MILES 42 Spoils you
Warnings: None.
Tumblr media
(Dont know who the artist it but props to them. Amazing stuff)
Miles loves to spoil me. He's got plenty of money, thanks to the buyer's market for fancy gadgets and Miles' insanely smart brain, and a few choice investments. Money was no longer a problem for him. He had paid off his mothers mortgage and the only reason why Rio still worked was because she respected her own independence.
The gift giving started off slow. The appreciation I showed fuelled his desire to gift me anything and everything.
I started catching onto his antics and shut it down.
“You like that one Mami?” I felt Mies place his hands on my hips from behind as he peeked over my head at the small stuffed animal on display in a window.
“No,” I flatly refused, going to step away only for him to hold on tighter pulling me back. Miles was stronger than me by a long shot. So my attempt to escape was easily foiled. I could see his smirk in the reflection as he moved to encase my body in his arms resting his chin on the top of my head.
“The green or the blue?” he asked.
“Neither,” I muttered.
“Come on Mami, Which one?” he asked, dropping his head to my shoulder.
“I was just looking at the cute cashier,” I stated without thinking.
“Who the old lady?” he asked with a smirk. Looking at the cashier, I grimace slightly.
“Come on Mi Amor,” he coaxed his lips, finding himself a sweet little spot on my neck.
“Nope,” I popped the p.
“Mi vida, Hermosa, Mi Alma, Mi Amada, Cariño, Mi Reina, Bebe,” with each pet name his gentle pecks got more intimate. Trailing down my neck and sending my cheeks a flame. Finding my sweet spot rather easily my eyes widened as he started to suck on it, fully intent on forming a hickey. Pushing the pleasant shiver it sent though my body I cleared my throat.
“Fine!” I suddenly declared. He smirked giving the spot one last peck before straightening up.
“The blue,” I muttered trying to fix my hair pretending that the kisses had not affected me in the slightest.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Staring at the blue teddy on our bed I huffed in defeat.
Yet as I started to shut down his habit he found ways of literally forcing me to accept it. Whether it be teasing me to the point of acceptance or just flat out ignoring me as he bought the item. The honeymoon period of him actually listening to me diminished in less than a month. Hell I had even tried returning items, Miles caught on and started refusing the receipts when he purchased stuff.
So I made it my mission to not go shopping with him anymore. I succeeded mostly yet sometimes he would still pop up.
It was working to an extent.
Until one day when we went to watch a live performance in the park with Jessica, my best friend and Shiro. I guess you could call him Miles' best friend. The performance was canceled last minute so Jessica decided that we should go shopping. I tried to refuse but Jessica was like Miles in a way. Wouldn't take no for an answer. So there we were walking through a clothing shop. Miles hung closer to me watching and waiting for any reaction I would have. Any slight hint that I liked something and his card was out. Luckily for me I had been practicing the art of deception. The whole time I kept a millstone smile on my face. Miles hated it.
“You're not fooling me with that smile,” he whispered into my ear.
“Oh really? Well I wonder why your cards are nice and snug in that wallet that hasn't left your pocket,” I stated smugly, giving him a wink before turning back to Jessica that held a shirt to her chest asking for my opinion.
“What's up with him?” Jessica asked, nodding to Miles who now wore a slight frown, more than usual.
“I won't let him buy me anything,” I muttered.
“I'm sorry. You're not letting him buy you stuff? Are you sick?” she asked, reaching for my forehead pretending to check my temperature.
“He gets me too much stuff,” I muttered with a small smile pushing her hand away as we walked to the other rack leaving a moody Miles behind.
“And that's a problem, how?” she asked. “You have a sugar daddy and you're not using him,” she tisked going back to looking at things. I hated the feeling that settled in my gut at her words. I know she was just joking but it still hit me deep.
“Hey Mami, we're gonna go check out some things I'll be back,” Miles muttered, gently tapping the side of my hip as he stepped up behind me.
“Ok, meet you at the food court?” I suggested.
“In an hour?” he asked. I nodded and waved him off.
“Now that they're gone we can actually do some shopping,” Jessica said wagging her eyebrows. She dragged me straight towards Victoria's secret. I wasn't gonna lie, I had a good time. Trying things on. Looked at everything that caught my eye without the worry that Miles was gonna buy it. I even bought a nice jacket for Miles. Seeing him sitting down I walked up behind him reaching around to cover his eyes with one hand.
“Hands out,” I demanded with a smile. Miles put his phone down holding his hand out. Placing the bag in his hand I pulled my hand back wrapping my arms around his neck as he opened it.
“What's this for?” he asked holding the jacket up.
“What can't I spoil my man?” I asked, giving his cheek a quick peck before sitting down next to him. He chuckled lowly at my words absolutely loving how I called him ‘my man’
The next day I got back from work walking into our apartment.
“Miles, I’m home,” I called out rounding the kitchen and stopping upon seeing a pile of bags on the dinner table.
“Hey mami,” he called from the couch, keeping his eyes on the television.
“Miles,” I sighed, already knowing what was in those bags.
“I really don't see what the big deal is,” he shrugged, already knowing what my sigh was for.
“Miles,” my tone was more serious now, it snapped slightly and my anger appeared. Miles' head tilted to the side slightly at it. I rarely held this tone. But I had had enough. It was getting out of hand. Miles and I rearly fought. And our fights were mostly me ranting and Miles using a calm tone as he listened.
“What's that tone for?” he asked.
“You know what it's for,” I snapped, chucking my bag on the table looking over it all. Hearing the TV shut off I refused to turn around as he approached me.
“Mami,” he whispered.
“Don't Miles, I'm mad at you right now,” I shook my head walking away from him.
“Babe, come on,” he sighed.
“No Miles, you just don't listen, do you know how frustrating that is?” I ranted ripping my scarf off.
“It's not like you listen to me all the time,” he shrugged, leaning against the door frame of our room. My head snapped to him in a glare that had him sighing again.
“What's got you so wound up. Huh?” he asked softly. That stupid soft understanding tone. That one that held no anger. That's why I hated arguing with him. He never got angry. Never. Frustrated maybe.
“Jessica called you my sugar daddy,” I whispered under my breath, kicking off my shoes.
“Sugar Daddy. Well I like the sound of that,” he mused with a small smirk.
“Miles,” I huffed.
“Aight aight. Lo siento,” he held his hands up in defense.
“So am I gonna have to pry what's bothering you out of ya or?” he trailed off.
“I don't want you to think I'm with you just because of your money. I don't like it, it's so fucken stupid and it makes me feel sick,” I continued to rant moving about the room.
“Mami, hey hey, come er,” he walked forward gently grabbing me, pulling me out of my pacing. His hands rubbed up and down my upper arms as he whispered to me in spanish trying to calm me down.
“Why would you ever think that?” he asked with a frown.
“It's not just me. Other people say it,” I muttered.
“Did those other people know that you were with me when I had a whole total of two dollars to my name. Where my idea of an expensive date was a trip down to the seven eleven and a push bike ride to the lookout?” he asked reminiscing on when we had first gotten together.
“Well no,” I muttered.
“And do they know that you work an honest job and against my wishes pay for your own things. That you pay for what you think is half the rent when really I already bought the apartment and put that money into a savings account that I would have told you about when we had our first kid so you wouldn't stress about buying stuff for em?” my eyes widened slightly at Miles casually mention of not only lying to me about the rent but the talk of a kid. I should be really angry at him for lying to me. But all that was running through my head was a kid.
“You want kids?” I asked softly. We had never talked about kids before.
“Who wouldn't want a little you runnin round?” he asked with a small smirk. My chest flushed with warmth at the sincerity in his eyes.
“Why don't you?” he asked.
“Of course I wan- No wait. I'm getting distracted. You've been lying to me! MIlES!” I snapped.
“Mi amor you're angry, How about  we calm down,” He suggested his arms moving to encompass me.
“No, I will not calm down,” I huffed trying to get out of his hold.
“Ok,” he shrugged before tipping us back, myself hitting the bed and him flopping down atop me.
“Miles!” I yelled trying to wiggled out from under him.
“Hum?” he hummed, not moving an inch.
“God you can be so frustrating,” I huffed, giving up on my struggle.
“I'll get up when you calm down,” he muttered simply. I gave one last shake before huffing again.
“You know I read somewhere that adults who can't accept people buying nice stuff for them is because when they were a kid their parents would say stuff was too expensive. Messed with the kids mind and made them think they aren't worthy of being gifted stuff,” Miles mumbled. Hearing that my mind instantly snapped back to when I was young. Money was tight growing up. My parents tried their best to shield it from me but I was smart enough. Seeing my parents so worried about paying rent, I guess it could have left a mark.
“Stop trying to be smart,” I huffed. Miles was smart. Crazy smart. As in genius einstein smart.
“You deserve the world Mami. And I'm the one that's gonna give it to ya,” he whispered softly.
“I don't need the word Miles. I only need you,” I whispered my arms moving around to hug him, my hand gripping the back of his shirt. Rolling us onto our sides he shifted me up so we were looking at each other.
“Who else am I gonna spend my money on huh? I send a bunch to charities. I look after my mum as much as she will let me. At least you let me buy you stuff,” he muttered.
“Let you?” I propped an eyebrow.
“Yes Mi Vida. You let me, even though you try not to,” he grinned. I sighed, shaking my head reaching up to grab his face.
“I love you Miles. I love YOU, Not your money. Not this apartment. I would love you if you had not one penny to your name. You know that right?” I asked. I wanted him to know it. I needed him to know. For a long time he simply stared at me. In his mind he wondered what he had done to deserve the love of such an amazing woman. He knew I didn't care whether or not he had money. But the main reason why he did what he did, why he sold his tech was to make a life free of such worries.
“I know,” he whispered, his own hand reaching up to cup my face. “ So let me spoil you. The whole reason I did it all was to make a life free of the worry of money. To make a good life for us,” he whispered honestly. I pressed my lips together. He had a point.
“Fine. but only once a month,” I huffed.
“Once a month?” he asked, pretending to be appalled.
“Fine once a week,” I muttered. He grinned, pulling me into a sweet kiss. I smiled, trailing my finger down his chin as he pulled back.
“Say, you busy this evening?” he asked.
“Why?” I asked.
So there I sat. On the handlebars of Miles' old push bike. In one hand I held a slushy. I wore the biggest smile on my face as we rode through the town, my hair gently billowing in the wind. Looking back I caught a glimpse of one of Miles' genius true smiles. A smile so wide and toothy that it showed his dimples.
“You wanna know something?” I asked, turning back to the front. He hummed, signaling for me to continue.
“This has got to be the best date yet,” I said.
“I guess it's alright,” he mused.

Joel Miller Masterlist
Tumblr media
You'd basically begged your dad to let you come with you, despite being 23 years old, Joel still very much babied you. You sometimes wondered if he still thought of you as the same person that you had been at the start of the apocalypse, an innocent child entirely dependent on her father - He made you think that he couldn't come to terms that you had grown up in this world, having had your entire childhood robbed from you. But if you were being totally honest, you didn't really know anything other than this world, and that's why you thought you bonded with Ellie so well, thinking of her as your younger sister - A bittersweet thought for Joel, since you were a younger sister, even though you had no older sister anymore and were now older than her, it was funny, you were now older than your older sister. He liked to think you and Sarah would share the same bond at that age that you and Ellie do now, even as adults.
You looked over to the bed Ellie lay in as you heard her giggle to herself - That stupid joke book, you thought to yourself, but hey, it was the little things in this world. She looked over at you.
"Hey, do you wanna hear a joke?" She asked you. You turned over on your other side to look at Ellie and nodded, knowing that you didn't really have a choice in the matter. "Okay, Why did the scarecrow get a promotion?" She started.
