BACKGROUND: 

following the battle of hogwarts, ron struggled

his friends had finally beat their main enemy, and honestly.... ron didn’t do want to do, how to cope, none of it

so the first few years after graduation, ron struggled. he didn’t feel like directly going into studying to become an auror like he dreamed of doing, and for awhile, he had been a bartender at different bars in diagon alley

ron was, for lack of a better word, was going downhill, and he’s too stubborn and proud to ask for help for other people

so he filled the void/got rid of all the negative thoughts by doing two things: working long shifts talking to people all the time ( hearing their stories was enough distraction for him ) and hooking up with people ( he needed an outlet somehow ) 

it took him awhile to get out of this rut of his, and it took his friends and family actually sitting down and talking to him for him to be able to realize that he needed help

so he is seeing someone on a monthly basis for talking through everything that happened with voldemort ( only monthly because ron doesn’t want to commit to anything like that ) 

and eventually he did get what he needed to become an auror and he does enjoy what he does but there’s definitely still some remnants of his struggles present where he struggles going to work

but he leans on his support system to get him through, and he still struggles to ask for help, and there will still be times where he’ll be so overwhelmed he’ll snap at people

for the most part, ron puts on a pretty good mask, and most of the time it’s those closest to him that are able to see right through it

WANTED CONNECTIONS:

coworkers from when he was a bartender - maybe he would always take their shifts or something or they just were always scheduled to work together

coworkers from the ministry - feel like this could go either way; they either like working with ron or they don’t! feel like it could be spicy if it’s the latter

ex/current hookups - self explanatory for the most part, ron doesn’t want to commit to anything right now, so they probably call each other in the middle of the night
