I am. Going to chew glass.
I bought a set of Tonicas to put on my poor, neglected viola. No prob! I've changed strings on my violin so many times, transferrable skills.
Well. The string grooves on the nut are, uh, poorly carved. Like. Straight cut. Not even amateur hour stuff. The one for the A string ate the A.
*muffled screaming bc now I have another instrument to take to the luthier, expensive little bastards*
#ngl its kind of equal parts hilarious and disappointing to grow up and find out that ya my teachers fave music shops was a bit shady#like it at one time had a really respected luthier but he passed before we went there and i think family and students took it over#and i think we managed to juuust get a decent violin from them#ignoring the horrible pegs#but my viol case broke day one which isnt technically something they made#but side eye side eye side eye