"I don't know, why did the scarecrow get a promotion?" You amused her. Ellie giggled to herself before continuing on with her joke.
"Because he was outstanding in his field," You shook your head as Ellie continued giggling. There was something oddly comforting in her jokes, they reminded you of the ones your dad used to tell you when you were little when he was trying to get a smile out of you when you were grumpy. "Your dad doesn't find my jokes funny." Ellie whined. You laughed and shook your head, laying on your back.
"To be fair, your jokes are pretty bad," You broke the devastating news to her, hearing Ellie gasp, and you smiled in amusement.
"I, am gonna go to sleep now and pretend that you didn't say that," Ellie told you. "Goodnight, traitor." She said, trying to sound as offended as she possibly could.
"Goodnight, Ellie," You told her. You tried to go to sleep but felt a settling unease in your stomach that you couldn't explain. You knew you could never shake off your gut feeling, which was why you couldn't sleep. You couldn't seem to switch off, your brain running at a mile a minute, unable to shake off the unease settling in your stomach. The day had gone too well, considering your dad's reunion with your uncle Tommy had gone to plan, there hadn't been some catastrophic fuck up at all during the day, somehow unsettling you. Then came a thud from the front door. Quietly, you crept down the hallway towards the door, your body and breath shaking with each step you took. Another thud. This time, you didn't know if it was coming from the door or your heart thumping in your chest.
Thud.
Crash.
Before you had any time to think, a runner came launching through where the door once stood on its hinges, then sprinting towards you. You screamed out for your dad before being body slammed to the ground by the runner, trying your best to fend it off and protect yourself from being bitten.
"Dad!" You screamed out, fear evidently clear in your voice. Joel woke up at your screaming, immediately reaching for his gun as he ran out of bed and to the room that you and Ellie were sharing, where the aforementioned girl lay sound asleep. Running down the stairs, Joel found you fighting for your life. Without hesitation, Joel fired two shots into the back of the runner’s head. You quickly shoved the body off of you and scrambled to your feet, running to your dad and wrapping your arms around him. Joel let out a sigh of relief as he held you.
"It's okay, look at me, Y/N," Joel demanded softly. You met your father’s worried eyes with your tear-clouded ones. "Did it bite you?" He asked you, in a serious, yet comforting tone. You shook your head in response, rubbing your eyes of tears. It went quiet for a minute, only for it to be replaced by that terrifying clicking sound. More gunshots went off. Bang. Bang. It didn't matter how many times you experienced a hoard of infected, the fallout never ceased to terrify you. Joel knew that, feeling that your breathing had become quick and shallow. "Okay, go and get Ellie, we need to get out of here, okay?" Joel had both hands on your shoulders, looking you in the eyes. This was when he remembered that you deep down, were still a scared little girl.
"Okay," You said quietly, your voice trembling as you looked out of the front door, more gunshots ringing off in the distance. You went back upstairs to wake Ellie up, giving her a gentle shake at first. "Ellie come on, we need to go," You told her. She groaned in response, turning to her other side. "Ellie, I'm being serious. There are runners everywhere." Suddenly, the girl found the energy to get out of bed, quickly jumping into her shoes and slinging her red zipper on. You both ran down the stairs and out of the house, into the open air where herds of the infected runners overtook the commune. You looked around frantically for your dad or uncle Tommy, sighing in defeat when you found neither, deciding to quickly grab Ellie's hand and make a run for one of the trucks you could both take refuge in until it blew over. However, on yours and Ellie's beeline to the row of trucks, you heard one last gunshot ring out.
You stopped dead in your tracks. Everything had gone silent, but then it all came back, the blood rushing to your ears, Ellie yelling out for your dad, your dad calling out your name. You didn't know why, had something happened? Was there something behind you? And then you realized, the blissful unawareness of the gaping hole in your stomach dissipated, and was now replaced with excruciating pain.
"Joel!" Ellie cried out, her eyes filling with tears as she watched you collapse onto your back, hyperventilating as you clutched at your bloodied stomach. "Hurry!" She cried panickily, kneeling beside you. Joel came running over, skidding onto his knees beside you.
No, no, no! Sh-sh-sh-sh, okay, you're okay. Y-You're okay, move your hand, baby. Move your hand.
Memories of your sister’s death came flooding back to him, only it was you in the exact same position, 20 years later.
"Y/N, hey, come on, it's okay, look at me," Joel said loudly over your hyperventilating. "I need to pick you up baby, you're gonna be okay," He promised you, putting his arms under you, wincing as you cried out in pain.
I know, baby, I know, I know, I know, I know! I know it hurts. All right. Don't look down, look up, look up. Come on, baby. You're okay, you're okay…
You continued crying in pain as Joel ran back to the house, carrying you in his now blood-soaked shirt. You'd gone pale, shaking as you grasped at your dad's shirt. Tommy followed in suit as you were taken back to the house that the three of you had been allowed to stay in for the night before continuing your trail to finding the fireflies. Tommy swiped everything off of the table so Joel could lay you down on it. The commune's doctor came in with a first aid kit, rushing over to you.
"I need everyone out," She said, looking at your dad, Tommy, and Ellie. Joel wanted to scream at her. No. He wouldn't leave you alone. "Now, please, or she's going to die." The three had never left a room so quickly, but for Joel, everything was going in slow motion.
"I know, I know, I know, I know, baby. I know, I know! I know this hurts. You're gonna be okay. All right… Baby, baby, baby, listen to me—I gotta get you up, okay? I gotta get you up. All right? You c'mon. You c'mon."
You grabbed his arm the same way that she did - as if it were the only thing keeping you alive at that very moment. Joel sat down on the stairs, dropping his head into his hands, leaving Tommy and Ellie clueless about what to do. Tommy knew what Joel was thinking, he still remembered the night of the outbreak, remembered holding you, only 2 years old at the time - 4 days shy of your 3rd birthday - as your sister slowly died in your father’s arms.
She continually gasped, both for air and in pain as Joel tried to pick her up.
"I know, baby! No, no. I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know! Tommy, help me!"
Tommy watched on helplessly, holding an increasingly distressed you. Although you weren't quite old enough to comprehend what was going on, you knew it wasn't good - You could hear your sister crying and gasping, but Tommy held you chest to chest, you didn't need to see what was going on.
"Joel," Tommy said tearfully, looking over at his oldest brother and oldest niece, who now lay limp in her father’s arms. Joel looked back to his oldest daughter.
"C'mon, baby girl. C'mon, baby girl, I gotta get you up. C'mon! C'mon, we'll get up! C'mon, baby girl, wake up! C'mon… come—please," Joel gave up begging, collapsing to his knees in tears. Tommy put a hand on his brother’s shoulder, and it was then that Joel realized how distressed you were. "Give her here," Joel sniffled, rubbing his eyes and nose as he held his arms out for you. He held you close as you continued sobbing.
"Daddy," You cried, clinging to your father as though he was your lifeline. He put his hand on your back, trying not to let the tears in his eyes spill over as he rubbed your back.
"It's okay baby girl, daddy's here, I've got you," He assured you, sensing your fear. "It's all gonna be okay baby girl, I promise." Joel didn't know who he was assuring, him or yourself.
The tension was thick was the commune nurse came out of the dining room, coated in a layer of your blood. She made eye contact with Joel, remorse written on her face.
Oh, no.
You had ended up staying longer in Wyoming than the three of you had hoped for, but there was no way it could have been prevented, given that you had been put on ordered bedrest for at least 3 days, but Joel had made you do 4 - Just in case, he had said. Ellie had been more clingy with you than usual, which had reminded you that despite how hardened she liked to act, that she was still only a child who had been unfortunate enough to be born into this world.
You knew the night had been traumatic for your dad, resurfacing painful memories of Sarah's death, you didn't know if your dad would have recovered if he would have lost you in the same way he had lost her. Joel sighed as he watched you limp into the kitchen, holding your stomach as you did.
"Good morning," You said quietly, hobbling over to the chair so you could sit down. Joel shook his head at you and handed you a glass of water, and your last antibiotic. "Thanks." You popped the pill into your mouth and took a swig of water, then swallowing both.
"You're supposed to be in bed," He gently scolded you. "Another day resting won't kill you." He said. You sighed and shook your head, you knew why he was being like this, he just didn't want to lose you, he had already lost so much to this apocalypse.
"Dad, I'm fine, honestly," You assured him, looking up at him as he leaned against the kitchen counter. "Just still a bit sore." You said, rubbing your stomach as you moved. You had to be careful of how you moved, just in case you tore your stitches.
"Please go back to bed, baby," Joel pleaded with you. You knew he wouldn't relent in trying to get you back onto bed rest, you sighed in defeat and nodded. "Thank you, do you need me to carry you up the stairs?" He asked you. You blushed in embarrassment as you nodded - what 23-year-old still needed her dad to carry her to bed? Well, obviously you did since your large intestine had a slight tear in it. You whimpered slightly as he picked you up, and you saw the guilt immediately flood onto your dad’s face.
"'M fine," You mumbled, holding onto him as he carried you up to his bed. You didn't question it, but accepted it for you were in need of some comfort, and if sleeping in your dad’s bed gave you it, then so be it. You saw an amused smile on his face as you looked up at him, quirking a brow in confusion. “What?”                                                                                                                               "What's' Forrest Gump's password?" He asked you, a small smile on his face.
"Huh?" You asked, confused at who this Forrest Gump character was.
"1Forrest1," He finished. Then you realized - Ellie's jokebook, and how he used to tell you dad jokes when you were sad to try and cheer you up. You giggled at the joke as you looked at your dad. "You have no clue who that is, do you?" Joel asked you, laughing as you did.
"Not one at all, old man."

Make Your Move - Chapter 6
Noah Sebastian x Reader x Matt Dierkes
Tumblr media
A/N: She’s back! A little thing; a minimal scene in this chapter may seem similar to a sound deck scene in Unveiled Hearts by @thefallennightmare. I noticed it after I read her story (which I love), but I chose not to rewrite my scene. No copying here, just great minds thinking alike <3
Fic Summary: Find in Fic Masterlist
Content and Warnings for Ch. 6: Lots of fluff and more dating! AHH, some suggestive content, some smut 18+, hands stuff (hand job/fingering etc), almost caught, semi-public

After Noah and you had your late-night tryst in the showers of the venue, the walk back to the bus felt desolate. You walked alone through the hallways and into the dark, humid night as you exited the venue into its back alleyway.
The grin on your face wanted to stay there; you wanted to be elated that both of the men that you were attracted to wanted you. However, your face falls when you realize that Matt was right: you’re not being fully truthful to him, or Noah.
You feel it’s hard to swallow when you think back to just ten minutes ago. Noah asked what you wanted to speak to him about and you dodged the question. Wanting to believe that your brain was foggy from the sight of Noah’s body, and that kiss, was half of your reasoning for lying, but the other half is that you really couldn’t bear telling Noah the truth.
Outside of the bus, you pace the side of it while listing the options available to you: don’t tell the two men that you kissed both of them the same night and risk their friendship and your relationship with them once they find out, or do tell them and risk it all anyway.
Everything about the situation made you feel gross and at a loss. If only you told Noah about Matt’s confession, then maybe you wouldn’t feel like you’re on track to manipulating them both in the process.
“Why?” You yell out into the night, holding your head in your hands.
You calm your senses and walk to hop onto the bus to head to Nashville, Tennessee. While in bed, you finally decide you should come clean to both of them as soon as possible to save you the heartache. In contrast to your decision, you thought, why not indulge yourself in the fantasy you had never thought possible?
A constant buzzing tone from your phone wakes you in the morning; you turn over in your bunk to grab it while noticing the bus isn’t moving. You must be outside of the Nashville venue already.
Without checking the caller ID, you hold the phone close to your ear and mumble, “Hello?”
