Okay because, i was thinking of the cello again, right? Because i'm fucking obsessed with that cello, since to me is not only what really makes this movie an objectum one but also what makes it so tragic bc it really hammers home how easily Madeline could've loved Edgar, but that's besides the point. What i wanted to talk about is its death, bc it always made me upset how Miles is like "ah dw its just a cello :)" but thinking of it and thinking of the ending... I feel there's a bit more to it. A parallel between Edgar and Madeline. An ironic one at that, one, since Edgar was the object tied to a human and Madeline the human tied to an object. But even if tragic, Miles was right about her. She didn't need that cello to be a good player. She already had it in her. Just like Edgar didn't need Moles to be happy, or to feel love. It's sad, yes, but it's a sad movie and like they say... tears mean things will change.
