ok so i have some Tobirama thoughts cuz i watch Naruto rn and over analyzing everything

but whatever i need this character study to get my characterisation of him straight.

So basically I just thinking over what an ass Tobirama is towards the Uchiha clan

and a disclaimer: i love Tobirama he's my fav, I just want to understand him better and PLEASE share your own opinions too! i feel like im making a whole paper on him or smth

Tobirama was basically "I separated Uchiha in their own compound from the main cast of the village and ordered them to make a police force (and everyone knows how people "love" cops, especially in military settlement) not because I hate them. They're just dangerous and prone to mental instability (thinking of Madara much? Dude if ppl feel love intensely, and you don't, it fucking doesn't mean they're mentally ill). But I know some good Uchiha (Kagami who was under his command?? and Itachi who massacred the whole clan for the village????) so I don't hate Uchiha."

Like okay, he doesn't hate hate them, but he IS prejudged af. As much as I like to read stories where he isn't like this and kinda more forgiving, in canon he is an ass.

And honestly it makes sense for Tobirama to be like that (I'm not defending him, I'm just trying to lay his thought process down). Like he fought with Uchiha for most of his life and he doesn't have pink glasses on his nose like Hashirama. He knows they're dangerous and he learned to mistrust them since they're enemy.

And he has his own theories about Sharingan, but basically he thinks that bitches are so sensitive, they can't handle a little hurt and loss.

I honestly think that he's wrong, like I think Sharingan awakens by high levels of stress (maybe cortisol levels shoot up suddenly?) Tobirama is only one man who tried to understand that and he barely interreacted with Uchiha personally.

Though we don't know their medical progress at this point, so maybe he really didn't know? Like he didn't have enough medical knowledge to get this theory straight. He has his special interest in making jutsu and you don't need to know people well enough. You just need to know how to kill them effectively.

Also, dude, if you (or maybe Senju in general) don't react as strong as the Uchiha, it doesn't mean they're mentally ill or cursed.

Oh and Tobirama thinks he's done GOOD for Uchiha. I mean his brother thinks it's slight for the Uchiha to get separated, living near prison and being avoided by village since they're the police force, but for Tobirama it's a job well done cuz it helped the village. He's a practical man who doesn't even think about feelings like that.

I think with Konoha he kinda played the game like SimSity but IRL. Optimised and used the resources he had to do the best working village. You don't think about sims' feelings when you make them pay higher taxes or make them live near dumpster just cuz you think it's okay and they will manage, right?

Before it was his brother to care for this kind of stuff. But then he died (how the fuck btw? I hc it was a disease but damn in some timelines he died when he was like 42 but damn WHAT could've killed The God of Shinobi) and Tobirama stayed alone. I assume his family wasn't much help and they had a 1st war near, so Tobirama had to work fast and efficient.

I think Tobirama was also offended at Madara since he tried to destroy the village he put a lot of work into (lets be real, Tobirama doing most of administrative work is basically canon, not a headcanon, it sits way too right)

Plus I think Tobirama like many people was impressed + scared of Madara. Like he's crazy strong and ofc you're afraid, I get it. But Madara is an exception, not the rule. He's just a freak of nature + I think being Indra reincarnation had its influence too. It's not the whole Uchiha clan, but Tobirama judges them like he'd judge Madara.

Maybe he's a bit paranoid. Understandable since being a ninja and it's what keeps you alive, but this lack of trust really showed through all of the history between Tobirama and Uchiha clan.

Okay maybe hc territory, but I think Tobirama doesn't get emotions much in general. He's very autistic coded and, being on the spectrum myself, I can get where he's coming from. I trained my empathy cuz not having one is considered wrong. Tobirama probably didn't cuz no one told him to or he didn't consume this type of content in his childhood (i trained myself by cartoons lol). He cares, but he doesn't get feelings and makes these kinds of theories, based on rumors (damn dude fact check please).

Maybe since he doesn't get emotions much he's used to depend on other people in this regard? Like people start saying these rumors and he watches himself and is like "Yeah that seems possible" especially since Madara got his big drama time about Izuna. He has big feelings = has strong Sharingan. It is plausible.