“Good morning, loser, get out of bed,” Matt's voice is loud in your ear. You pull your phone away from your head and wipe the sleep from your eyes before responding.
“You’re such a bully, let me sleep,” you whine and check the time. Ten AM. It’s a bit later than when you would usually wake up. “Where are you?”
“I’m finishing a run with Noah. I’m on my way back to the venue, but he decided to go the extra mile,” he answers.
“Oh,” you’re lucky the fact that you just woke up can hide the lack of enthusiasm in your voice. You hope with everything in you that they didn't share the things they did with you the night before. They could have been laughing at you. They could’ve been plotting to “dump” you. They could be planning to fire you from the tour. Clenching your eyes closed to push back these intrusive thoughts you finally respond, “Sounds fun.”
“Yeah, it was,” he says, unfazed by your tone. “Anyway, I called because I was wondering if you had plans at, let’s say, noon?”
“Yes, I plan to rot in bed with my phone six inches from my face until they need us to work later,” you explain, matter-of-factly.
“So you’re saying you wouldn't want to go out on a date with me?”
This shocks you awake and you sit up on your bunk. The crown of your head bumps the top of the enclosed space, “Ouch, fuck!”
Matt laughs over the phone, but questions, “You good?”
“Yeah, I just banged my head on the top of my bunk.” You rub the throbbing spot on your head as you return to reality, “You’re asking me out?”
“Yup,” he pops the “P” in the word. Even though he isn’t there with you, you can just see the smug look on his face. “There’s a hot chicken place I’ve been wanting to try since we’re in Nashville and I thought I should finally take you out. You know, just you and me, like we said.”
You never thought that this day would come, but you remember your decision to be open and honest with the two boys. This would be the first time you addressed the elephant in the room, “Does it still bother you that I went out with Noah a few days ago?”
He hums softly. “I’m getting over it. I did give you two permission,” he says. “But, I figured, since I told you how I felt last night… and our kiss,” he pauses again, “you would want to start hanging out with me, too. Just not as friends.”
You bite your lip and sway in your bunk. “You want to date me,” you sing in his ear, teasingly.
“Don’t make me take it back, Y/N,” he grumbles.
“Okay, okay! Yes, I’ll go out with you,” you say quickly. “I’ll be ready at 11:45! Is it close by?”
“Sure is, we can walk there together. Wear something cute,” you can hear the smirk in his voice again.
“I will,” you sing. “Matt?”
“Hm?”
“Are you going to let me hold your hand?” You ask, hopefully.
“Maybe, if you’re good,” he laughs before hanging up the phone.
You’re dressed up in your favorite casual date outfit. It’s only a few minutes until you need to meet Matt outside the bus.
Adjusting your hair and accessories, you look into the bus bathroom mirror. The jitters that have shaken your body since the moment he asked out over the phone have not stopped, and really, it’s getting worse. You have to keep your jaw clenched to keep your teeth from chattering. The only thing that can help you is seeing him.
You huff and head down the hallway to the front room. Jolly and Folio sit on the couch on their phones, relaxing.
“Hey, beautiful,” Jolly says. “Where are you going?”
Folio looks up from his phone too, “Yeah? Damn, you look good, I like that outfit.”
Your cheeks flush at their compliments, but you realize you don’t feel comfortable with them knowing that you have been on a date with Noah and are now going on one with his best friend. “I’m going for lunch with Matt,” you tell them a half-truth. Lying seems to be in your repertoire these days.
“Oh, cool. Where are y’all going?” They say in unison.
“It’s a hot chicken restaurant he knows about,” you tell the truth.
“Shit, that sounds good. Could we come with y’all?” Folio asks, excitedly.
Folio, please. “I would love that, but we're going to do some catching up as friends,” you give him a sorry smile and offer to take him there another day while you’re still in town.
“It’s all good,” he shrugs. ‘Y’all have fun.”
You wave them goodbye, “See you later for the show boys.”
“Bye, Y/N!” They sing as you exit the bus onto the concrete of the venue alley.
Matt leans on the brick wall of the venue looking at his sneakers.
“Hey, handsome,” you compliment him. His outfit is different than usual. It’s not that different, however, you could tell he had his idea of a casual date outfit, too. Your chest flutters at the thought of him getting ready for you.
Matt looks up at you at the sound of your voice. A smile slowly creeps on his lips and builds to a toothy, shit-eating grin.
“I see you wore a clean, oversized tee today,” you tease him while looking him up and down. “And, camo cargo pants? That’s so hot.”
“Shut up,” he rolls his eyes. “I think that I look best without clothes, but I dont think Hattie B’s would allow that,” he jokes.
You tend to agree with that statement. He looks like a God when he is down to a pair of fitted boxer briefs. Besides the other features of his physique, below the belt, you’ve only ever taken a good look at his ass. You know that your life would be over if Matt were ever to catch you ogling his bulge, so even after countless sleepovers and pool days, you have no clue what he might be packing.
“Is that the restaurant we’re going to?” You ask as he comes to your side to start your walk.
“Mhm,” he hums. “By the way, you look,” you catch him sneaking a glance over to you, “amazing.”
“Thanks, babe,” you nudge his shoulder.
A ghost of a smile makes his lip curl upwards. He doesn't want you to notice, but you do. “I’m already regretting sharing my feelings with you,” he grunts before taking his hand in yours. His thumb rubs over the top of it softly and you smile to yourself as you walk down the city sidewalk, side by side.
“Can you order for me, Matt? I need to use the restroom,” you ask him.
“Yeah, I know what you like,” Matt agrees while staring up at the menu overhead at the ordering counter.
That was something that you loved about him and something you wouldn't get from Noah, not at this point. Matt remembers everything. The second you tell him you love something, your goals, even something you're just remotely interested in it’s like he has a notes app page open about it. Matt tends to order your food for you when you go out back at home, but if you order he’ll speak up for you if you’re too shy to ask for something specific.
“Could I have three chorizo breakfast tacos, please?” You would ask at your two’s favorite taco shop on Sunday mornings. Matt would give you a stare and a subtle head tilt to mention your customization, but when you don't.
“With salsa on the side. Not on top, please. She doesn't like it,” he would say for you before handing over his card.
You haven't realized it until now, looking into the bathroom mirror, but you have been comparing the two men you've been involved with and you don't like it. It’s not like you should have the privilege of comparing either of them anyway. Your choice to have one, for peace, is completely null. You could only hope to enjoy your time with the two of them until everything goes to hell.
Enough, you say to yourself roughly. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy your date. You wash your hands with warm water; the temperature change and the sweet scent from the soap soothes your senses.
You walk back out into the restaurant lobby and spot Matt sitting alone at a booth. His leg bounces up and down as he looks out the building window.
Walking up to sit across from him, he jokes, “You didn’t fall in did you?”
You giggle and get settled in your seat, “No, I was just nervous, I guess. I was taking a second to myself.”
“How do you feel now?” Matt reaches across the table from you and holds his hand in yours.
“Better,” you smile. He continues tracing circles with the pad of his thumb on your hand just like he did on your way here. Just on the soft skin of your palm, this time. “So, what did you order me?”
“I got you the mild spicy sandwich with fries. I think I got us a side of mac and cheese to share,” Matt purses his lips. “I got myself the hot sandwich with fries. You can try mine, but I know you’re not too into spicy stuff,” he shrugs.
You both speak at the same time.
“Thank you–” “Unless, it’s books–
“Matt,” you squeeze his hand in yours while making “What the fuck?” eyes to him. Ducking your head, you look around the restaurant to make sure no one overheard him. “Don't talk about my book.”
“You read it in public,” he says matter of factly. “I can talk about something that you do in public.”
“Reading on the bus isn't in public,” you defend. Heat travels up your neck to your cheeks like it usually did when Matt and you got on to the topic of sex. It happens often, and you hate that you don't mind it.
He shrugs and starts to laugh at himself. “I’ve Googled the title, by the way, I know what you've been reading about, Y/N.”
You decide to play his game. After over a year of dealing with him, you have found that the best way to combat his taunting is to do it right back. “Oh, really,” you tilt your head at him. “What is it about then? Describe it to me.”
Matt lets go of your hand and adjusts his hat. This is his common tell that he would rather change the subject, but in proper Matt fashion, he wants to play with you. “If I remember correctly,” he pauses while looking up at the ceiling, “It’s about a woman who moves into the house next door to this hot guy. Hot guy is a boudoir photographer? She does his marketing in exchange for him to teach her how to fuck. I stole your copy to check for myself and I remember the guy laying her out on top of a counter—”
“Uhm, I have the mild and hot sandwiches with a side of mac and cheese?” The woman delivering your food squeaks out.
“That’s us, thank you,” Matt coughs out.
“Thank you,” you say as they start to dart away from your table.
You and him stare into each other’s eyes with blank faces waiting for the employee to walk far enough away before you can react.
Once they have walked through the swinging door to the kitchen Matt is in hysterics laughing across from you. His keeling over the side of the table just so you can see the pleasure on his face a bit closer.
“Why did you just explain my sex book in front of the employee?” You cover your face with your hands.
“You asked me to! You did this to yourself,” he continues to chuckle while shoving a fry into his mouth.
“Also, I haven't got to the part you’re talking about, so thanks for the spoiler,” you huff before also taking a fry and shoving it in your mouth. “Shit, this is good,” you moan and relax your shoulders.
“Is that how you moan when—”
“Matt, I’m on my knees—,” you glare at him before he can interrupt you. “I’m begging you, could we please talk about something else?”
“Sure,” he calms and starts eating. “I wanted to thank you for saying “yes” to coming out with me.”
“What do you mean?”
“I was nervous that you might just want to see how things go with Noah,” he admits.
“Matt, I have had the biggest crush on you since, like, a month into knowing you? There’s no way I would pass up the opportunity for a date. I just—”
“What’s wrong?”
Here we go. “I just don't want everyone to know that I’ve been on a date with Noah and you. I feel sleazy.”
“It’s going out. It’s innocent,” he shrugs and bites into his sandwich. Talking with his mouth full, “You let me know if anyone tries giving you shit for it. I’ll beat their ass.” He swallows his bite. “If it will make you feel better, I don’t mind you saying that we’re doing stuff as friends. I’ll do the same. It’s pretty normal for us to be alone since people know we've known each other for a long time.”
Thank God. “I’m glad you feel that way,” you start. “Something happened with Noah. I need to—,”
“Tell me later?” He interrupts and then shakes his head, “Sorry, I don’t want to talk about him on our date. I just want to hear about you.”
“Okay,” you nod. Fuck, don’t take the out. You need to tell him, you think. “Yeah, sorry.”
“It’s ok,” he smiles. “Here, try this sauce. Shit’s good.”
You and Matt spend the next hour at the restaurant eating and chatting away. He feeds you fries and lets you try his sandwich. Which ultimately, as he predicted, would make you chug your drink down to get another refill.
He asks you to tell him about your aspirations again as your legs are intertwined with his underneath the table. He always listens to you so intently with a furrowed brow. It’s intimidating as all you want to do is impress him. However, Matt has never made you apologize for being yourself: for liking what you like, or for dreaming big dreams.
He reminds you of his goals in life and your chest has that familiar tingle by the way his face glows when he talks about them. He shows you his favorite pictures of his dogs that you have seen time and again. He gives you countless, soft-spoken affirmations and praise about how you look, the jokes you tell him, and your work ethic. He tells you how great you’ve been doing at your job. He’s proud of you and date Matt, romantic Matt… isn’t afraid to show it.
You feel loved. He’s in love with you.
Matt invited you to watch the show from the sound deck again tonight.
You agreed, excitedly, the butterflies in your stomach have yet to die down after your first date with him this afternoon. The smile on his face wouldn’t dissipate either.
