#im gonna moan for a moment#i get there is a subsection of fans who hate the dreamling thing#like i get it#but can you please just focus on creating other stuff for fandom instead of hating on it in the tags?#please#sandman is full of wonderful characters#and yeah even i agree the hob gadling obsession is a bit much#i prefer fics and art primarily set in the dreaming#and I would love more lucienne and gault#but dont tell me that shipping dream with hob is inherently racist#i take issue with that#there are plenty issues with this fandom#and yes the black characters should be raised up far more than they are#but outright stating dreamling shippers are all racist is bullshit#sorry that i prefer ships with heavy subtext in canon#and dont wanna ship dream with his sister his niece or his servant#i suspect this is coming from dreamxlucienne shippers mostly#personally i think lucienne is too good for dream#and i think she would be better off with gault#also i like queer ships#so if they introduce a black male character for dream ill be all over it#there is one already#pharamond#and I really hope that they lean into it when the time comes#but i dont like this malicious shipping war which is creeping into the tags#making out that dreamling shippers are inherently racist by default#when it fundamentally is not the case