I dont think Tobirama wanted to check it for sure, since 1) WHO will let the White demon near their precious eyes to help him understand how they work; 2) it's not his point of interest. he had village to run, jutsu to make, kids to teach. the bitch was busy and it's only 24 h/day

Do you think Chrollo expected the Troupe to last 12+ years? The expectations set at the start largely determine his current views. How good did they do?

Now Ofc he’d want it to ✨last forever✨ or as long as possible,but how long did he think they’d actually get to live?

Chrollo in yorknew carries himself with a confidence that the Spider will live on way beyond him,we somewhat feel like the adventure is only starting. But at the same time he is lost and doesn’t really know the direction the Troupe is heading in.

At the start he mentioned offering up their lives in order to: -find Sarasa’s murderers and get revenge -free Meteor City from crime/mafia so that no child can be kidnapped again

We know the troupe later also broke the deal where Meteorians are exchanged for money. This is a significant achievement,it implies the Spider provides enough money instead,and it hints at the fact that the previous points are already done,that Chrollo has achieved what he planned.

Those were things that he was ready to die for,things for which the others were also ready to sacrifice themselves. And that’s what they kind of expected,right?

My theory is that they greatly surpassed their expectations.

If they were still fighting for any of the above,we wording have this sense of directionless roaming around that is present in the yorknew arc. The Spiders seem to be beyond the theme of revenge unless it directly affects them. Uvo even said he hates those who fight him for revenge reasons (and I wonder why).

Maybe little Chrollo would’ve marvelled at the progress he managed to make in those years,but he probably couldn’t know how it would affect his psyche. He knew he’d become a “villain” but he probably meant that he’d be fighting for a noble end using bad means. What is that end now?

The Spider needs some sort of plan to justify its existence. For its death to be a tragedy,it needs the will to live and some goal to achieve. Or is it a question of a candle stump losing its flame once it’s burned down?

Should the Spider just retire?

If they have achieved all of their previous goals,the answer could well be yes. Sadly those goals aren’t milestones that you have to reach once and for all,but Meteor City’s safety is fragile and needs maintenance.

And yet,it’s never stated as the reason why the Spider has to keep moving. Maybe to the characters it’s obvious,but we as the audience can only speculate. Also it would make the problem way too simple.

“Oh the Spider is still needed back at home” Ofc it is,duh,but that’s not enough to satisfy the quest for meaning.

It would be interesting if the Troupe started out as a team that’s some sort of necessary evil (and the backstory chapters present it in such light) but now that all it’s done it’s no longer necessary so just evil, but they don’t see it as such.

You know,a band of child soldiers that grew up and is now terrorising the world because their original purpose is completed.

But how is the Troupe unnecessary when it’s the solution to the Mafia problem? It’s rather that they don’t know how much more that can do and how much of that will matter at the end.

No one is forcing them. All of their duty is “self inflicted”,they chose to carry that burden.

Are they suffering from success?

Chrollo thought on the way to avenging Sarasa he might loose his own life or some of his friends. He made that commitment still,and then they all survived. Ok,they lost number 8 & 4,but those weren’t original members and it’s still lucky that the rest made it all the way to yorknew. Yk,after they’ve already done what they wanted (and yes,they have already found the murderers,fight me on that, I KNOW its the truth).

So Uvogin and Pakunoda didn’t die on the way,but after they’ve arrived at the top.(But at the top there was nothing :()

Is that to say that they could’ve hopped off and lived a safer life? At this point they were unable to. Much like Chrollo,they might not have a proper self outside the Spider. AND YET the reason it hurts so much is because they died for the Spider after it lost its main goal. This is why Chrollo quickly needs a reason to ground it all since they couldn’t have died for nothing.

There must be a reason why they’re still doing this other than “we can’t otherwise”, right?

RIGHT?

In conclusion, Chrollo is what happens after one survives the “Kurapika arc” and completes his revenge. He might be free to live on,but after he threw away his life and morals already,this existence looses meaning and so do all deaths for the sake of it.

So, I started rewatching Community after a year or two and wow, I forgot so many things about this show:

Jeffannie started in season 1 during that debate episode and this makes me feel even more icky. Somehow I thought that this ship started at the end of season 1/beginning of season 2.

