Oooohh gege better be careful if real world politics are going to be explored or used in the narrative . Especially when looking at the history of china and japan in the last 70-80 years. But heian period japan had a “close” relationship with china back then so maybe it will mention that more?
aside from that I like world building. I was bummed out when yuki said only people in japan had more curse energy compared to other countries. I took that as gege is probably only going to focus in japan and not explore how curses in other countries are handled. I was kind of disappointed but I won’t criticize akutami too much for that. It’s good in itself for jjk to be a contained story in a single country as the main focus. World building vs plot progression writer’s ordeal.
Because china was mentioned it gave me an idea on who kenjaku could be😂.

I don't think Gege's necessarily gonna shy away from talking about the impact that Juju Society would have on global politics, especially when you can't really keep what happened in Tokyo/Shibuya under wraps for long. Someone's gonna demand answers eventually and they've already brought up the inevitability of the US getting pissy if they found out about Sorcerers/Curses existing while Japan (or at least, a group within Japan) kept that potential a secret. Knowing the US government, they'd def want to weaponize either of those avenues if they were to learn about them. (Or, ya know.... use it as a thinly vieled excuse for war, which is a favored past-time over here 🙄)
I'm all here for further world-building, especially if that means we learn more about how the higher-ups/the clans would handle --and possibly try to counteract-- the steps that Kenjaku is taking, whatever those are. Right now there's so much up in the air on both sides, but eventually somethings gotta drop.
As for Yuki saying that Japan has a concentration of CE, I also took that as the story staying localized to Japan, but it doesn't fully rule out the possibility of Sorcerers or Curses existing outside of the country, they're just extremely rare. It does make me wonder if we'll ever get introduced to any of those sorcerers besides the tribe in Africa and Miguel. Fingers crossed.
I could see Kenjaku searching for the elixer of life, getting on a boat one day and vanishing into the great beyond. I would like to know more about Kenjaku's past & what he was up to before/during the Heian Era though, so if this is the potential set-up for Gege talking about that while also touching on the repercussions of Kenjaku's plan, then consider me invested.
