When will the albus severus name discourse in this fandom die omggg. I feel like people are missing a really crucial point when talking about this, which is that all of these characters’ lives were defined around war. No, ginny would not have an issue naming her son after snape because he was a dick to neville! Snape dedicated his entire life to fighting a war on the side she was on, a war that her whole family was heavily involved in, a war that she fought her entire sixth year, a war that took her brother's life, why in the world would she care about something so considerably petty like snape being a shit teacher when he fought and died heroically for her and her loved one's lives?
#honestly everytime this comes up it feels like pure projection#YOU don’t like the name because YOU don’t like snape!#and that’s fine!#personally I think Albus Severus is a horrible name to condemn an innocent child to#but saying that the characters would really have an issue with honoring snape feels like we’re missing a big part of everyone’s experience#honestly I don’t even think neville would have had too much of an issue with this#like we are really understating how much that war would have impacted them#they were children!#they saw people die and get tortured!#but neville getting bullied in third year is more influential on their decision making rightt#not to dismiss the bullying but cmon what are we talking about here its not comparable#anyways#severus snape#ginny weasley#hp meta
