Really kinda bullshit that you need to play a specific origin in order to see an entirely different yet deeply vital part of Astarion's character and romance.

Like I don't wanna play the edgelord edition of BG3 just to see that Astarion is able to be selfless and caring toward his partner.

Uuuuugh.

#never playing durge cuz it just puts me off #and i like being in control over all of my OC's backstory #so it sucks that regular tav just ends up as astarion's keeper and caretaker instead of his equal #like he barely cares abt them in comparison to durge it seems?#bleh #bg3 #unfortunately hiraeth's backstory is like way cooler and interesting than durge so like ... i can't let it go :(#also i remember someone tagging one of my text posts as durge x astarion cuz i had something abt them mirroring each other #and like ... no i did that on my own actually. they're not a durge i just made up the mirroring in my head cuz i'm cool and imaginative #also if you play durge i'm not calling YOU an edgelord #but that the durge story is deeply edgy in a sort of uninteresting way to me