Jeffannie is so uncomfortable for me to watch. Not only is the age gap creepy, Annie is presented as this innocent girl while Jeff is Jeff. And yeah, as the series progresses, Annie matures but she's still so young and has her whole life ahead while Jeff is 40 and stuck at Greendale

Britta in season one was the best because she wasn't dumbed down and exaggerated. She had the same flaws as in later seasons (like her lack of real activism, terrible choice of boyfriends, being uncool etc.) but those flaws were believable and toned down to fit the rest of characters. I miss Britta

I forgot that they made Pierce horrible in season 2 onwards so it was a shock. In season one he has more redemptive moments

I miss season one and two of community the most. The show was still somewhat grounded and it made me think of my own college experiences (anthropology as shown in community was basically 80% of my real classes)

Senior Chang > any other Chang BUT that one episode of Guard Change is top ten for me ("Arizona backwards is Arizona!")

Abed was terrible to Troy in some episodes in season 3 (Blanket fort episode, stars doppelgangers episode) and doesn't face consequences/learn a lesson/start to appreciate Troy more. I like Abed but it still pisses me off

I feel that as the show progressed it was less about the main 7 and more about Annie and Jeff which sucks and I hate it

Also, Jeffbritta was the best. Are they toxic? Yes. Do they understand each other on a deep level and always help each other when needed? Also yes. I loved their bickering in the show and I always liked their little moments.

I forgot that Dean's Dalmatian fetish started in season one and progressed throughout the story

Idk, I noticed that sometimes some characters from main 7 appeared for like 1 minute in the whole episode. I know that you can't always have episode with all of them equally on the screen but idk it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Like the election episode which is basically all about Jeff and Annie. Pierce has like 5 lines and all are horrible, Troy and Abed are reduced to being announcers, Britta and Shirley basically don't exist (Britta also goes on stage and is ridiculed)

Idk they could have done more with Shirley

I also like the friendship between Britta and Shirley, the anarchist and atheist being friends with devoted Christian has so much potential

How often and how in depth do Lewis and Bono communicate during the race? I've always wondered (especially since Max seems to hate getting talked to lol)

it's a very chill atmosphere? like, it's insane how calm bono is. that's why i love listening to them, most of the time it's so soothing even when the race itself is stressful.

at the mexican gp now they were constantly chatting back and forth during every lap! but i’d say it’s usually very short to the point messages. if it's a quieter race (no chance of podium, no cars close to lewis, no overheating concerns, etc) they don't talk as much.

idk if you wanted this much detail but: bono constantly gives lewis the time to the car in front and behind him, gives him lap time comparisons of others so that lewis knows what kind of lap time to aim for. this season he often asks bono many times during a race if the tyre and brake temperatures look ok to bono (bc miss w14 struggles with those) and if/when he should lift and coast to cool the car. lewis also always asks bono where he is losing time compared to others and then bono tells him what he can improve in which corner. lewis often will reply with “understood”. if lewis ever doubts strategy or the tyre choice or is frustrated with the car's grip or a safety car, bono gives minimal responses (like "yeah, copy that lewis") or reassures him it'll be fine (like "you're doing a good job managing, keep at this pace, the race will come to us"). the very few times lewis ever tells bono to be quiet is those "famous" moments when he says "leave me to it, bono", for example when he has a couple final laps to catch someone, or needs to essentially do multiple quali laps to make up time. i feel like those really didn't happen this season at all since he's not fighting for a title. bono also rarely asks lewis to make strategy calls. he will sometimes check which tyre lewis would prefer to switch to and ofc how long he thinks he can still go on a tyre. bono always reminds lewis to drink in the more physical races (he'll literally in between just go "and remember to drink" <3) and a typical thing he says when lewis is on the hunt but doubts that he's actually making progress, bono will say "you're the fastest man on track" to remind him he's the king of everyone actually 💅 hehe. in the races i've watched, bono has never once been sarcastic towards lewis or teasing him in anyway or tried to "put him in his place".

god i really wish i could answer this but there's just so little fan content in this fandom that i haven't actually come across any i HATE. i literally cannot think of anything lol

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

well i haven't written ridley much - just the chatfic and a short wip from ages ago but i definitely like writing her annoyed? idk i think she's very much one of those characters who lash out because she struggles to say her emotions out loud and i like writing her lashing out then apologising/admitting how she actually feels. i haven't really written her much so the only thing i don't like is that i struggle to get her voice down sometimes.