The crew teased about how sweet he treated them when you two came in to check up on them after returning from getting lunch.
“What’s got you so excited, Dierkes?” Kooter, Bad Omen’s drum tech, teased from behind Matt while massaging his shoulders.
“Fuck off, go help Folio,” Matt said, brushing Kooter off. His tone showed itself to be negative, however, you love the way his lips turned up at the ends as he turned back to face you. His eyes smile too as they meet yours as if to say, “You’re what I’m excited about, Y/N.”
The crew set everything up as organized and as detailed as it would be if you two were there to manage the process, and the gig began as usual.
Later in the night, you stand at Matt’s side in the sound deck to prepare for Bad Omens to begin their set of the night. It would be two whole days since you would return to work after spending some time in Nashville before moving on to the next tour stop. Looking around the room, you take it all in, to save the excitement and fulfillment that your job brings to you every night. Fans line and lean over the railings of the balcony seats at both sides of the room; chatting and patiently waiting for the band’s introduction to the stage.
A group of women, around your age, stand in front of the sound deck barrier. They're laughing and taking pictures and you hear one of them dare another to ask Matt for a photo, too. He doesn't seem to notice, but the women catch your curious stare, they nod and motion for you to tap on his shoulder. You take a step closer to him, “Matt, do you want to take a picture?” You ask while lightly tugging on the sleeve of his shirt to get his attention.
He turns to you, immediately. “Yeah,” He smiles and begins to pull his phone from his jogger’s pocket.
“Oh, sorry, not with me,” you giggle, patting his arm. “Them,” you nod your head the ladies waiting hopefully and excitedly across from you two.
“Oh, sure,” he smile falls a tad, but returns to assure you. “I’ll be right back, okay? Then there’s something I want to show you.” He steps off to the side closer to the metal barrier that separates the crowd and yourselves and you watch as the group’s faces light up at him. They cover their mouths in excitement and mouth to each to “be chill or be calm”. It’s hard to read their lips.
The way they feel right now is how you would be reacting to meeting him or Noah in an alternative universe where Matt and you had never met on that walk that one day. Every time you're invited back to the sound deck, you feel like a fan again.
Matt says, “Have fun!” to the group and returns to your side. “So, I was thinking about something cool you could do if you’re interested?”
“Sure,” you raise an eyebrow at him as he walks a couple of feet over to the lighting board on the table.
“Do you want to control the lights during the Concrete Jungle call and response thing?” He pats the console.
“What? Me?” You say, shocked, yet excited. “Hell yes, but what if I mess it up?”
“It’s super easy, not even you could mess it up,” he teases and you give him an eye roll. “I swear. All you have to do is control these two faders; up for brightening down for dimming, and you just lead the crowd to chant “Jun-gle” using the lights. You’ve seen it almost every night for the past week, you’ll be fine.”
“I’ll do it,” you nod slowly.
“Here, practice,” he grabs your hands to rest them on the correct sliders on the board. He’s soft when he guides your fingers to push the sliders upward, slowly, which gradually brightens the lights overhead the stage. Various groups of fans cheer in the crowd for the lighting, hopeful it’s a sign for their show to begin. Matt guides your fingers back down the board and the lights dim to black again. “Now, do it yourself, just faster,” he leans back on his foot and crosses his arms over his chest watching you experiment with the sliders.
“Ok,” you let out a quick breath. Your heart beats fast in your chest, but you would have time to settle your nerves as you wouldn’t have to do this until Dethrone, their final song of the night. “I think I have the hang of it.”
“Good, because that’s all you,” he says. “Sometimes I forget that you're a fan of all of this. I want you to have more of these experiences,” Matt leans in close to your ear, in hopes only you would hear him. “I know I can be an ass, but you deserve to have the time of your life on this tour. I want this to work out.”
“Yeah, I know,” you squish his cheeks with your fingers. He reels back and swats your hand away, but laughs with you before returning to his soundboard and set up. Once he’s out of earshot, you mumble, “I want all of this to work out too, believe me.”
You sang to yourself and danced at a volume that wouldn’t take Matt's or fans' attention from the stage as you stand with him tonight.
While you were still reeling from your day with Matt, you still missed Noah. Your heart yearned for them equally, although it is hard to forget the six words that came out of Matt’s mouth last night. “I’m in love with you, Y/N.” It has been on repeat all day.
The nights you weren’t invited into the sound deck you would stand sidestage and would get hyped up with Folio as he passed you funny looks from his drum throne. Noah would partake in the antics, too, when it wouldn’t take away from his performance. Like: Having dance-offs with you when the audience thinks he’s dancing alone, or giving you eyebrows and a smirk at certain parts of his lyrics, and when he undresses down to a tank top mid-set.
Tonight, you don’t have to hide your gaze on his hands as he lifts his overshirt above his head. The way the muscles in his back and biceps flex involuntarily by the motion makes you shutter.
It was the same feeling you felt the first time watching him live. The bass of his growls coming through the stage monitors vibrate in your chest and makes your thighs clench. Sometimes, you wonder how long he can hold his breath as he holds on to notes and screams. You imagine his tattooed hands spreading and gripping your thighs apart uneager to come up for air as he feasts on your aching cunt.
Matt can’t hear your thoughts even standing a few feet from you, but you feel like he can so you sneak cautious glances over at him when these delicious thoughts pass through your mind to he if he reacts in any way.
The show was coming up to ‘Dethrone’. Noah has nearly finished his first encore of the night and you take your place in front of the lighting board with your fingers touching lightly on the sliders Matt showed you earlier.
While waiting patiently for Noah’s cue to you, he finds your eyes in the sound deck. His dark eyes match yours directly. Surely, he can’t be looking at you? You wonder. You feel like a fan in the crowd who’s just made eye contact with their favorite band member for the first time. He nods at you, and then he begins.
“Concrete,” he growls into the mic before ticking his fore and middle fingers at you twice.
“Jungle!” You slide the light faders in tandem and they glow above the stage with each syllable the crowd screams.
Noah and you go back and forth. His eyes never leave yours, even as he paces back and forth on the stage, and he successfully directs you through his chant. The room is packed as it’s a sold-out show, but you feel as though it’s only you two present.
He tosses you a proud smile as he begins ‘Dethrone’ and it makes your legs melt.
Fuck, he’s so hot. Distracted by him, you hadn’t realized the number of times he had unintentionally made you blush and make the hairs on your neck rise. Let alone let you realize the growing need for him building up fast in your abdomen. You want any part of him, and preferably more than a kiss tonight.
You watch him perform their final song in awe; you can imagine your tongue rolling out of your mouth and drooling onto the pit floor.
After fans have fully exited the venue, you’re left with Matt in the sound deck with a couple of other guys from the crew.
You catch Matt yawning and he asks, “Are you sleepy yet?”
“I’ve found I have a lot of energy after each show. I’m gonna stay up for a bit,” you explain. Your lying streak made this fib too easy to tell. While you had a lot of energy, it wasn’t because of the music or the atmosphere, it was because of Noah. Impulsive thoughts appear like demonic ghouls floating around in your head whenever your sexual needs aren’t met. You wanted so badly to throw yourself at Noah the second you saw him next; to re-do your first kiss? To go even further? However, you can’t, if Matt is to be too close tonight. He was learning to be okay with you having gone on a date with Noah, but you’re unsure of his reaction if he were to find out about you doing anything more.
“I want to try to get to the showers first, but I should get all of this down so we don’t have to worry about it in the morning,” he stretches.
“Go and shower, get to bed,” you rub Matt’s shoulder with care. “I’m gonna stay here and help out.”
“M’Kay,” he yawns again. “Goodnight, Y/N. Make sure my stuff gets packed up real nicely. You’re the only one I trust.”
“Yes sir,” you give him a faux salute as he walks off toward the back of the venue. You smile at him, but your stomach lurches. He trusts you. He’s in love with you! I am being manipulative, you think guiltily.
You spend around forty-five minutes tearing down the sound deck making sure to pack Matt’s equipment, cords, wires, and laptops carefully away. You handled his things with care, even though you were half-distracted by the throbbing between your legs.
“Y/N,” a male voice calls from behind you.
It’s a crew member’s voice. Their usual lighting and production tech who helps Matt in the sound deck. “Hm?” You turn around to meet his face.
“Go ahead and wind down for the night. We’ll take care of the rest,” he nods toward the back of house. “Thanks for helping.”
“Of course, anytime. Goodnight everyone,” you set what you’re working on down and start walking toward Bad Omen’s green room with a sense of urgency.
Once inside, you grab your bag, your nighttime relaxation clothes, and the clean towel you pack in case you want to take a late-night shower. Tonight you do, but you doubt you’re going to be doing your wash routine.
Please be in here and alone. Please.
“Noah, are you in here?” You call out his name as you push open the door to the showers. The layout of the room is more like a locker room than the past showers you have used at other venues. One side of the room is lined with sizable shower stalls with floor-length curtains for privacy, while the other side of the room has a wall of lockers and benches. On them, you notice Noah’s backpack and nicely folded clothing. His boots sit together underneath the glossy, wooden bench.
“I’m in the second stall,” he talks over the sound of the steaming water raining down over him. A light mist rises over the top of his curtain and dissipates as it hits the ceiling. You can’t see him the way you could the night before.
You bite your lip anxiously. What are you doing? You ask yourself. Your body feels hot by how turned on you are and it keeps you warm as you strip yourself naked. Pulling your panties down your legs, you notice a prominent wet spot accumulated by the pool of your arousal. You stuff all of your belongings into an empty locker and softly click it closed.
His name falls from your lips before you can catch it, “Noah?”
It wasn’t in your plan for him to poke his head through the curtain, but he does. “Yeah?” His voice is innocent, but his eyes widen once he sees the sight of you. Your arms bravely stick to your sides to allow him to gain you in full. “Shit,” he hisses under his breath while making haste with the outline of your body. You watch his eyes roam you as you stand there in heavy silence before he opens the curtain a little more to invite you inside. “You’re so damn beautiful,” he says as you stand in front of him. Once you’re in the stall, you feel like his eyes will never leave yours. So, if you tried to sneak a peek anywhere but his face, he would most definitely know.
“Thank you,” your cheeks feel hot. “Is it okay if I shower with you?”
“Mhm,” he nods and hums. His low tone reverberates against the walls of the shower stall. “I was hoping you would. You have no idea the thoughts that have been running through my head since last night.”
His admission makes you feel tingly. “I hope I’m not moving too fast. This feels so out of character for me,” you shake your hands out.
“I want to move as slow or as fast as you do,” he confides to you in a low tone. His fingers reach to the crook of your neck and trace down your shoulder, to your bicep, to your forearm, and rest to intertwine with your fingers.
“You looked so good on stage tonight,” you admit as you look up at him with shining eyes. “Every night, I watch you perform, and it—,”
“And what?” Noah steps into your bubble. The tips of your breasts just barely graze his skin.
“I get so turned on,” you’re nearly talking into his clavicle. He slightly shutters as your breath hits his skin. “Noah, I’m so pent up, it hurts.”
“I can help,” he nods and his wet bangs sway. You watch the water from his hair drip onto your chest. The varying temperature makes you shiver. He notices this. “Get yourself wet first,” he instructs while switching places with you for you to stand under the running shower head.
You run your hands through your hair and close your eyes to enjoy the heat. You feel the same tickly feeling on your breasts that you always feel around him, so you open your eyes to catch his gaze from your tits when you admit, “Noah, I swear I’m already wet.”
His laugh and toothy smile make you warm inside, as much as the hot water warms your skin on the outside. He leans in close to press a kiss into your cheek, “I want to feel how wet you are, Y/N. But first, I want you to look at me. I give you permission,” his shoulders shake as he laughs at you trying your best to look at every shiny tile that lines the stall rather than his nude form.
