3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

On AO3 I have fics for 13 fandoms, with lost or unpublished fics it would be 15 at minimum. I wrote for The Witcher (books and games), Sherlock, Good Omens, The Unusuals, Broadchurch, TMFU, Doctor Who, House MD, Legend of the Seeker, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior as crossover with Constantine (TV), Blue Water High, and The Avengers (also only as a crossover with Sherlock :) ) (you can see my short-lasting fixations with Craig Horner and Matt Ryan here - their shows were graced with one or two short fics).

4. Top Five by Kudos?

The Shift, where I whump Alec Hardy from Broadchurch. I really should put that fic through Grammarly at least, but since people seem to enjoy it anyway... I’m not too proud of it plot-wise, but the feels were nice to write.

Bits from the Path - my first attempt at writing The Witcher in English. It went well 😁, although I can only imagine what Dor went through betaing it. ;)

The runner - Broadchurch, slice of life, kinda prelude to The shift.

Appearances - the fact that I wrote this thing was shocking to me, because yeah, I had some crossovers in my resume, which was weird for someone who wrote mostly canon-compliant, but a modern!AU??? But I had fun throwing in so many references and building the world with guns, cell phones, monsters and magic :)

Walls crumbling - the aforementioned crossover for Matt Ryan shows. Missing scenes from “Constantine” with John meeting his long lost twin brother Mick thrown in-between ;)

5. Do you respond to comments, why/why not?

Usually I do, because I know the feeling when the author replies to a comment I left. :)

6. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

I usually finish with a happy ending, so I don’t think there are any :) Maybe one whumptober one-shot with an open ending.

7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you've written?

Sometimes. I don’t know if they’re crazy, I know I was probably the first person who wrote The Witcher/Doctor Who crossover, but with Ciri’s space travelling powers that seemed logical. :)

8. Have you received hate on a fic?

Thankfully not.

9. Do you write smut?

Not yet. I plan to. It will be interesting considering I suspect I’m ace, I have limited experience in sex in general, no experience in gay sex and my style is very straightforward ;)

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don’t think so, but also I don’t check.

11. Ever had a fic translated?

I translated some of my own one-shots for The Witcher :) (okay, Google Translate and Dor did most of the work tbh)

12. Ever co-written a fic before?

Nope. I stay away from any commitment around fics, I write at my own pace and whatever my plot bunny gives me at the time, with collaboration I’d probably have to adjust to someone else and I know it wouldn’t end well.

13. All time favorite ship?

I’m not much of a shipper tbh. It’s not a mountain I’d die on. I treat any pairings I read or write for very lightly :)

14. What's a WIP you want to finish, but don't think you ever will?

A very long time ago I wrote a fic in Polish for “M:I - Ghost protocol”, (Ethan in trouble, Brandt revealing a past identity and being a badass in Hong Kong), I just never edited it. I remember I have this fic, I’m too scared to read it again.

15. What are your writing strengths?

The ability to throw a reference to the source material I think? ;) Action scenes, I hope.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Descriptions, oh my goodness.

17. What are your thoughts of writing dialogue in other languages?

If I don’t speak the language, it’s risky. Always. In one fic I used some swearwords in Welsh and I have no idea if the page I used as a source was in any way reliable.

That’s one way of interpreting this question. I remember when I switched to English writing The Witcher, I worried the characters wouldn’t sound right, because they have a different speech pattern in Polish. I knew that Zoltan was kinda Scottish and Geralt often omitted the pronouns and that’s all.

