a large part of staying a beloved figure is just knowing not to run your mouth. lene kaaberbøl wrote some pretty transphobic stuff into the fantasy series she wrote before the one she became famous for and while i don't think she's a terf i think she was just writing in the 90s, it is truly a blessing to have no idea whatsoever. you can think whatever you want in your heart of hearts if you just shut the fuck up about it on social media/in the press

#again i think it was just the 90s and she'd watched silence of the lambs or smth #+ was trying to express some gender/feminism stuff and did so in a clumsy way #(which yeah means she would have been an easy recruitment target for terfs)#(but i don't think she's online enough for that)#it's been over 5 years since her last book idk what she's doing lately #but she's not being a transphobic nuisance so i wish her the best lol #anyway there's no transphobia in the shamer chronicles they are truly just good feminist kid's fantasy #they're heteronormative but they were also written in like the first half of the 00s so