When he backs away, your eyes trail his body. The freckles on his shoulders are the first of what you see. You reach out to touch them, but his hands come to your bare hips to push you slowly until you’re both underneath the warm, running water. The water moves in slow motion and you follow it with your eyes as it hits his chest and drips lower to his stomach. His waistline is spotted with water droplets. You take one last big breath before letting your gaze fall to his groin. He’s half hard and the tattoos around his lower stomper and thighs surround his member like he’s a work of art. Your shoulders shake a tiny bit when you chuckle at the sight of his wet leg hair and impatient toes that are dancing, waiting for you to look back up at his face.
You look up to meet Noah’s eyes, but you can’t help but sneak glances at his lips. “You’re so beautiful,” you whisper to him as you wrap your hands behind his neck and pull him down into your kiss.
He hums against your lips as if to thank you. Noah’s arms wrap around your body as you detach and reattach to his mouth in fervor. He scratches your back with his nails and grips the skin of your back. He tastes so good, so fresh. Your tongues fight each other for dominance and you win.
Noah groans when he feels your hand caress down his stomach and slowly makes its way to wrap around his half-hard cock. He feels so warm in your hand like he’s blushing down there. You open your eyes while making out with him and his cheeks are glowing pink. The sight of his dick on your small hand gives you raging confidence and makes your heart burst.
You begin to stroke him while kissing him. He grows harder in your hands and grows longer, and thicker. You move your lips and teeth and attach them to the side of his neck as he allows heavy breaths to fall from his lips. “I like the way your cock hardens in my hand,” you moan in his ear.
Noah grips your ass and it makes you pull away from his neck to whine. “I like that,” he moans. “So fucking much, you don’t even know. But, I want to help you. You can make me cum another time.”
You bite your lip and nod.
“Spread your legs, just a little bit,” he commands in a low tone. You spread your legs apart and he praises, “Yeah, just like that.”
He dips his head to your left breast and latches on, tongue first, to the nipple while kneading your other breast with his hand fingers. Water splashes off to the sides of the shower as he presses himself into you.
“Ah,” you whine when his dominant hand leaves your chest to snake between your bodies to your core. The pads of his fingers find your clit and give you a firm press before sliding through your folds, curiously.
Your dazed eyes meet Noah’s as he pulls his hand from your cunt to show you the clear, slimy juices that drool down his fingers. “I really do turn you on, huh?” He boasts before sticking his fore and middle fingers between his lips and lapping your arousal away.
“Mhm,” you moan at the sight of him licking his fingers clean.
Noah plays with your nipples with his empty hand while the right one is brought back to your pussy. “Do you remember when I heard you say my name?”
“Hm?” You’re dizzy and can’t fully think of what he’s referring to.
“The second night of the tour. The morning after, I asked you if you needed to ask me a question because I heard you say my name,” he explains while rubbing your clit in expert figure-eights. “Noah.”
Your eyes shoot open and meet his eyes, but they’re attached to your lips. “I was touching myself. Thinking about you,” you admit while whining on his fingers.
Suddenly, his fingers pinch your clit gently, but with enough force to make you cry out, “Noah.” The pain makes you shutter and collapse against his form.
“I’ve been waiting to hear my name come from your perfect lips again,” he chuckles while pinching your nipples at the same time. “Good girl. Now, tell me what you were thinking about.”
“I was thinking about, fuck,” you grind against his hand as he releases your clit to palm your cunt. “I brought my favorite sex toys with me. I was imagining you using them on me.”
“We can do whatever you want,” he speaks low into your ear before kissing your neck. His longest fingers prod your entrance and tease your pussy with quick, shallow pumps. The palm of his hand presses firmly into your clit and you grab his forearm for balance. You feel it flex under your fingers. “Do you want to cum on my fingers?”
“Yes, please, I need you—,” you squeak out.
The sound of the locker room door swinging open causes Noah to turn you around and press your back against his chest. His hard cock rests against your ass and you want to grind on him so badly, to make him feel good too.
“Noah, could I borrow your phone charger? I’ve lost mine already,” you hear Nick call out to Noah from the entrance of the room.
Noah covers your mouth with his hand and you breathe softly through your nose. His other hand cautiously rubs circles on your throbbing, aching clit as he responds, “Yeah, Nick, that’s fine. You can find it in the second pocket of my backpack.”
You start to grind up against Noah feeling his dick harden against your skin, again, and his hand pressing hard into your private region. You need relief.
Nick’s footsteps echo through the room, and you can feel your heartbeat matching the pace of his steps; so quick and to the point.
Noah continues his movements but goes a bit further to test the waters. He uses his weight to hike you up a bit further and you get the sign to stand on your tiptoes and bend your knees just a bit. Noah reaches his fingers between your thighs again and dips them in your slick cunt, slowly.
Your eyes roll back into your head, and you do your best to stay silent. You hope the running shower can hide how your breath hitches as Noah curls his fingers inside of you, stretching you out.
“Nick, when you find it,” Noah’s voice vibrates against you, “you can keep it. I have two others in my bunk.”
“Thanks, man. I got it now. Good night!” Nick says before you hear his steps towards the door and the door closing behind him.
With Nick gone, you moan against Noah’s palm on your mouth freely. His fingers are slim, but they’re so long and reach the best spots inside of you. His thumb rubs your clit as he fucks you with his fingers.
“Such a good girl for staying quiet,” he praises and removes his hand from fully covering your mouth only to prod your lips with his fingers to stuff them between your teeth. “Now, be loud for me.”
His name is broken as you try to say it, “No-ahhhhh, ple—please!” Your eagerness for full relief drives you to grind harder on his fingers, so much, you're bouncing on them and doing the work for him.
Noah supports your hips so you don’t slip on the wet tile. “I know, I know,” he says daringly while kissing the crown of your head. “Go ahead and cum, you deserve it.”
“Fuck, thank you—,” you hiss as you reach up and tangle your fingers up into the back of his hair. You release on his fingers and he hooks them to repeatedly hit your G-spot as you ride through your high.
“That was so hot,” he praises into your ear. “But, let’s try not to get caught again, yeah?”
“Yeah,” you laugh as you stand while holding the wall for support.
“Let me clean you up. We still need to actually take our showers,” he holds your waist and pulls you back into the water.
“Are the showers going to start being our new meeting place?” He chuckles as wraps your fresh towel around your shoulders. The one you stuffed into the locker when you came in. You patted yourself on the back for remembering to do it or else Nick would have definitely known you two were hearing together.
“Maybe,” you shrug at him with a smile. While you enjoyed your private meetings, you also wished you could say and do everything you wanted to you with him in front of everyone else. You could feel that keeping things secret was starting to get harder on your mental health. Sex is the main thing you don't mind keeping behind closed doors.
Noah’s head pops up as if he has had an epiphany. “Do you want to go on another date before we go to sleep?”
“Of course!” you match his excitement with your arms loosely wrapped around his waist.
“Good, because I already have an idea of where can go,” Noah reaches into the front pocket of his backpack to retrieve his phone. You peak at his screen as he opens his Yelp account and searches for the best milkshakes nearby.
Noah sits across from you in a black hoodie covering his hair. His lips are wrapped around one of the white and red striped bendy straws in your shared cookies and cream milkshake. He giggles as you pull out your phone to take a picture of him and his hand comes to cover your phone camera.
You playfully fight his hand away while snapping a couple of shaky pictures. “I need more pictures of you!” You whine. “You took so many of me when we were in Boston.”
“We can take one together,” he pulls his phone out of his hoodie pocket and angles it towards your faces. You both take a sip from the shake and he takes a picture. He looks at it before showing you, “You’re so cute.”
“Mhm,” you hum, sipping through your straw. This milkshake was definitely in the top three of all you have ever had. Noah knows how to pick good places.
“So, tell me,” he sits up a little higher in his seat before leaning forward. “Everything. Everything about you that you didn't day on our first date.”
“Noah, it’s past midnight,” you chuckle, but he still looks at you with eager eyes. He wants to know you. Everything about you. You mentally note that one day you could reach the level of comfort that Matt and you have, and you want to try to get there with Noah. “We have the next two days to talk, too,” you kick your legs in excitement and he smiles when they brush him. It’s pretty easy to touch him; his long legs take up the majority of the space under the tiny table you’re sitting at. “What should we do with all of our free time?”
“I have one idea of how we can spend a lot of our time together,” he shrugs and gives you a knowing smile.
“What?” You giggle with your tongue on the straw.
“You could share a bed with me at the hotel we get to stay in for the next two nights,” he suggests.
Your eyebrows raise in intrigue, “Mmm.”
“We would have to have one other person to share our room with us for the room costs to be worth it, but I would get to sleep next to you for real, instead of across from you,” he plays with his hands over the table.
“We’ve slept next to each other every night on the bus,” you think out loud. “I would feel comfortable with that, I think.”
Noah moves his fidgeting to the strings of his hoodie. You love to watch how nervous he gets talking to you. It’s charming. “I really like the way we talk to each other across the short space between us when everyone else is asleep,” he admits and you pout your lip at him in awe. “I’ve never told you this, but sometimes I’ll stay up and watch you sleep when you forget to close your curtain.”
You lean forward and rest your hand on your cheek.
“Also, because I stay up,” he sips on his straw. “That’s how I knew about— you know?”
You gulp down the shake in your mouth so as not to choke on it. He’s referencing what he reminded you of earlier in the shower. Noah. “Oh, yeah, that.” Your face heats up.
One of his hands shoots towards your open hand resting on the table. “That didn’t bother me by the way,” he reassures. “I’m flattered, honestly. Feel free to think about me all the time.”
You giggle before watching his fingers interlace with yours.
“You make me really excited, Y/N. I haven’t thought about being in a relationship with anyone for a long time. I feel so preoccupied with so many other things, but when I think about that with you… it feels possible.”
“Noah, that feels so good to know,” you say softly, it’s almost a whisper. You feel vulnerable now. “You have no idea how much of a dream it is to get to know you that way I had when I was just a fan three months ago.”
“I love that you’re a fan, but you’re also my equal. I was pulled into you the second I saw you. I still think back to us sitting on the patio bench at the L.A. studio together,” he squeezes your hand.
“Me too,” you agree. You two sit in comfortable silence for a beat.
“You don’t have to tell me everything I need to know about you, yet,” he chuckles. But, before we go back, can I ask you two questions?”
You push the empty shake glass to the side and hold both of his hands in the center of the table. “I’ll do my best.”
“That’s all I want,” he says. “First, do you say yes to at least rooming with me at the hotel the next two nights?”
“Yes,” you nod with an excited smile. Whether you’ll have to live with the consequences of your answer or not, you’ll see.
“Lucky me,” he smiles. “Second—,” he takes his time to continue, “what are you looking for with your time with me? Is it just fun, a relationship… I want to know.”

Something So Wholesome About You
(Miles Morales x GN Reader)
Tumblr media
category: fluff blurb
summary: reader finds Miles’ sketchbook, learns two secrets of his.
warnings: snooping, so…much…fluff… dies, literal cringe and it makes me sick, awkward love confession
word count: 0.6k
A/N: the idea of snooping in someone’s sketchbook without them knowing physically pains me as an artist DON'T DO IT!!!
You were making your way over to the Morales household, it was summer break and you’ve been spending almost every second weekend over at their house. You get to their apartment, taking the stairs up to their floor. You check your phone as you walk to their unit, making sure Miles didn’t have to go anywhere last minute.
You knock on the door, your hands shoved inside the pockets of your pants as you wait for someone to open it.
“Who is- oh hello!” Mrs Morales opens the door, instantly recognizing your face.
“Hola Mrs Morales” you smile, giving a small wave as she invites you in.
