been watching season one of severance (insanely good show btw) and it makes me want to write an au where bruce is severed so that he literally doesnt remember being batman (and thus cant ever compromise his identity) but batman remembers him

like bruce knows that hes severed and that its to protect him so if he finds notes kn his handwriting that he doesnt remember writing he just rolls with it. but he doesnt know about being batman at all

imagine one of the justice league meeting bruce wayne (after finding out/being told hes batman) and there being no recognition in his eyes at all??

or like his kids. does robin still exist? does batman take jason to the manor and adopt him without revealing hes batman? does ALFRED know??