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?

hmmm since we have so little fics in this fandom i can't say there's any common trends in fics/characterisations. so instead i'll use this as an opportunity to advertise one of my favorite fics ever: I’ll Always Make My Way Back To You (cause that’s what we do) which is focused on the Golden Twins but does have really nice Ridley characterisation in chapter 3!

So we all saw how NUzi is now canon right?

Well upon thinking about/rewatching the episode I concluded that the ship moments are kinda out of place (NOT THAT I HATE THEM)

While NUzi moments can be found in the previous episodes, I think they were idk a little short? vague? (Except in ep 5 and perhaps 3) and now in this episode they were MORE prominent (Basically I think that It was like really abrupt)

I think that Liam could've just left the episode without any ship moments and It would've been better.

N, like with Cyn, seems to be the only one that understands her and wants to help her. THIS IS WHY I STARTED TO THINK THAT MAYBE IN THE FUTURE ENVY GETS CONFIRMED and this thing becames more evident.

hello lovely. im so sorry to hear you're struggling with this but i also think it's wonderful that you want to reach out in the first place! i think that in and of itself is progress, and a great sign. that being said, i totally understand your trepidation and i think to an extent it's normal - nobody likes having to be vulnerable in such a clinical way, nobody ever knows what to say or how to say it perfectly. it's completely OK to feel and acknowledge that fear, to let it be there without dictating your actions (which is something that takes practice, so don't worry if it's hard.) anyway, the first thing that came to mind when i read your message was the need to reassure you that most doctors and health professionals are more than willing to work with you and to move at the pace you want to take things at. you don't have to spill it all out or go into grave detail at your first appointment (though it's ok if you do ofc.) most doctors are used to working with patients like this - it's alright to keep your answers general/shorter as long as they are still honest and as long as they get your main concerns across. you don't have to bare your soul in order to have a productive appointment, and if you need to build up a bit of a rapport with your doctor before you feel comfortable getting into the meat of the issue, that's honestly alright. you can stay in contact and build a care plan moving forward if you don't get everything out in one session, especially if youre honest with them about your nervousness from the get-go. another thing i wanted to suggest was writing down what you want to say beforehand. this really helps with the emotional paralysis for me, getting it down on paper so it's easier to communicate out loud when the time comes. i know that might feel a bit silly, but i think it could help take some of the self-imposed pressure you're feeling off. if you can just bullet point what you want to discuss, maybe it'll feel easier and less daunting to verbalise. and finally, this sounds obvious, but i think taking along someone you trust could really help with the nerves here - even if they just come with you to the waiting room. having someone to rely on and to distract you a little works wonders, and i promise that's it's not a problem to ask someone around you if they would accompany you. im sure you would do it for them, so let them be a friend to you too. anyway, i hate that you have to deal with this and i know words of advice never really put dent in the anxiety in situations like this, but i just wanted to offer some ideas and also some understanding. it took me a long time to be able to talk to health professionals honestly, in fact i often still find it hard, and i think that's a pretty common experience honestly. the build-up to the appointment is always always always worse than the actual one though, for real. your mind is in overdrive imagining all the ways it could possibly go wrong, all the reasons you feel you shouldn't be reaching out, and then you get there and it's just a conversation. a hard one, but not as life-or-death as it felt beforehand. you know? i hope with time you're able to come around to the idea of trying to make an appointment, or at least showing yourself some compassion until you're able to get to that point. sending a massive hug your way ❤️

i was torn between sharing a internal thinking snippet vs another dialogue snippet, so i just added both

He slid down to the end of the couch and gently laid down on the shoulder that wasn't hurting. He turned his head to the ceiling to keep his temple from pressing into the couch, closed his eyes, and wrapped his arms around himself. He definitely looked pretty weird like this, legs bent and hanging slanted off the couch, body facing the ground and head facing the ceiling, but didn’t care. He could explain it away as taking a nap. Sitting weird because his legs are too long for the couch, looking up so he doesn’t get blood on it. That's good. Close enough to the truth and combined with some extra motivations to feel real enough. Fits his reputation, too: high-school boy that doesn’t care about much but polite enough to be a decent house guest. Perfectly normal.

Something poked his shoulder.

“PSSSSST. Steeeeeve, you asleep??”

