👦 for Charlie! (Maybe when she is first adopted by Chiro?)
Send 👦 tomeet my muse as a child!
I decided to combinethis with another ask prompt meme that I reblogged, which had a list of 30situations one could find my muse in. I got number 26, which was “cosplaying.”And, well, that was just too adorable notto do.
So have some cute bby Charlie~
Heroes
Charlie bounced on the tips of her toes. “Didja bring it, didjabring it, didja bring it?”
“Charlie,” Chiro-dad scolded, a smile on his face and alaugh in his words. “Let her come through the door first.”
Aunt Jinmay laughed,a clear, vibrant sound that made Charlie’s own grin widened. Charlie steppedback enough to let  Aunt Jinmay fullyinto the apartment, the door whooshing shut behind her. She pulled her backpackoff of her shoulders. “Yes, sweetie, I brought it.”
Charlie whooped, and Chiro-dad laughed.
“Do I get to know what the surprise is now?” he saidteasingly, hip pressed to the back of the couch.
“In a minute,”  AuntJinmay said, voice warm. “Come on, Char, let’s go put it on.”
Charlie raced back to her room, stopping at the door towatch  Aunt Jinmay follow. She pouted, bouncingimpatiently for the entire half a minute it took  Aunt Jinmay to walk the hall. Charlie dartedinto the room.  Aunt Jinmay put thebackpack on the bed, and retrieved a clear plastic bag from inside.
Charlie reached her hands out, wiggling her fingersimpatiently.
Aunt Jinmay laughed, and let her have it.
Charlie ripped it open and unfolded the outfit inside. Shelet out a loud gasp. “It’s perfect!”
Aunt Jinmay laughed. “Let’sput it on, okay?”
Charlie did so with gusto, nearly tripping and falling overin her haste to get it on. Eventually, she managed it, and struck a pose infront of her mirror—to  Aunt Jinmay’sdelight.
“Okay okay okay,” Charlie said. “Now you gotta go announce me.”
“Announce you?”
“Yeah!”
Aunt Jinmay covered her mouth, but her eyes smiled for her,and they left the room. Charlie stayed in front of her door, while Aunt Jinmaywent to the end of the hall.
Aunt Jinmay cupped her hands around her mouth, and in aslightly deeper voice, she said, “Now introducing… Charlie!”
Charlie barreled down the hall, skidding to a stop in frontof Chiro-dad. She lifted her chin, throwing her hands on her hips and spreadingher feet wide. She had her eyes closed for full effect, but after a moment, shepeeked one open to see Chiro-dad’s face.
As she’d hoped, he was beaming.
Because there she stood, wearing a costume of him.
“Looks ready to fight Formless, doesn’t she?” Aunt Jinmaysaid, her voice softer now.
“Absolutely,” Chiro-dad said.
Charlie opened her eyes all the way now. “I told you I wasgonna be just like you when I grew up!”
“Oh, grown up now, are we?”
“Duh! I’m gonna be your sidekick, and we’re gonna kick somuch butt, and make all the Formless afraid to even come outta their houses!”
“Those are some pretty big goals, Char.”
“Nah.” Charlie shook her head, hair flying. “It’ll be easy, for you an’ me.”
Aunt Jinmay grinned. “I think it’s picture time!”
Chiro-dad rolled his eyes exaggeratedly, and Charlie giggledat him. “Pictures!” she crowed.
“How do you want us?” Chiro-dad asked with a mock-sigh.
Aunt Jinmay hummed. “One with you in your regular clothes, and her in the costume… and then one with both of you in costume. Charlie canpick the poses.”
Chiro-dad grinned. “Alrighty, Char, do your thing.”
“Let’s match first!” Charlie said. “Put me on your shoulders.”
Chiro-dad raised an eyebrow, and Charlie frowned at him fora minute, before she remembered.
“Put me on your shoulders, please,” she amended.
With a flash of green light, Chiro-dad entered hyper mode.He went to Charlie, and lifted her over his head, balancing her on hisshoulders. Aunt Jinmay held up her camera.
“Say, Heroes!”
“Heroes!”

10 Fanfic Question Tag Game
I was tagged by @easilydistractedbyfanfic, @marauders-groupie, and @dylanobrienisbatman - Thank you!
Not sure who else hasn’t already done this or already been tagged... Please do it if you haven’t and want to!
*
1. what’s your favorite genre to write?
I mean, I feel like the answer is objectively “Romance” because I write fanfic but tbh I never think of it that way. Maybe because I’m so used to writing fic that I think in the sub-genres of fandom rather than in the sense of how the work would be classified on a bookstore shelf. Within fandom genres, I like to think I write a variety of things, fluff, angst, etc., but mostly it all comes back to pining, longing, softness, desire, uncertainty, and idiots in love.
2. do you pull inspiration from real-life, or do you pull things from other books/fanfic?
