“Here sweetie, let me grab that.” It’s unnerving. Typically Rick slinks out of sight when you bring in the groceries, or do any chores really. Yet, here he is. Large, warm hands briefly caress yours as he lifts the paper bags you were currently struggling with into his own arms. It makes your chest bloom, but you tamper down the feeling. This road always leads to disappointment.