“Yeah.”

Dustin snorted.

“Aren’t you supposed to avoid sleeping right after a concussion?”

He paused.

“Not sleeping, just resting man. Did you need something?”

“I'm making sure you're ok. You look like shit.”

“Thanks.”

Another pause.

“Do you want company?”

Why are you offering? You have your friends right here. He thought. He peaked an eye open. Dustin was hovering slightly above him. Not crowding, really. Just there.

“Where’s Mike and Lucas?”

“They’re cleaning up Will’’s room for when he comes back.”

“...did you guys fight or something?”

“No? We’re doing great.” he answered, studying him for a moment. “I came over here to hang out with you. Because I want to.”

44. your favourite fantasy novel

The Poppy War trilogy by R. F. Kuang!!

R. F. Kuang is one of my favorite writers of all time, and she absolutely won me over last year when i read this trilogy. i already went on and on about it in another ask, but basically, imagine 20th century Chinese history in a fantasy setting heavily influenced by folk religions told through the eyes of Mao Zedong if he was a girl. it's sooooooo so good, has one of the best and most flawed and nuanced female protagonists i've ever read, plus it's just interesting to learn from! Kuang is getting her PhD in Chinese lit right now and she has a Master's in Chinese Studies, on top of being the child of immigrants from China, so she's well-versed in the history and weaves a lot of depth into the story with relation to topics like colonialism, genocide, classism and sexism, and religion

50. a book that made you cry a LOT

Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak!!

ok i'm actually lying because i don't remember actually crying about this book - in fact, i vividly remember being 13 and crying much more violently upon my first read of The Book Thief. here's the thing, though: there's a deep and personal sadness to this book that hit close enough to some of my own experiences that i haven't been able to read it since. i love Zusak's writing so much and this book was beautiful and heartbreaking and wonderful - and i will probably never read it again! i've reread books that made me cry before, but when one makes me feel this deep of an ache, i tend to avoid it, and this book hit just the right spot

71. your favourite LGBTQ+ fiction

I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston!!

ok this is kinda sad but i actually haven't read a lot of books that are specifically focused on LGBTQ+ issues, identity, etc. i've read more books where background characters are incidentally queer ofc because when i was the prime ya target audience that was where things were at the time, but thankfully the times have changed!! now if only my tbr list would catch up to match them lol

i really enjoyed this book though specifically because of its setting: a tiny private Christian school in the Bible Belt. that's literally the kind of school i attended for almost my entire life, so it was so fun to get to see that setting transferred into fiction, especially from an author who also attended a tiny private Christian school in the Bible Belt. and because of the author's familiarity with the subject, they did a great job of showing the kind of layers that environment has, and that queer kids do grow up in those environments and how that effects them.

plus, this one was a fun read because it's just this fun mystery, and the opening quote is from Mr. Brightside. that alone is enough of a reason to read something tbh

77. a book so useless that you could use it as a coaster

i would argue literally any required reading i had to do in high school, but it's absolutely tied between Silas Marner by George Eliot and Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. i hate both of these books just as much as i did in high school because they are boring as hell, beat you over the head with their moralizing, and have the subtlety of a punch to the face with brass knuckles. hell, they aren't even worth being used as coasters. i think they'd ruin my mugs if i set them on them

i usually don't send asks and i would send this off anon, but im scared of getting hate on this, since ive seen quite a lot of discriminatory behaviour in if fandom spaces when it comes to poc opinions so imma just stay anonymous if that's ok with u.

i came across a post you posted a while ago regarding the if ROs and the lack of diverse characters when it comes to darker skin characters and i just wanted to say thank u for making that post. i hope it gives writers and the fandom some food for thought. ive been noticing ever since i got into the if community that black/ros of black descent tend to almost always be the less popular ros and as a mixed black person myself it's really sad to see. you also mentioned the lack of darker skinned east Asians/south East Asians if i recall correctly (if not please feel free to correct me) and I honestly couldn't agree not. ive noticed in some ifs that the characters of color that are the most popular tend to be those of east Asian descent with paler skin or poc ROs who's ethnicity is left ambigious by the author and whilst I'm really happy that there's been more progress made in terms of diversity, i would love to see more black characters who aren't sidelined to the best friend stereotype and more poc characters who's ethnicity is made clearer.

