OMG I *finally* cleaned my following list up because my dashboard was a hot mess. I couldn't find any of the stories and simblrs love anymore and wasn't up-to-date on pretty much anything. Plus, I needed to tell myself that I could like and even reblog stuff without necessarily having to follow anybody about it. I'm still following 2.5x the number of people following me but I feel pretty okay about that.

One thing I had to do for the good of my mods folder was unfollow any non-mutual as well as incredibly prolific CC creators. Not because I don't love their stuff, but because there was a point where I was downloading like 25+ GB a month without even meaning to.

Over winter break I might take a hiatus from playing Sims to complete yet another purge and work on a nice Resources page that gives a list of all the CC I use. I'd still do WCIFs, mind, it would be more to give credit where credit is due.

Also, a navigation page! Especially if I start posting the non-legacy story I've been hinting about these past few days. I'm a couple short of 300 followers and at bare minimum I should make it easy for folks to catch up to the things I have!

(And also for extra things like getting faster load times that I didn’t even mention but were totally related and helpful!) 

~This Link~ was the LeeFish thread that I knew had to exist, so special thanks to simlili for finding it for me. :) I’m going to try deleting my thumbnails first because I had no idea that could cause flashing! (Though I deleted them about 5 years ago and the lag of regenerating them was such a pain I have to say I’m not looking forward to that, but...I’ll keep telling myself it’s worth it!) 

It seems the general consensus is that upgrading hardware sadly won’t help much with game problems, but a CC purge and maybe a visit with the Compressorizor will. Sigh. I’m not looking forward to a Downloads cleaning, but it really needs to be done. Maybe I’ll start up a new low-CC and just-for-fun ‘hood to put together the essentials as they’re missed.

You know what they say, it's not a dream date without a wildfire at the end! :D That's a really pretty spot for a date, though.

But a raging forest first will be so worth the mood lighting! :) ...OK, not really. But thankfully, this is the Sims. People can burn their houses down while making spaghetti, but wild forest fires don't exist. :)

Thanks goodness this game is lenient for mood lighting! I don’t know what I’d do without my standing lamps in the middle of the living room floor with no plugs, or  invisible lamps out in the middle of a forest. I’ve always thought it was a bit of a shame that the house can’t actually burn down with a kitchen fire, but I guess I would be pretty annoyed if I had to rebuild an entire house instead of just replacing a few kitchen cabinets...

Funny, I was just having a conversation with someone the other day about how North American pie is, and how sweet pies simply aren’t a thing in other places. I also argued that North Americans tend to get very passionate about pie at times, so thanks for proving my point. :P
