one thing about rottmnt fandom is that they will manufacture parental relationships for the turtles with characters who dont really give a shit if they live or die, but will ignore baron draxum entirely.... even though he also has this antagonistic relationship with the turtles WHILE canonically accepting them as his sons. and he's even gay for splinter. literally what else do you WANT.

#ive been reading a bunch of rottmnt fic (rly seems like it took off after the movie) and its such a weird trend #to see ppl going like ohh hueso sees leo as a nephew! big mama trains the turtles as her heirs!#girl! they are charmed but unamused by these teenagers they are not family lmaooo #but somehow splinter (who canonically is a loving and increasingly demonstrative dad) and draxum (who is.... getting there)#just dont rly get a mention in like a LOT of fic. wild!!!#anyway i just rewatched the hidden city eps good god this show is fun holy shit #tmnt