Your eyes scan the apartment for any sign of Miles, but you don’t see him.
“Is Miles here?” you ask, taking off your shoes and putting them on the shoe rack.
“In his room” she smiles, going back into the kitchen.
“Thanks” you smile back, heading to his room.
You open the door, looking inside your best friend’s all too familiar bedroom. You don’t see him, so you frown as you take a seat on his bed, setting down your backpack. You wonder if he’s just in the bathroom, so you grab your phone and send him a text.
“I’m here!” you message him, waiting on a response.
You put your phone back into your bag, looking around again. Your eyes land on his sketchbook, and even though you know you shouldn’t snoop, he was your best friend and you were interested in what he’s been up to.
You open his sketchbook, and at first, it’s filled with his normal graffiti art. But as you skim through the pages, you see an influx of a singular person. You wonder if maybe you’re just overthinking it, but that person looks a lot like- you?
Those drawings aren’t even the weirdest thing in his book, you see the occasional Spider-Man suit- redesign?
You furrow your eyebrows and widen your eyes at the designs, does Miles work with Spider-Man? Or is he just a super fan? You don’t even let your brain consider the possibility that Miles is Spider-Man, like come on, my Miles?
You are so focused in thought that you don’t hear as footsteps approach the door, and as the door knob twists open.
“Hey sorry I was- WAIT NO” Miles shouts, reaching for his sketchbook in your hands, yanking it.
“I’m sorry I’m sorry!!” you exclaim, putting your hands up in surrender, your eyes still as wide as ever.
“Don’t look at that!” he says, not even making eye contact with me as he throws it onto his desk.

“I’m sorry I- I don’t even know why I looked at it!” I apologize profusely.
He doesn’t look at you, but you can see as his cheeks get red.
“Please, I’m very sorry” you tilt my head at him.
“It’s- it’s fine” he sighs, sitting next to you on his bed.
You both sit in silence for a while, your fingers play with your pant fabric as you sit still.
“Can I ask you something?” you abruptly ask, turning to face him.
He gulps and looks at me, his eyes wide. He looks like a deer caught in headlights.
“Are you Spider-Man?” “I like you” you both blurt out at the same time.
Now it’s my turn for my eyes to widen, and his jaw drops.
“Wait- no- uh” he tries to backtrack, stumbling along the way.
“I like you too” “I am Spider-Man” you both blurt out again
His eyes widen and your jaw drops.
“Woah” you laugh softly, smiling.
“I can’t believe you're actually Spider-Man!” you exclaim, shaking my hands.
“I can’t believe you actually like me?!” he says.
We sit in silence, letting our happiness and shock simmer down.
“So uh, can you show me the rest of your drawings?” I rub my neck, smiling as I scooch closer to him.
He smiles back, getting his sketchbook back from his desk.

All eyes were on you, although they would occasionally jump to Jamie as well.
You opened your mouth and immediately closed it again. Your brain felt like it was stroking out, unable to process the information you had just been given.
You? And Jamie? Jamie Tartt? The Jamie Tartt? The footballer Jamie Tartt? Striker for AFC Richmond Jamie Tartt? Former Lust Conquers All competitor Jamie Tartt? The idiot standing next to you Jamie Tartt? Jamie Tartt, whom you didn’t even know the birthday of, or really anything else about him? That Jamie Tartt?
The room began to spin slightly, but it wasn’t from any alcohol. Your mind was painfully overwhelmed as it ran a million miles a minute. Everyone was silently waiting for you to speak, Keeley’s eyes like daggers as she stared at you. You glanced over at Jamie, who was the only person in the room who couldn’t seem to look at you.
Your mouth opened, locked and loaded with denial at the ready…
“I guess the cat’s out of the bag.”
What?
Why are you going along with this? You asked yourself. It was unclear.
The collective gasp that filled the back yard felt rehearsed. Everyone began looking at each other in complete surprise. When you looked at Jamie, he was also staring at you, stunned, as if he expected you to deny it just as much as you expected yourself to. Realising what you had just said, you scooted closer to him, as if to stand in solidarity. Swallowing hard, you tried to come off as more confident than you felt.
“It’s true,” You declared. “Jamie is my boyfriend.” Jamie said nothing, instead wrapping a hesitant arm around your shoulders and pulling you close to him. You wondered if you looked as stiff as you felt. It seemed that everyone began to talk at the same time.
“We are so happy for you too! Why did you not tell us?”
“Two of my favourite people, together and in love. What a beautiful world we live in.”
“Since when is Tartt a good liar? How did you hide this from us?”
“I think the better question is why?” Keeley interjected, her arms crossed over her chest. It was clear that she wasn’t handling the news as kindly as the others.
“I don’t know,” You said, feeling like it was the only thing you could say that wasn’t a lie. “I was afraid. And I didn’t want things to change, with you or with anyone. I hated the thought of being another footballer's girlfriend.”
Been there, done that, assumed you would never do it again.
That’s what you get for assuming, apparently.
Keeley picked at her chin as she thought about this, before rushing forward and grabbing your hand. Jamie’s arm slipped away from you as she pulled you inside without a word. The crowd within the house had thinned momentously, and you wondered if it had to do with the kitchen drama that was now ensuing in the yard. She led you up the stairs and into the bathroom, where she closed and locked the door. A long time passed with her just staring at the closed door. It made you want to throw up. Her eyebrows were knitted together when she finally turned to face you.
“Can you please explain this to me?” She asked you in a quiet voice.
“Keeley…” You said, desperate to tell her the truth but knowing you had dug your own grave. “I’m so sorry.” You began to pull at the hem of your shirt. “It just… it just happened. I didn’t know how to tell you.” Part of you wondered if you should be concerned about how easy it was to feed her this lie.
“I guess I’m just sad you didn’t tell me sooner, but I am over the moon for you,” She admitted with a softening face. “Jamie is wonderful. He’ll treat you better than he ever treated me when we were together.” You shifted as you tried not to look uncomfortable.
“He’s changed because of you though,” You reminded her. She rolled her eyes.
“Well, at least one of us gets to reap the benefits of my work, then.” The both of you laugh, her placing a hand on your forearm. When you settled, she looked at you with her big, caring eyes. “I just have another question to ask.”
Having a feeling where this was going, you nodded. She took a deep breath.
“Are you sure you’re ready for something like this?” Her voice was soft, tender, and you could tell this was her biggest concern. She glanced at the sink counter before looking back at you. “It just wasn’t that long ago that… you know who happened. And you had said you wouldn’t date another footballer. I just-”
“Oh no,” You said, waving your hand to stop her from talking. If she said anything more, it would become clear that you absolutely were not ready for anything like this, which was why you hadn’t wanted anything like this. But you shoved those feelings down and plastered an all too reassuring smile on your face. “It’s… it’s different this time, I think.” Your hands shook anyway, and you had to shove them in your pockets to hide them.
“Obviously,” Keeley said with a chuckle. “Jamie would never.” She didn’t elaborate, but she didn’t need to. You already knew what she meant, and you already knew she was right.
“Are we okay?” You asked her, the pain in your chest from this whole encounter seeming to worsen. The idea of risking your friendship with Keeley over a lie for Jamie was absolutely ridiculous.
“Of course we are, babe,” She assured you, grabbing your hand and giving it a firm squeeze. “I just want you to be happy.” The tension released, your muscles happy to finally relax. You squeezed her hand in return, giving her a wide smile that she returned before pulling you into a hug. “But you still owe me an explanation on how this all happened!” You forced a slight laugh.
“Maybe another day?” Maybe in a few weeks when you actually had an explanation to give. For now, you were so stressed over everything that had transpired over the last half hour that you felt the need for another drink. She released you, and you gave her another smile.
“It better be another day soon,” She said with a hint of warning in her voice. “I want every last detail. You nodded with feign enthusiasm.
“Let’s go back to the party, yeah?” She nodded, turning and leading you out of the bathroom, your wrist in her hand.
Before going back outside, where it was dark now, you found Roy and Sam in the kitchen. Sam was pouring another drink for himself while Roy was taking a sip of another beer. They both looked up at you and Keeley as you entered. Even though Keeley joined her boyfriend, his arm wrapped around her and a kiss planted on her forehead, you could feel Roy’s eyes following you. It was hard to ignore, but you pretended not to notice as you poured yourself another, much stronger drink.
“So,” Roy said, making you flinch at the break in the quiet. “You and Tartt.”
If there was anyone on the planet that you didn’t want to talk to about this subject, it was Roy Kent. The wish that the floor would swallow you whole intensified. Biting your lip, you continued to make your drink.
“Me and Jamie,” You replied, failing to hide the strain. He responded with a noise that was a mix between a grunt and hum. Keeley hit his chest lightly.
“Don’t push her, Roy,” She chastised. “It was probably very stressful for them to finally tell us. We’re happy for them, right?” Roy nodded. You allowed yourself a glance at his face, and when you saw the scepticism, you immediately wished you hadn’t.
“It just seems very random,” He continued, leading Keeley so the two of them were moving closer to you. Sam was looking between you and Roy, his face thoughtful.
“Love does seem very random, does it not?” He asked, his head tilted as he made eye contact with Roy. “It seemed random to the rest of us when you and Keeley got together.” At that moment, you wanted to kiss Sam all over his lovely face. You didn’t have any answers for Roy’s questions. It was all just as random to you as it was to him.
You went to flee to the back yard, when a random thought crossed your mind. You turned back and went to the fridge, assessing the assortment of beets before grabbing one and letting it close. As you passed, you exchanged a look with Roy. He was glaring at you suspiciously, while you were trying to match that energy in your own stare. In the end, you were glad when you were back outside in the cool, evening air. Throwing your drink back, you took a few hefty drink.
You wandered over to Jamie, who was sitting in the same lounge chair you had claimed not that long ago. Handing him the fresh cold beer, he gave you a surprised look before taking it from you.
“Thanks,” He said, all smiley as he looked at the bottle. “Even got me favourite.” You looked around at the other Richmond players, who, despite building a fire in the pit in the middle of the yard, were still all throwing glances yours and Jamie’s way.
“I guessed,” You mumbled before making your way to the chair at the opposite side. Without warning, Jamie grabbed you, gently pulling you down into the same chair he sat in and pulling your back against his chest.
“Gotta sell it,” He mumbled in your ear, breath hot against your skin.
The tension had returned to your body in full force, your chest rising and falling heavily. How did this happen? Why did you agree to it? Why were you suddenly so afraid?
“We’re gonna have to talk about this at some point, you know,” You mumbled to him. He wrapped an arm around your upper chest, his palm pressed flat against your clavicle. Your skin was on fire at the feeling. “This situation you got us into.”
“I know,” He mumbled. You wondered if he was enjoying this. There weren’t any signs that he was hating it. “I’m sorry. She started talkin’ about another blind date, and I told her I was seein’ someone. She asked who and… I dunno. Your name slipped out.” Your face didn’t change as you listened, eyes still on the fire that the others started, which had now grown pretty large.
“When I said to lie, I didn’t mean about me, goofball,” You joked, trying to create some ease, more in yourself than anything. You felt the laughter shake in his chest despite that it was silent.
“I just panicked. It was stupid.”
The door creaked open and Keeley walked out, followed by Roy. You averted Roy’s eyes as he walked over to the chair next to you and Jamie, the same chair he had occupied before, and took a seat once more.
“This is weird,” Roy remarked to the two of you. The rest of the team were talking amongst each other.
“Is it weird enough that you need to make comments like that?” Jamie asked, tapping his fingers against your chest. “Or could you try acceptin’ the happiness of your friends?”