some south east Asian friends of mine who are of Hmong-Thai and Agta-Filipino descent have also mentioned they would would love to see more South East Asian ROs as well as East Asian ROs who are darker skinned, because the majority of the rep that there seems to be for Asian characters are those with paler skin. its a similar feeling for Latinx ROs, i almost always see lighter skinned Latinx ROs being represented in the majority with a lack of darker skinned Latinx ros. I'm not forcing anyone to add diversity to their game ofc, but the ratio of poc ROs to white ros on some games have made me kind of sad to see, specially when there's like 4 or 5 white ros and then 2 ros of colors who seem like they were just kind of tacked on for representation points, but their backgrounds are left ambigious and no Nationality or ethnicity is ever mentioned by the author which kind of leaves me scratching my head ngl. there's also a prominent lack of SEA and SA rep in terms of ROs, so I'm always happy when I see one! I would also love to see more biracial characters who aren't half white, since we aren't all a monolith.

regarding black ros. in my time in the community whilst ive seen an increase in the amount of black ROs, seeing them always be the least popular in polls still makes me quite sad. i hope that fandom can become more open minded and give more black ROs a chance. on the other hand I've seen a lot of greatly written black ROs in comparison to back in the day, and I'm glad people are incorporating more ROs based on their culture which is great!

i have actually seen some improvement, too. either from the fandom directly zeroing in and supporting black characters (i know the polls can seem disheartening - and i had a feeling that's what drew you to my inbox - but there HAVE been moments where the black character would be the most favored ro -- buuuuuut .... sadly, it is still so rare that i continue to be surprised when it occurs) or in the if writers boosting black characters because they have an awareness regarding fandom's bias. i definitely do think we need more of the latter, tho.

i still think there is a very long way to go. extremely. like i think in general, despite the imporvements we have both observed, a lot of the newer games i've seen ratio is still low like you said. it's a mix instead of being - at least from my observation - as consistently majorly white like it used to be. now i'd say the ratio is aybe 3 (white characters) to 2 (characters of color, of different races) ... as opposed to 3:1. Whoo. BUT i've seen what you mentioned too, still -- too many games are still so white. And if they're not, they're more often than not theyll be light skinned East Asian or black (or mixed... with white). Or an ambigous Latino that I can't tell if they're a white Latine or meant to be a character of color. So, yeah ... i don't know what it is. a fear of writing characters of color, not finding characters of color romanceable, or just a lack of awareness.

Like I guess I agree with you (lmao), I don't want to "pressure" people to have diversity either --- mostly because the people who get hurt in cases like that are minorities reading the story. My desire, I suppose, is a want to understand. I know a lot of IF writers have the idea that 'my story is for me', and in a sense, I agree -- I think we shouldn't expect writers to bend every bit of story to the fans (not even an interactive story). I've seen the mess that can create. However, if you wanted it to be JUST your story, you would've left it in your journal. You want engagement and participation -- you want to share, and I believe most stories should be shared. So, why as an artis wouldn't you want to make a story where .... I don't know. I'm tired. I've kind of gotten to a point where I'm just like whatever. I'm disappointed in myself for expecting better from IF writers and the IF fandom.

BUT I am glad that you and your friends are not only discussing but EXPECTING better, because you deserve it. Because your friends deserve to see and engage with characters who are SEA (of all shades, but especially of darker skinned). You deserve to see mixed raced characters who aren't half white (or light skinned), because as stated yall arent a monolith -- that isn't all there is in the world. (And it's WEIRD to me, like WHY do we AUTOMATICALLY assume mixed/biracial = partially white? I mean I KNOW why but COME ON! lol.)

do you have any emetkoto trivia for us? like some initial beta ideas that changed as you played the story more?

