#but stone ocean really shows how jotaros distant attitude covered up an immense capacity for all emotion

Text
something I like about stone ocean is that yes, you can condense jolynes personal arc into "holy fucking daddy issues, batman" but the story takes it 100% seriously. the narrative doesn't mock jolyne for being hung up on her lonely childhood, even if calling it trivial would be justified, considering the grand scheme of the franchise and the various tragic backstories within. Both her anger at jotaro and her desire to save him in hopes they can reconnect is seen as noble and virtuous.