I do pull from real-life in a way but... I try not to pull directly and literally. Every now and then I will take a real life location or event and write a fic around it but I feel like those stories tend to not be as good, or at least, I don’t like them as much. I don’t know if it’s because I know the big gap between the fiction and the reality and the fiction pales in comparison, or because it feels or is lazy, or because those stories really are weaker. More often, I pull from real life in the sense that writing is a way to work through things. So I might take a certain feeling that’s real but have it emerge in a different way, or I might take a certain small moment and write it in a different context. There’s an example of this in my most recent Chopped fic but I don’t want to reveal myself--plus it’s kinda personal in a way. The other best example I can think of is a Bellarke fic I wrote once in which Bellarke are college fuck-buddies-with-feelings; there are two incidents there that are straight up stolen from my relationship with my ex-girlfriend but everything else, including the main plot, is completely unrelated. But tbh even that fic kind of toes the line for me into “a little too real.”
In terms of other sources of inspiration... I get a decent number of ideas from songs. I write to prompts/challenges with some frequency. Sometimes I write things that fulfill certain fantasies of mine (A Watch with No Hands is an example). I would say most often, inspiration comes in the form of “Wow, this made me a feel a certain way, I want to create this feeling myself.” And that “this” could be anything; often it’s music, but it could be a TV show (”this makes me feel nostalgic for high school, I want to write something about adolescence,” for example) or something I’ve read.
3. do you tend to write one-shots, short stories, or longer things?
I write one-shots for the most part. I am not good with multi-part fics. At all. Sometimes I write very short things, under 1k, as writing exercises. But in terms of full-sized, I think 4k is about average for me??
4. do you prefer description or dialogue?
I’d say description. If I get on a roll with dialogue I can actually write it faster, but if I’m including long sections of dialogue, it’s because I need to get certain, specific information across, and so I get nervous about it before I start. I don’t want to forget something important! And I don’t want the important things to feel shoved in there, but to flow naturally! With description, I can start out with a general idea and just let it flow and see what happens.
5. favorite fanfic/book of all time?
My favorite book of all time, if I had to pick just one, is The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. I’ve only read it in its entirety once and I recently discovered my English copy is kinda falling apart, which is a bummer. It’s so beautiful and moving; one of those books that just transforms you as a person.
I’m also a big fan of Shirley Jackson, so like literally everything she’s ever written, including stuff I haven’t read yet, must be mentioned. And I’ve been reading Sigrid Undset’s The Master of Hestviken this past... over half a year probably, and she was a genius. America needs to understand this.
I don’t think I read enough fic to have a favorite of all time. :(
6. favorite trope?
SHARING A BED. I was thinking recently about how often I use this trope and I’m like, ‘should I tone it down?’ Then I decided, heck no, it’s not boring me yet. I just... I love beds, I love the comfort of a good bed, and I guess it’s just Absolute Peak Fantasy of me to imagine two people snuggly and happy in bed. Or snuggly and pining for each other in bed.
7. are you the kind of person to work on more than one wip?
Yes. I do tend to focus on one thing at a time in the sense that I might only work on one fic for a week, or two weeks, and I generally do have one ‘front burner’ project that gets most of my attention until it’s done, or it gets irredeemably stuck. But I don’t get an idea, write it, finish it, post it, and then go on to the next idea (unless I’m writing for an event with a deadline, like Chopped, or a gift exchange, where there’s basically no other choice). I always have multiple fics started and/or in the planning stages.
8. how long have you been writing for?
Aw fuck. Well... I started posting fic online in the fall of 2006, when I was a senior in high school. I started writing fic just for myself probably around 2002 or 2003. And I’ve been writing original stuff/in general...for as long as I’ve been able to write I guess? My first long form piece was handwritten in a 70-page wide-ruled notebook--filled the whole thing!--and that was in the fourth or fifth grade, I think. (For anyone who doesn’t want to do math, that was 20 years ago lololol.)
9. do you tend to write more during the morning, afternoon, or evening?
I write mostly in the afternoons/evenings. If I’m having a good week, I can write for a bit after work, like around 6pm or so. On the weekends I say I’ll write in the morning but... it’s usually the afternoon at best. Sometimes I write before bed, if I really need it for the catharsis.
10. do you prefer to post your wip chapter by chapter, or do you prefer to wait until your wip is 100% finished before posting?
I don’t write that many multi-chapter WIPs but I admit I do not wait until the whole thing is done. I have a couple where I’m trying to do that... and I have sometimes been able to write ahead. But I just don’t have the self control. Plus like... writing is a solitary activity, and the great thing about fanfic is that there’s a chance to connect with people through it, to make it less solitary. So in a way, I guess this is a self-serving justification, but, what’s the point of hoarding what you’ve written?

