wow, who would've believed that writing a story with four POV characters would be complicated............
#and yeah they're all necessary#the problem is that it's very hard to balance their parts#like they all need to be introduced and the conflict and tension needs to be shown but I feel like it'll get really repetitive to just do#the exact same plot points and developments for them all at the same time#like kudos to story structure but how do I do that with multiple people who all need/have an arc but it's all different but also extremely#related bc they're so close#it's not like they're in different parts of the world (well they are but not like that) and have completely separate storylines#it is literally just one story but with four of them#twin stars#I'm doing what I do best and going back and editing when I've not actually finished the story oops#but tbf it's cause I need to understand the flow of the story#my posts

What did you think about part 3’s writing quiality? Story arc? Character development?
Oh. Um... I suppose it depends on the character and story/plot point you mean. It might be because I went in with such drastically low expectations, but overall - I (surprisingly) liked part 3. Did too much happen at once? Maybe, but did that also serve to provide some really great character moments? Yeah.
Ex. The Pagans cursing Hilda, resulting in Zelda shooting her, and then resurrecting her... imo, one of the most powerful moments in the show thus far.
The writing itself has always been atrocious, but character development depends largely on which character. lol
Zelda? Loved her development, tbh - it’s been gradual and not without some regressing (but not TOO much), which, to me, is believeable for her and I’m excited for the potential.
Hilda? Also amazing. Stood up for herself, while still being self-aware & recognizing where she could be more helpful.
Prudence? Learning that there is more value in relationships than there is solitary power and fiercely protecting that from those who would seek to ruin it. FUCK IT UP, PRUDENCE.
Ambrose? Kinda lateral growth for him, tbh, but I think his time will come eventually.
Sabrina? Holy fucking shit, what an absolute hot ass sticky mess.
Lilith? Homegirl had a lot thrown at her, but I do think she still had some growth. What I liked seeing, for example, was her support of Sabrina during the competition with Caliban. Tbf, she didn’t have much choice, but she also could have been completely resentful and cold the entire time. Instead, she displayed what appeared to be genuine concern for Sabrina at times and I enjoyed seeing that bond with each other grow. And I think that will lend itself well to her storyline as a mother (though that’s a whole other dumpster fire I don’t have the mental capacity for right now lol).
Faustus? Absolutely zero development, he is basically a caricature of an evil blob atm, programmed to spit out ridiculous vitriol and cause unnecessary (as it stands right now) conflict. But, as said many times, I would LOVE to learn more. Villains without a clear motivation are boring and sad. Give me a backstory and he’ll still be a villain, but OH MY GOD it’ll be so much more satisfying to know why he’s such an ass. Like ffs, HELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS DUMB MF’ER, RAS, I NEED IT.
Nick and the mortals? *shrug* kinda don’t care enough to notice really... :/
As far as story arc... well, there hasn’t been a chance for a particular story TO have an arc, imo. It’s all been going at 100 mph with very little ebbs and flows, so... um... hoping for more reflection and revisiting in part 4 for sure.
