It'll be too much primary colors in one character? Eyes would be too distracting? If we imagine tfone model with the colors we see in the movie and just change the eyes... I don't think they fit too well mh

And about eye color, it probably indicates characters worldview. Like in dnd. It's probably more like a part of design to make it more readable for viewers, but we also have some bots with purple eyes. And these guys are being somewhat chaotic evil.

So I know D-16’s yellow eyes and black helmet were supposed to be a reference to Megatron’s original design in the comics and beta designs for the g1 cartoon

But like, Optimus had yellow eyes originally too, in the comics and I think some concepts, and in his toy as well. So why can’t Orion get yellow eyes too?

#well okay I think part of it comes from D’s eyes changing color being symbolic of his fall #especially with it being gradual as it shifted to orange first before red #so not only do you have to explain why Orion’s eyes are changing from yellow to blue #but those two are much further on the color wheel than yellow and red #so the transition would be way more apparent and he’d probably spend a portion of the movie with green eyes #and honestly I don’t know how that’d look on him #but it’d be far more distracting than D’s orange eyes #but regardless of all that I kind of wish Optimus’ original yellow eyes were utilized more in some way #if the Decepticons can have their eyes change from blue or yellow to red then why can’t he have his eyes change to blue?#idk I saw someone with an Optimus design that gave Orion yellow eyes and it made me think of this #it would be neat they should do it #I think a good portion of his original toys had yellow eyes too #transformers #optimus prime #Orion pax #d 16 #Megatron