WELL emetkoto started after I'd already completed shadowbringers so i had a pretty good idea of the plot and stuff but at first there was no actual like. emetkoto at all? it was just some hate sex that happened a few times...then that kinda progressed into one-sided vague feelings from k'oto, nothing world-shattering and depression-inducing like the final product but he was like 'man. i wonder if there couldve been smth there. oh well'. and that eventually progressed into ok maybe emet selch COULD love him back.....ok he DOES love him back...they are SO in love it HURTS!!!!!

before endwalker i was kinda keeping myself warm with thoughts of an emet selch returns emetkoto thing, kinda like a beta good end 1...it wasnt tied to any one event and was pretty much just. 'i want to think about them being happy together while i wait for this expansion to come out' yknow??? there really weren't any alternate endings for them until my friend ash planted the idea of the secret tempest wedding in my brain that kind of took over and became a really important part of their story and after that the dying gasp became a branch point for endings as i started thinking about them more and more...good end 1 was obviously the first one i thought about but then bad end 1/corruption arc came to be and ofc bad end 2/lightwarden k'oto but we dont talk about that one :)

(they sound reaaaally similar to the siren lady… i might explode them with my mind) the idol one was pretentious and snarky and overly confident and constantly putting on that persona but desperately craved praise and was easily manipulated. and the lyricist was extremely jealous and was always externally polite but silently prayed on her sisters downfall and also wants affection from someone who only loves her because one its something her sister wouldnt have and two smthng smthng lyricist never being as recognized as the idol

i keep thinking about salkenta and like vaguely know a bit about them. kenta obv has trust issues (guy who lives in a prison and has no friends) and it doesnt help that sal is there to Study them for a project but sal is more openly emotional than kenta and can easily ask for help from others at the v least w surface level stuff which he struggles with, while sal initially hates hjm for being an annoying 4chan teenage boy they do admire how he’s openly like, an asshole and kind of a bad person but he’s openly himself and genuinely serious about what he loves which is something they also struggle with. initially with sal they see kenta as another annoying person who doesn’t believe in them with underlying envy because he’s in some ways free to be himself and at the very least more true and committed to what he enjoys and envies he has more of a future than them. kenta initially sees sal as another stupid conformist with underlying feelings that he’s just being exploited and thrown around again and looked at like he’s a pitied animal. also later sal stops their original project bc they are disinterested and also don’t want to publish information ab these people, so they continue investigating AT and phantometals but moreso whose behind them and just try to support all the cast as people to connect w. kenta also. didnt have a childhood and he doesnt have siblings (i think. if he does and he doesnt know im fffgh. im fghhfgfg... im gonna lay down) so he'd get to meet mine!!! basically kenta needs to trust people more and sal needs to use their voice more / rely on others less but their relationship is kinda like i'll still stick around and i'll still love you even when you're at your worst and not just when you're easy to like / presentable .

Introverts and Ambiverts 4ever. Perhaps this is wayy more of a personal preference but I have always believe in balancing out energy haha (Venusian household thing) And I don't like dating people who are too similar to me! I like men that are different from me and we can complete one another and therefore this create more growth for both sides😋 I'm an extrovert so I like them to be calmer and less out-going haha we can't have 2 jenx in the same room can we now

I notice a lot of fellow Uranus 7H are into open romances but my Leo Venus really grounds me tbh, I love too hard and for me love is so personal and intimate I don't see myself sharing my partner with anyone else:D Not counting casual flings ofc!!

Very progressive in terms of dating. I literally don't care about someone's past when I date them, I once joke about how unless you committed certain crimes (yes i said certain) and I do end up falling for you, then it is what it is. My prideful Leo venus would talk me out of it though especially if I don't see a future with you LOL

Attracting too much flighty people 💀💀 Like I know how I come off to others and while I do have a harder side to me, I also look for partners I can emotionally rely on (Venus 12H) in the long run:D Yet when I was younger I was around too much of them and it was draining for me as I always give my 100% when I'm invested

Attracting too much possessive people💀💀 I'm territorial, not jealous. Like honestly for me trust is something I care so much in relationships and I prefer my partner to earn it and I would never ever enter a committed relationship that lacks trust as a foundation🤣 I understand jealously but I don't think I find it cute like a lot of other placements, I think I get more scared?💀💀 Like oh ok what do you want now? Ofc its different but I'd rather my partner to talk to me if they feel such way rather than emotionally projecting their insecurities on me y'all

Issues with intimacy. Even in friendships, I need my space dawg. I take 3-5 business days when something traumatic happened and another day to resolve it. I would resurface a week or so and my friends, esp new ones are always mad MAD HAHAHAHAH and I feel so bad but I struggle to open up so much esp during my more vulnerable moments

