@vinelark tagged me in this right as i was building a blorbo playlist for myself so i am ready to go

💿 ceremonials florence + the machine — behind kiss with a fist this is the og florence for me, the album that i truly fell in love with and played on repeat on my silly little ipod nano in 2012. also the album with most florence songs applied to concept and writing playlists over time

💿 ok computer radiohead — my og sadboy depression album. then i grew up and started listening to the lyrics beyond projecting and started to hear the album concept. i still queue it up when i feel sad tho

💿 shallow bed dry the river — this one i stumbled across when a friend made me a mix CD with dry the river and now it holds a special place in my heart, lots of nostalgia and sort of a sense of deconstructing religion in a really beautiful and cathartic way

💿 wiped out! the neighbourhood — saw them live in 2018 and it fucking rocked. the build up to rip 2 my youth is so good

💿 gris (video game soundtrack) the berlinist — gris is a hugely important game to me for many reasons but the soundtrack has been there for me when i couldn’t queue up the game and play. i never listen to it shuffled, it’s a linear experience just like the game and it’s powerful

also had a big long discussion with @megafaunatic about Albums in general and how i really do still kind of skip in most albums bc i’m attached to certain favorite songs and how my real no-skip albums are the playlists i curate for myself from all of those bangers but since those are less accessible, these will do