Pre-wedding jitters (Hongbin fluff)
Tumblr media
Genre: fluff
Length: 1k
Pairing: Lee Hongbin x reader (female)
Summary: Hongbin helps you calm down when you stress about being pregnant on your wedding day
So this was requested a few months ago, I lost who sent in the request but I know it was: “Can I get a Hongbin fluff when you will get married and you are worried if you will fit in your wedding dress because you are 7 months pregnant with twin boys, and he helps to get your worries away”
It makes me super happy to write this because Hongbin is essentially my bias and this made me so :))))) because he’ll be such a great dad in the future i love hongbin so much. My soft little baby boy aw
I was actually considering doing a second part of this. maybe set several months later !!! I think this turned out a lot more successful than my Wonsik fluff oops (I’ll try to edit that to actually make it bearable), but I hope you enjoy this. Originally I wasn’t going to write anything on this blog if it didn’t have smut in but I’m glad I went against that :)
So this is just a little post to fill the gap between when I post more smut :) I hope you enjoy and I hope it was actually fluffy and gave you some feels??? idk
You had the tendency to become anxious over situations that weren’t as bad as they seemed. Now was one of those times.
You’d just arrived home from the doctors after finding out that you were 3 months pregnant, with twins no less. For you that was not some of the best news you could get, since you were getting married to Hongbin in 4 months time.
It wasn’t his reaction about the pregnancy that worried you, no. You and Hongbin had been talking about kids for a long while now and obviously since you were due to get married, you’d planned to spend the rest of your life with him and to one day have children. You just didn’t understand why it had to be right now of all times. By the time your wedding date reached you’d be a good 7 months pregnant and bulging out of your dress. Oh god not your dress. It was going to cost thousands to be altered. You let out a load groan and threaded your fingers through your hair, tugging at it. At this point you didn’t care about the fact that you’d probably be a bald bride too.
Hongbin was in such a daze right now, over the moon that the two of you were having your own babies. Fair enough the two of you were planning on having them a few years down the line, agreeing for you to keep the use of the pill to keep unplanned parenthood at bay. Despite this factor, he couldn’t hide the excitement that buzzed through his veins. He was like a little boy who’d just got a puppy for Christmas.
You weren’t sure why you weren’t feeling very well the past few weeks, so Hongbin suggested going to see your doctor about this unusual sickness. The last thing you were expecting was the news that you were pregnant…especially with twins.
Your first initial reaction was to turn towards Hongbin, anxious for what his reaction would be. He was staring at the doctor in disbelief, almost too amazed at her words. He was sure he’d heard her write and stuttered asking for her to repeat what she’d said. After hearing it for a second time where this time he knew he’d heard it right, his face broke out into a gigantic smile, brighter than the sun. He was ecstatic, running over to you then dropping onto his knees and placing multiple kisses across the small bump that sat under your t-shirt. For him there would never be any news greater than finding out you were carrying his child.
Each passing second made you more nervous and you couldn’t understand why you were over-thinking so much, but Hongbin’s chirpy mood was making it worse. Somehow you just couldn’t understand how he could be optimistic about this? Didn’t he do the maths and work out that it’d be your wedding soon?
He was beside himself, “Y/n, can you believe this? We’re…we’re having a baby..two babies,”
“Yes Hongbin I am well fucking aware that I’m pregnant, now could you do me a favour and shut up about it?” You snapped sharply, then let out a sigh sliding down the wall and sitting with your knees up and your arms crossed, hiding your face from your fiancé who was looking over at you with a distressed expression on his face. You didn’t look up when you heard him walk over, but instead mumbled an incoherent apology into your arms.
“I’m sorry Binnie, I didn’t mean to snap and get angry at you, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just my hormones are so whack right now. I’m sorry to be such a troublesome fiancée.” You sighed again, the tears rolling down your cheeks with no end. You weren’t entirely sure why you were crying, but you decided not to question it.
He silently rested his head on your shoulder, quiet for a moment. “You’re not a troublesome fiancée, you’re the best damn fiancée in the world. I think you’re so beautiful and incredible and strong and I couldn’t be happier with any other person in the world. I know you feel stressed right now, but I promise our wedding will be great.” He nudged you then, sitting up to move opposite you. “Hey, at least our kids will be in the wedding photo with us.” You let out a soft giggle at his dumb jokes and he pulled you into his embrace.
Even feeling his arms around you helped to ground you, the situation felt so much more bearable with Hongbin here with you and you wondered why you were even stressing about it anyway. Of course it was inevitable that you’d have to deal with a bump since you were going to be pregnant, but there was no point in stressing about how you’d look because you knew Hongbin would find you beautiful no matter what.
There was an unspoken silence for several minutes, just trying to be in the moment with your future husband. Hongbin spoke again in a soft voice, “Us four will all be okay. Me and the boys will always be here to look after you.”
“Hongbin… you don’t know if they’re going to be boys or not.”
He just grinned at you knowingly, “Of course they will! They’ll both be boys just as handsome and charming as I am!” he joked and you snorted, poking at his dimple as you snuggled in tightly to his chest.
Maybe it would all be okay.