Issues with the idea of love. You see this is where my aspects contradict. I believe in transparency and committed relationships yet I lowkey don't believe in DECADES LONG love as a result. I think this is me trauma dumping due to certain stuff I have witnessed when I was younger but all the cheating and stuff from couples that have been tgt for 30+ years rly make me question love lol. I think its so much different than marriage like for me I don't associate love with marriage at all and I think it takes other things aside love for something to work out in the long run, its also respect and trust, and wayyy deeper than what I'm barely scratching the surface here:D

Independent and confident people > everyone else. I like nerds LOL i'm not gonna lie brain is hot af. I think it takes time for people to be confident but people who are self-awared and are persistent with their goals is just *chefs kiss*

Literally mayb this is a Uranus 7H thing but I have had so many people coming up to me irl and tell me I'm the most unique friend they have ever had?😀 Since 7H briefly talks about close friendships and Uranus is.. well Uranus so I can't blame em💀

Ahhh I just woke up so I will rb this and continue this later boo:D But here are some of my experiences with this placement and while sometimes I do think its a curse, its a blessing at the end:) Working with 7H energy is not just understanding how others see and view you but also how you see yourself. I find myself attracting people who are shy away from the spotlight a lot and usually are not big fans of too much attention from the public(i can't relate lol), but therefore this speaks sm about me doesn't that mean I like to be the center of the attention then😀😀😀😀😀😀 HAHAHAH here are some very scattered lines of thoughts, hope you enjoy this beautiful 💕

ok thus far if I was a character it would probably be toni or dot. cackling at the thought of being henry but im too bitchy and irritable for that irl 💀 if I was stuck with the girls, i would probs hang with fatin and dot 🥰 maybe rachel too bcuz i love her (so many feelings about s2 Rachel. this is sooooo fucked up). i would not talk to Leah. I rlly would not. she would mention her bf and i would go 😐. im sorry Leah. I understand u as a character and understand ur narrative complexities and being a vessel for the plot but LORD if I met her irl.

anyway if I was in the guys little fucked up circle initially i would've chilled with ivan and henry. would bicker with ivan 75% of the time, but it would be fun. bo is so sweet tho. also liked rafe for a bit. 💗💗💗💗 something that has been killing me is 1. the seth plot. and 2. how uneven the boys backstories are compared to s1... they're just not given the same respect. i also see what u mean about rafe potentially being protagonist but then there's no way to confidentially call him that the way u can for Leah. granted, this IS the girls' story, but it feels like a waste ... only 2 eps left tho so idk

ok u as dot just feels real and right to me that’s so true. and u ivan and henry is kind of a nuclear trip that would be so funny

and hard agree on 2 i think the space to include the boys full stories would have been great but there just was not enough time in the episodes. like the girls were progressing in a really intriguing way but i also wanted space to fill out the lore of the boys to give their stories justice and due diligence too like it just felt so crammed. i feel this season should have been ten eps just so things could be more thinly spread because the boys are INTERESTING and i really like seeing them it just seems like a dilemma of focus that will be cast aside by s3 no spoilers ofc.

and the seth plot being the central conflict for the boys was. a choice. because i hate it on its merit and the fact that it exists but also the ripple effect of how it radically changed the atmosphere on their island and their chances of survival was something that i feel the girls didn’t have (and intentionally so because clearly that’s gretchen’s aim) particularly irt the development of characters like henry kirin josh and raf. it builds the meat of the boys screen time and basically defines their time on the island but i just wish it was anything else.

then again i’m not sure if ur up to seth’s backstory bits but i feel like those make u go “ok yeah that tracks and is completely expected from that creature” as vile as it is. which is also kind of wack because initially the end of ep4 came as a huge like WHOA tw out of the blue thing besides the precedent of his scene with henry on the beach, so it’s just introduced poorly then not really supported well until the end of the season basically. ugh just sloppy but conflict is conflict i guess and also alex fitzalan is acting his ass off if i ever saw that man in public i would cross the street and start running away

edit: back to the boys characters THIS IS A CHARACTER DRIVEN SHOW!!!!!! yes it is plot heavy and set heavy but like there’s a reason season one depended on individual vignettes and spotlights on each girl, and how she related to their journey to survival you can’t just eliminate that and try to tell another compelling story without that element of strong full focused characters to tell it for u. ugh