        ♡        loretta rose dickens was born the youngest of six children in the smokey mountains of east tennessee. to say she was the apple of her parents’ eyes would have been an understatement. despite the fact that her father’s career as a coal miner didn’t provide them with the highest income, they made the best of the life they had, and her parents always did whatever they could to give the children the whole world.         ♡        lo first discovered her love for music in church. from the moment she was able, she sang along to every song from her seat in the worn down pews. until she was old enough to join the choir, then everyone was singing along with her. she was a natural, and was doted on by all the other members for her talents.          ♡        while her passion for music never waned, it never occurred to lo that it could be a career. but soon enough her parents and their friends were encouraging her to perform more publicly than just the church. by the age of eleven, lo was featured on a number of local tv programs and radio shows, and by twelve she and her mother were signing contracts to record her first few singles. suddenly, she was being played on country music radio stations across the country. it was all uphill from there; suddenly she was a teenager and going a few hours away to nashville once a week to record music while she finished school. after graduating, she moved to nashville full time, and lived there for a couple of years before bigger opportunities had her packing up and taking the cross-country trip to los angeles.          ♡        since her move to la, lo has been experimenting with her music a bit outside of the country bubble. these days, most of her tunes have more pop-sounding melodies, but she never forgets to add her own southern twist. her aesthetic and music mixes elements of classic country with the gaudy, over-the-top elements that characterize the era. A pause and then,

“It's not real, is it?”

He stands up and walks to the door to meet his manager without answering the question.

You sit there, tears overflowing onto your cheeks.

You have never looked more beautiful to him. He wants to wipe away the tears and kiss the tear tracks, all the way up to your lips. However, there are other important matters to attend to.

Like the disappointed looks your managers are aiming at you both.

“Why are you harassing her over some netizen comments?” His voice is cold.

“You know it's not like that,” his manager hastily assures him, “It'd be fine if it's just random comments. But somebody's been leaking pics of both of you. It looks bad.”

Of course it did. He leaked them himself.

The crying by his side gets louder.

“This is such a bad time to be in a scandal,” your manager sighs,”Couldn't you have been a little more careful?”

“We aren't dating!” You exclaim, “Please explain to them,” you beseech him and he sighs.

“We aren't dating,” he repeats and both the managers give you incredulous looks.

“You're kissing her forehead here,” he points it out at you, and you turn crimson.

“We're friends.” Your denial irritates him to no extent, but it doesn't matter. At least, not now.

“You can release a statement saying as such. That we're really close or something.”

Your manager sighs. “So much trouble over nothing. Nobody will believe this we're just friends excuse. At this point I wish you were dating. It'd be easier to explain.”

“We'll discuss it with the CEO. You'll probably be called soon as well.”

He ducks his head in apology even though he can't stop the smile stretching his lips.

It blows over after a while, like everything always does in the entertainment industry.

It does have added unwanted effect of making your popularity skyrocket.

You're casted on more shows, more collaborations. Your talent is finally recognized, as countless people comb through your fancams to find flaws and instead find an honestly endearing girl.

The nation is smitten.

“Please wait a minute,” your entire face is crimson and he likes it. A lot.

You hand over the USB to him, hesitating. He knows you like him. He knows you want him to spend a little longer at your place. He knows and yet he waits for you to speak.

“Uh- do you want to eat or drink something?”

Perfect. He smiles politely at you, nodding as you disappear into the kitchen.

It's time.

“Do you want to see him?”

“Am I allowed to?” You pout, “They probably won't let him in because it'd cause a bigger issue.”

“Leave that to your unnie,” she grins at you, and you grin back, feeling lucky to be so loved.

“Hi,” he waves at you, a bit awkward, and so very handsome that you blush.

“Hi,” you smile back, feeling like a 14 year old once again.

“Is that… Are you feeling okay?”

“I am,” you smile, “I'm glad I hadn't broken my neck. The doctor said it's a very real possibility.”

He looks alarmed.

“It didn't happen!” You wave your arms at him, laughing, “I'm fine now.”

“But you would have...died.” The last word is a quiet whisper.

You shrug, trying to make light of it despite your fingers trembling against your sheets. “It didn't happen so, don't worry about it.”

He looks at your a moment, and pulls you into a sudden embrace.

“I couldn't bear to lose you.”

Your heart pitter-patters in your chest. He's so close to you, you can feel his warm breath washing across your neck, his large hands that grasp your waist, the lingering scent of last night's cologne mixed with something more him.

“I really wouldn't survive losing you,” he whispers, and your head spins with the implications of his words.

He pulls back, his eyes bright with intensity. “I love you.”
