#to finish up my thoughts:#mals tactic is arguably the most effective on strangers but the least effective on people who interact with her often#her manipulation is not particularly subtle#but she has that fairy circle-talking ability. she can rules loophole herself into getting out of things.#jays tactic is REALLY effective if the person likes him#if they dont. less effective#evie is so erratic its hard to say anything definitive about it#but i think like people said she gets sent to the counselor instead of detention a lot#vs. carlos who not only rarely gets into trouble. but has an absolutely glowing reputation to go with that#when auradon people want to wax poetic about their charity case isle children who were really good people inside the whole time#they point to carlos#he likes DOGS. he wants to be a VET. hes oh so smart~ hes a little standoffish sometimes but can you see how gentle and kind he is?#meanwhile carlos is sitting somewhere with his autism headphones thinking very very very very very hard about#the best way to light things on fire and pretend its science so the school will keep funding it