Roy didn’t respond, deciding to let out a low growl instead while refraining from looking at either Jamie or you. You continued to say nothing, instead focusing on keeping your breathing normal. Which was incredibly hard, due to the fact that the panic had already risen to critical levels. The only thing running through your mind was leaving. Though you hadn’t been at the party for as long as everyone else, the evening took a turn that was more draining than you were prepared for.
You grabbed your drink and finished it with a single gulp.
“I think I’m gonna head home.”
Everyone watched you as you stood up, brushing your hands on your trousers before looking around at the faces. With a wave, you smiled before saying, “Sorry about the announcement earlier. I’ll see you guys later.”
Keeley stood, walking over and giving you a kiss on the cheek and a tight hug.
“I’m so happy for you, babe,” She assured you. You sighed, probably coming off as relieved to her, but you knew it was the exact opposite. Pulling away, you gave her one last smile before walking a little too fast through the backdoor and through the house. It was empty now. It was probably safe to assume that Keeley and Roy had asked the rest of the party to leave prior to returning outside.
It wasn’t until you got to the door to the front yard that you noticed that Jamie had gotten up and followed you inside. Pulling your hand away from the doorknob, you turned to look at him. His hands were behind his back, and he looked down at the floor, seeming to become bashful underneath your hard stare.
“Sorry, I-” He swallowed. “I thought it would look weird if I just let you leave.” You glanced around the room for a moment, gathering your thoughts.
“Roy is right,” You told him. “This is so weird. We go from never speaking to suddenly, we’re together? A couple?” Your shoulders flew up in an intense shrug before falling down once more. “It doesn’t make sense, Jamie. We have to-” You sighed as you stared at his crestfallen face. “We have to tell them the truth. Or say we ended it. This is insane. Expecting me to go along with this is insane.”
You turned to leave, ignoring him when he called after you.
The tears began the second you were in your car. The drive wasn’t long, but it sure felt like it was when you were crying the whole way there. Every light seemed to turn red, which upset you even further. By the time you pulled into your driveway, you placed your head on the steering wheel and let it all out. The hyperventilating was intense, so intense that you were having a hard time getting it under control.
You hadn’t been touched like that since…
No.
You wouldn’t do Jamie the disrespect of comparing him to that.
Still, the feeling of it was so disarming. Your hand went to your neck, rubbing at the skin in an attempt to get the burning to subside.
Fucking worthless, ain’t you?
You rushed inside, fumbling with your keys through your shaky hands. Before you knew it, you were running to the bathroom, throwing the shower on and tossing your clothes on the floor. Your hands went right for the soap and the cloth, immediately lathering yourself up to try and wash away the memory of the hands on your skin.
Not Jamie’s, anyway.
Just the memories his touch brought back.
You must’ve scrubbed three or four times before your skin stopped burning. Even still, you stayed under the hot water, pressing your forehead against the shower tile.
It was clear now that this game with Jamie had to end.
If this was how you reacted to a fake relationship, how could you ever again handle a real one?

— — —
You were happily skipping into the lair; it was movie night and you just returned from a successful snack hunt. Aside from everyone’s favourite candy and chips, you had also found a rare brand that you loved but didn’t find everywhere, so of course you bought as many as you could fit into your backpack. You couldn’t wait to see the boys’ reaction to it and hoped they’d love it as much as you did.
Upon entering the lair you made your way towards the kitchen, where you heard some voices. You didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but managed to catch the last part of the conversation.
“…this is getting out of hand, I think I’m actually gonna explode tonight”, one of the brothers spoke.
“Why don’t you just confess to Y/n already?” April retorted, slightly exasperated.
“What? Look at me. They would never-“ His sentence ended abruptly as you walked through the open door. The enthusiasm in your step had you turning the corner and walking into the room with such speed that even if you had wanted to stop at the door when hearing those words, you wouldn't have been able to.
The turtle stood a couple of steps away, April in front of him but facing away from you, so she hadn’t seen you enter. His eyes had gone big as dinner plates when he saw you, a blush starting to cover his whole face.
“They would never what? I’m sure they’re the least person to care ab-!” April wasn’t able to finish her sentence as the turtle hastily turned her around by the shoulders, so that she could finally see you.
“Y/n, you’re back!” April greeted you with a loud, somewhat forced laugh. Seeing that you had brought the food, she took everything you were carrying, and scurried off to the projector room, claiming she was gonna set it up. And just like that you two were left alone.
“So, uh, how much did you hear?” the turtle asked after what seemed like an eternity of awkward silence. He wasn’t able to look you in the eye.
“Enough, I guess…” you answered, your brain going a thousand miles a minute.
Enough to figure out what’s going on and realising you feel the same as me, is what you meant.
Enough to be kinda grossed out by you, and I hope we never talk again, is what he understood.
Realising that if you didn’t solve this right now, the whole movie evening would be super awkward and weird, you decided you had to take the matter into your own hands. Averting your eyes to the side, you told him without an explanation to meet you on the roof of that one shop you usually go to (it’s just across the lair entrance and has a nice view from up top), and left. So now you were gone as well and the turtle was left alone in the kitchen with his mind running. He inhaled sharply, brought his hands to his face and groaned loudly.
While the poor guy was mentally and emotionally preparing himself to be rejected by his favourite person in the world, you were hastingly making your way to the roof, trying to calm your erratic breathing and crazy heart, because you had actually been crushing on him so hard for some time now, too.
Once on the roof, you paced back and forth along the railing, replaying the conversation from before in your mind. On one side you couldn’t help the goofy smile spreading on your face because your crush liked you back, apparently. On the other hand you also heard him say “look at me” in a derogatory way. Did he really think you didn’t find him physically attractive because he was a mutant?
Just as you were trying to find the best way to word your feelings, you heard the ladder clattering behind you under the weight of a certain turtle.
🔵 Leo
Leo approached you with some sort of sad determination. He was barely able to keep his smug façade, and it kinda broke your heart. You’d have to clear things up as quickly as possible.
“So… what’s up?” Leo asked with a nod. He stood a couple of steps away from you, so as to not get into your space, and crossed his arms in front of his chest in a defensive manner.
“I really didn’t mean to eavesdrop earlier, Leo” you explained. “I just really wanted to get back to all of you with the food. You said something that has me a little curious though.” You tried to give him the most genuine and non-judging look you could. “After telling April to look at you, you said that I would never… something. What were you gonna say?”
Leo grimaced and sighed, deflating a little. He turned to the side, holding onto the railing with both hands. You mirrored him, so now you both stood facing the bustling city. After some moments of just looking at nothing, he spoke.
“April was telling me to ask you out. I’ve actually liked you for a while now. Like, a lot.” He stole a quick glance at you to gauge your reaction. “But it’s obvious you’d never be interested in a mutant turtle, so I understand if you don’t wanna hang out anymore or something.” The last part he said with a bit of a bite to his voice. Probably not directed at you, but at himself.
“Ah, but you see, Leonardo, that’s where you’re wrong” you said, closing the distance to stand right next to him. Gently you pulled on his arm to turn him so you were facing each other. The gesture and the use of his full name had him all kinds of confused, but he didn’t dare to pull away.
“Before coming to such conclusions you should have consulted with me first, you know. For the record, I like what I see” you added, giving him a quick once-over, referring to him being a mutant. As your words started weighing in on him, Leo’s eyes grew bigger and bigger, an adorable blush adorning his cheeks. He eagerly awaited for you to continue, but you were actually waiting for him to say the magic words, so you guessed he needed just a little bit more encouragement. “I don’t want to take the chance from you because I just know that if I do, you’ll never let me live it down. So, go ahead Leo. Ask me.” you told him. In a rush of adrenaline and boldness, you moved down your hand, which was still on his arm, and took his hand in yours. You could have sworn you saw his breath hitch.
Leo’s last brain cell had exited the chat the moment you had touched his arm, so while he knew what you wanted from him, and he damn well also wanted it himself, he was unable to produce a sound. You patiently waited, slightly amused at how you could see the figurative gears in his head turning at ungodly speeds, and smiled at him expectantly.
The lights of the city reflected on your skin, enveloping your figure in an almost surreal aura in Leo’s eyes, and his other hand came up to cup your face. You flinched slightly in surprise, but were quick to lean into his touch to reassure him. You were so beautiful, smart, generous. How in the world did he end up here like this with you?
“Are you sure about this?” he asked instead, his insecurities suddenly getting the best of him.
“What do you mean?” you retorted, slightly confused. Had you misunderstood him?
“Well, I know I can be a lot. And honestly you’re way out of my league” Leo said with a sad smile. “I’m moody and get distracted easily, always make a game out of everything. You deserve better…” He started withdrawing his hand from your cheek, but you grabbed onto his wrist and held it in place, also giving his other hand a squeeze.
“Isn’t that for me to decide?” you said with furrowed brows, and started rambling, unable to stop yourself, trying to get through that thick skull of his. “I’d like to think that by now I know you, Leo. And I know you can be cocky and impulsive and kind of a flirt. But I also know just as well how big of a heart you have; you’d probably sacrifice yourself for someone else without a second thought. I know how funny and laidback you can be, but you know how to be serious as well when it matters.” You removed your hand from his wrist and placed it on his chest, looking at him with almost pleading eyes. “I like your voice, your stripes, your corny pick-up lines. I like all of you Leo, in and out, and I want it all for myself.”
Leo just stood there, looking at you in awe and disbelief. Is that really how you felt about him? And all this time he had held back from making a move. With a smile and a light scoff, he just kept looking at you, memorising every detail of your face, glowing in the city lights.
Since he still wasn’t responding, you gave him a light push.
“C’mon, don’t leave me hanging here…” you mumbled, heat rising to your cheeks as you had just confessed all of that to him. Leo savoured the moment just a little more, then decided he had made you wait long enough.
“If that’s really how you feel, then will you go out with me?” he finally asked. Your eager ‘Finally! Yes!’, combined with your words from before, filled up his ego again; it was now bursting. Giving you his signature cocky smirk, his body language changed completely. Letting go of your hand, he grabbed onto your waist instead and pulled you closer. The hand on your cheek ended up at the back of your head, in your hair. The soft look in his gaze shifted, now looking at you hungrily.
“I wanna kiss you so bad right now” Leo whispered, and you felt your body go up in flames.
“Do it, coward” you further provoked him.
Leo dipped his head, capturing your lips in his. The first kiss was chaste but lingering and full of longing. He pulled back ever so slightly and went back in again, this time slanting his mouth for a better angle and deepening the kiss. He pulled you impossibly closer against him and your hands wandered up from his chest to his neck, as you held his face.
Let’s just say movie night was long forgotten as you two finally were able to show each other how much you both had waited for this moment.
🔴 Raph
Raph approached you the way big or tall people walk when they’re trying to make themselves smaller, which made your chest tighten in pain. Your feelings for this turtle were astronomical, he should be walking with his head held high and chest puffed out. Just you wait until I tell you, you thought, already knowing you’d very much enjoy the facial expressions you were about to witness.
There were a couple of big wooden crates on the roof, and you gestured for him to sit on one. You took a seat across from him, cross-legged, trying to seem relaxed so he’d be more at ease, and not like you were scared of him or something.
“I really didn’t mean to eavesdrop earlier, Raph” you explained. “I just really wanted to get back to all of you with the food. You said something that has me a little curious though.” You tried to give him the most genuine and non-judging look you could. “After telling April to look at you, you said that I would never… something. What were you gonna say?”
Raph gave a dry chuckle, daring to look at you as if to see if you were serious. Seeing that you were earnestly waiting for his response, he hung his head low in embarrassment.
“I was gonna say you would never date someone who looks like… this” Raph said, gesturing to himself with one hand, before resting his arm on his knee again. “April was telling me to ask you out, but I knew there’s zero chance you’d agree, so… I wanted to save us both the hassle of going through that.”
