolve btw i never evolve my mystery dungeon duo. you'd wear your little exploration scarf as a bow like those stupid isopod pictures because venipede looks like a fucking thumb and i dont think anyone would be able to wrap a scarf normally around that thang. also youd like that wouldnt you. you'd be the designated 'partner' pokemon in the way that pmd partners all have adhd and also were always pokemon, born in the pokemon world etc. id take the protagonist role being a former human and whatever but i feel like this would be a pmd plotline where the the partner is the more lore-relevant one (like psmd). like i am just some random human dude who came here on Accident you're the one who has insane plot twists and the audience would cry over. our pmd au would have somehow even More gay tension than the canon ones do your little guy would have the most obvious crush on mine ever. i know humans in the pmd world is a divisive topic and i recently kind of realized humans are like straight up a thing in the pmd world; not a myth or a legend or extinct or anything like that but just straight up existing in the same world. assumedly with trainer culture like the main series games but it's really hard to tell considering nobody in the pmd series Ever mentions that kind of stuff which is probably why it took me until explorers to realize humans DO live in the same world. so because this is an au and i wanna have fun fuck you it takes place in a 'humans have been talked about but are not There, aka extinct/a myth/undiscovered' and my litwick guy specifically is from our earth, aka where the pokemon series is fiction. so with how much of a nerd about it i am they'd try and get a leg up in the world with all their knowledge but fail miserably because theory cant be equated to hands on practice or w/e and your little venipede guy would have to help. except for the first bit at least they'd have some kind of gay dynamic where my little rb-litwick would think hes sooo much better than your bug guy because he came from a world where bug types sucked in a fictional meta. gay little remarks like 'i could fry you right there where you stand bug boy' the inherent homoeroticism of a type advantage etc etc. i don't know what their inevitable rescue/expedition team name would be but considering your naming conventions and the fact I've named my teams: Team Hungry (dx) Team Bad Guys (explorers) Team Losers (gates) and Team gay gang (super) <- that replay was a few years ago and if i had to choose a team name for that game now itd probably be team wimp or weenie or whatever the schoolyard bullies call the prota/partner duo to fit in with the naming conventions of my other games' playthroughs) it probably wouldnt be too serious. theyd do the pmd thing where they move in together instantly at the start of the game. at the halfway point they'd start sleeping in the same bed because of one of their nightmares or whatever from whatever big bad is tormenting them in the plot. if it was a pmd game and had gameplay style like explorers instead of 'sentry duty' occasionally they'd have essentially date nights where you could get character development that would twist the knife further when one of them has to leave at the end of the game. i will add more when i think of more. god this post is so hard to read. god im gay. fuck. fuck. also welcome to my new tag 'funny silly gay faggot au' for specifically my gay lorebuilding shit

i am getting over my Triple A Bad, HD Graphics Soulless, Future Of Games Doomed stance because i have realized that people who bring up that stance all the time with little to no provocation are really fucking annoying. its like this weirdly smug attitude of ooo well new game looks good but is it good???!!? or like "newfangled engine is too resource intensive as opposed to old game which is reliable" and in that case itd be unfair of me to harsh on that too much because it depends on your system and good modern pc parts are not cheap but also idk can you just be honest about it instead of acting like a nostalgia poisoned tradbrain. and people will bring up examples of big companies putting out superficially polished but shit quality cashgrabs that dont stray far from market trends for fear of number not going up enough but the thing is like all of them have sucked for years i really think it is generally not a matter of them getting worse i think ea and ubisoft and bethesda etc etc have in fact always put out polished market trend-riddled turds like with some outliers depending on who you ask of course but i mean overall im pretty sure specific triple a companies suck currently because thats what theyve always done. isnt that what you want i thought you hated change you weenie.

tl;dr: i read a thread on a modding site i frequent where a longtime member of the community was saying goodbye and giving people permission to do whatever with the work he'd posted over the years (which is a significant amount of shit like i need to stress this this guy has done a fucking lot) and the way like half the people in it got hung up on a slightly cheeky remark he made about feeling like moving on to newer things after playing a more recently released game and going uhhblhngn no Old Thing Better Actually 😤 without even saying goodbye back or thanking him for being so generous pissed me off. fucking boomers/gen Xers have no manners

Fallout 76 was a bad game, and because of that nobody played it. Which is good, because making shitty games like that shouldn't be rewarded, but also means people missed out on some absolutely ghoulish details about the world and story. Yall remember that post about how it's fucked up Bethesda took a game series about being anti-nuke and made atoms into a currency? Well there's a ton of shit like that in 76. Off the top of my head:

- Scrip is another special currency the game uses. Cute right?

- Blair Mountain is this massive mining rig that you can fight other players over and use to harvest resources. Which sure is a choice

- That one creature that Native Americans have been begging for literally years for non-natives to stop using? You see them all the time. They are essentially the boss forms of ghouls. They even updated the game to ad a bigger, scarier version! Isn't that cool! Side note: there are 0 Native American characters or locations in the game.

Those are just the big three examples that come to mind right now but yeah. Fallout 76 is a bad game, and that distracted people from the horrible things Bethesda did with its map and lore.

My hardcover copy of Gideon the Ninth came today and I

A) freaked out about how beautiful the cover is

B) kept saying "gay rights" and "goth rights" interchangeably, while gently stroking the cover

C) flipped to a random part near the end if you know what I mean and literally started crying because it was too much

D) read from the beginning and had to stop when I got to the "I gave her my whole life" bit because it was also too much. Cried again

E) began shit-talking Tasmyn Muir in an attempt to stop myself from crying (again)

I haven't picked it back up yet. @tazmuir I just want to talk fight
