#im just gonna keep complaining#so okay. in any media like fanfic or IF like its not the level of writing skill that's the problem#there's always gonna be better or worse ones#its that the priorities are getting skewed especially here on tumblr dot com#and also due to booktok#you ever read a book popular on tiktok and its like the writing is just vibes. just a moodboard#its like that for IF nowadays.......#by all means make pinterest boards and enjoy the tropes like girl who doesnt!! its fun#but that stuff is just icing on the cake or just preliminary to figuring out the world#and tone of the story#IFs be having the most beautiful gorgeous tumblrs and aesthetics but the writing Isnt There#and the writing is tje important part#anyway pls don't take this as hate or me dragging anyone#i just notice it bc with COG and HG#where these kinds of IFs were popularized#like idk it used to be real plain looking. real bare bones.#dashingdon doesnt let u customize shit#so i wasnt as catfished by meh writing LOL
