(okay i might be breaking my own rules here because words that never reached you definitely isn't a cutscene theme, but chances are you'll hear it twice in cutscenes before you ever hear in battle so....)

Sylvalum is basically the best area in XCX, and the soundtrack is no exception. It's hollow, yet has enough structure to entice you to listen more. And the night version makes it more intense, unlike the other regions' OSTs.

the title alone is so insanely good, it should win for just the title! (the song is a banger too ig...)

#im sory xenoblade x....#but somebody had to post propaganda for WTNRY #its such a heartbreaking theme #its as intense as it should be for a major boss theme #but consistently low energy because this isn't a fight you should be happy about #i think it's very notable that there isn't a single motif present in this song #despite how much xc3 loves its leitmotifs (just look at noah and n)#because leitmotifs represent ideas - words - and this is the song that plays when words have failed #and the only path left is for one of you to kill the other