“Raph” you called his name, and waited for him to lift his head to meet your eyes. To his surprise, you were not looking at him in disgust, but with pure adoration.
“All of this”, you said, gesturing to him like he did before, “Mwah!” You made a chef’s kiss gesture, bringing your fingers together to your lips, then opening your hand. “And the person and soul behind it? Even more so.”
Raph blinked once, twice. No response. You smiled.
“What I’m trying to say, Raph, is April was right. You should have asked me out, while you could.”
This confused Raph even more. While he could? Was it too late now? Was there… someone else?
Deciding that you had tortured this poor boy enough, you shook your head slightly in amusement, smiling to yourself. You got off the crate, coming to stand in front of Raph. With him sitting, you were now on eye-level. You brought your hands up to gingerly hold his face and brushed over his cheekbones with your thumbs. You saw him straighten up and inhale sharply, as his cheeks turned darker and darker, his eyes unable to look away from yours.
“I like you too, you green, spiky doofus” you confessed. “So now, I am asking you: will you be my boyfriend?”
The turtle was completely frozen where he sat, not moving a single muscle. After a few seconds of silence, you squished his cheeks a little.
“Raph, I want you to be my boyfriend. …Are you gonna make me beg?” Still no response. Now you had done it, Raph.exe had stopped working entirely. Letting go of his face, you took a step back and turned to leave. “Too bad; had you said yes, you would have gotten a kiss…”
“W-Wait!” he yelled, and grabbed your waist, pulling you back towards him. As he finally snapped back to reality, he underestimated the force of his action, and instead of just turning you around to face him again, he fully pulled you towards him, so that you were now standing between his legs, chests almost touching. This caught you by surprise as well and you held onto his shoulders for balance. Now your blush was rivalling his.
“That’s not fair; I wanted to be the one to ask!” Raph protested with a laugh. “You know I want to say yes, but… Are you sure? I’m not exactly easy on the eyes.” His gaze started shifting away from yours, so you once again held his face, this time with more confidence, and made him look at you.
“Is your skull as thick as your shell?” You asked rhetorically, not in a scolding tone but more in a playful manner. “Listen carefully, Rapahel, and dutifully absorb this information into your brain: You are as handsome as you are green. I like how you care about your brothers, how you always protect everyone and lead responsibly. I like how selfless you are. I like that you can take a joke, but that you know how to take things seriously. I like how you can both be tender and gentle, as well as strong and unbreakable. I feel safe and acknowledged around you. The fact that this amazing person before me came in the body of a giant turtle is just the cherry on top of everything else.”
Raph was completely speechless. He had hung onto every word, and you saw his eyes starting to gloss over. You had just poured out your entire heart to him, and he needed you to know that he felt the same way about you. Even so he was unable to come up with a response on the spot that could come even close to what you had just said, and he started racking his brain for something, anything.
You didn’t take his silence as something negative. Heck, if someone just dumped all of this on you out of nowhere, you’d also be at a loss for words. He needed to process it. Even though you knew this, you couldn’t resist any longer.
“To sum it up: I see you, Raph” you added, and started getting closer. “And I like what I see.”
With that you closed the distance between the two with a kiss. For a second he didn’t react, then you felt his shoulders slump as he sighed into the kiss, tilting his head to the side and fully wrapping his arms around you.
When you finally broke for air, you couldn’t help but pepper him with little kisses on his jaw, the corner of his mouth and the tip of his snout, which made him giggle. For a moment you just stood there looking at each other, taking in everything that had just happened.
“For the record, I do want to be your boyfriend” he finally said with a laugh, realising he hadn’t actually given you a proper answer.
“Well, after all that, I’d sure hope so!” you replied with a laugh of your own.
🟠 Mikey
Mikey got up to the roof with a million thoughts. He had no idea how to approach this, how to approach you.
“Hey, what’s up?” he greeted you and cringed at how forcefully peppy he sounded, given the conversation from before. You went to sit on the old bench that was on the roof, and he joined you.
You brought up one arm to rest on the back of the bench and bent your knees, bringing up your legs onto the bench as well, tucking them under your butt, so you sat sideways facing him.
Looking at him for a second and noticing how nervous he looked, you decided to get to the point.
“I really didn’t mean to eavesdrop earlier, Mikey” you explained. “I just really wanted to get back to all of you with the food. You said something that has me a little curious though.” You tried to give him the most genuine and non-judging look you could. “After telling April to look at you, you said that I would never… something. What were you gonna say?”
Mikey leaned back on the bench and sighed. If you had already heard that much, he might as well come clean. He didn’t like hiding stuff from you anyways, and you’d have discovered his feelings sooner or later anyways. He just didn’t want it to be like this.
“I was gonna say that you’d never be interested in someone like me” he finally says, and looks out to the nocturnal cityscape. “I really didn’t want you to find out like this, but I really like you. I have for a while now.”
You were about to interrupt him to say something, but he held out a hand to stop you, silently asking for you to let him finish first, so you waited.
“And I don’t expect an answer from you; it’d be unfair to put you on the spot like this. I really like like you, but I also like having you as a friend, and I don’t want to ruin what we have.”
You waited for a couple more seconds, and seeing that he seemed done with what he wanted to say, you finally spoke as well.
“But what if I want to ruin what we have?”
“What do you mean?” he asked, unsure if he should be hurt by what you said.
“You’re my best friend in the whole world, Mikey, and that will never ever change. But sometimes I do wish we were something more…”
“Huh” was all he could say, trying to not get ahead of himself and get all excited, in case this wasn’t headed the way he thought it was.
“How long have you felt this way?” you asked, suddenly becoming self-conscious and flustered, avoiding his eyes.
“I haven’t really been keeping track of it, but sure has been while now” he replied with a sheepish smile.
“Well, that’s a shame, because it’s been the same for me” you chuckled. “Guess we could have had this conversation a while ago. Good thing I caught you talking to April, huh?”
“So… you’re saying you like like me too?” Mikey asked and reached out for your hand.
“I do” you said and met him halfway, giving his hand a squeeze.
You two just sat there for a while, holding hands, a blush on both your faces. After some minutes of nervous glances and some giggles, you stood up, pulling him with you.
“Now that that’s taken care of, I think we should head back” you said and pointed to the ladder with your chin. “They’ll start movie night without us otherwise and eat all the snacks I oh so carefully picked out.”
“Wait” Mikey said and pulled on your hand, turning you back around to face him. “There’s something I’ve been wanting to do forever.”
You didn’t have time to ask what he meant, as he was already closing the distance between you two and planted a chaste but firm kiss on your lips. It was over just as quickly as it started, and while you stood there with a furious blush and a dazed look, he smiled sweetly at you.
“Yeah, I’ll definitely be doing that more often” he commented, winked at you, and then pulled you along to the ladder. “Last one back home is a rotten egg!”
🟣 Donnie
Donnie slowly approached you, his eyebrows deeply furrowed, and his arms crossed over his chest protectively.
You leaned back against the railing, waiting for him to join you. As he finally arrived, he stood next to you, facing the cityscape below you. You guessed it would be more comfortable for him to stand like this, facing in opposite directions as you talked, or he’d think you’re confronting or scolding him.
“Thanks for coming, Donnie. You know, I really didn’t mean to eavesdrop earlier” you explained. “I just really wanted to get back to all of you with the food. You said something that has me a little curious though.” You gave him a quick glance from the side, trying to sound the most genuine and non-judging you could. “After telling April to look at you, you said that I would never… something. What were you gonna say?”
For a second, Donnie considered brushing the whole thing off as a joke between him and April, or telling you that you had misheard him. Chewing on his bottom lip, he quickly stole a glance at you; you were looking ahead of you, the faintest of blushes dusting your cheeks, patiently waiting for a response.
He sighed, deciding against dismissing your question; it wouldn’t be fair to you. And it was beneath him to gaslight you. He didn’t want to hurt you, but he also didn’t want to be hurt by you.
“Before I answer that, may I ask a question instead?” he asked.
“Sure” you said.
“Hypothetically speaking, if one of us were to ask you out, would there be a chance of you accepting? Solely regarding our physical appearance.”
“Yes, hypothetically” you answered. “But it would depend on who’s asking; looks aren’t the deciding factor.”
“What if, hypothetically, it was me?”
“Ask for real and find out” you said and finally turned around to face him. He slowly turned as well, his heart pounding in his chest; it was now or never. You smiled at him encouragingly, and he took a deep breath.
“First of all: I like what we have now and I don’t want to lose it” he started, avoiding your eyes. “But for a while now I realised that my feelings for you have… changed. I want to be more than friends, Y/n.”
Finally he met your gaze, and your heart skipped a beat at the seriousness in his eyes.
“Are you hypothetically asking me out, Donatello?” you asked him with a coy smile.
“I am asking you out for real” he stated and shyly took your hands in his. “So, what do you say?”
“I’d love to, Donnie. I’ve liked you for a while now as well, for real.”
His entire body relaxed at your words and a soft smile spread on his face, as he took a moment to process this.
“This is all new to me” he said suddenly. “All I know is you’re important to me, and I don’t want to lose you. Please… be patient with me.”
“There’s no rush” you said, and brought one hand up to gently stroke over his cheek with your knuckles. “We’ll figure it out together. Just talk to me, okay?” He nodded.
“Should we head back?” you asked after a while.
“Yeah” he said and you both turned to leave, but he didn’t let go of your hand as you walked. “I saw you brought some new snacks, can’t wait to try those.”
You hummed in agreement, still in disbelief of what just happened. Despite how much you had been looking forward to them, you weren’t sure how many snacks you’d be able to eat, with all the butterflies fluttering in your belly right now.

HII!!! I LOVE YOUR WRITING SOO MUCH AND I WAS HAPPY WHEN I SAW UR REQS WERE OPEN!!!!!. i was wondering if you could possibly maybe write something with lyle and/or quaritch (preferably quaritch if you don't wanna do both but either is fine!!!) with a reader who cries when she is yelled at? it would be nice if the reader was a human!fem!reader!!
i'm thinking him (meaning lyle or quaritch) and reader are in a heated argument and he starts to raise his voice at her and she just gets all upset and scared bc her lover is so much bigger than her and shes just scared that he could snap her in half at any given time so he apologizes for yelling at her and snuggling or something with her after to make up for it :)
it almost worked.

opening your eyes to a new body, a body you're not used to, is weird but also relieving; that's what quaritch felt: relief, weirdness, disgust.
he was disgusted with the way he looked—his skin, his eyes, his ears—and he found it funny, funny that he's one of the 'savages' he's always hated.
he didn't expect to see all his friends, and especially you, an old friend and lover. an old person quaritch fell in love with. seeing you for the first time filled his brain with memories—memories of you and human quaritch.
now, this quaritch, the one standing in front of you, was not the one you fell in love with, and you are aware of that, but seeing him after years of missing him made your heart ache. quaritch had a hard time being around you; every time he sees you, he's hit with a train of emotions and memories. he almost felt bad for you.
"i thought you went back to earth."
you looked up at the source of the voice as if you had no idea whose voice this is. "i did go back," you hummed.
"why'd you come back?"
"that isn't important. why are you here anyway?" you said, the last part clearly annoyed as you opened your drawer and shuffled through it.
"i came here to talk; you got a minute to spare, f'me?" you once again hummed before you found your lipgloss and that tiny mirror you always kept with you. you opened the tube and squeezed the product out before swiping it over your lips. "i've always liked the way your lips looked after you put the shiny stuff on."
"i appreciate that," you said in a cold tone.
"what did you want to talk about?" you said you were resting your cheek on the back of your hand.
"us, i mean, i know'm not quaritch, i'm not that person, we do share the same memories, but - i can't help but feel strong feelings for you, can't get you outta my head, now, i repeat, i'm not that person, i know how he treated you, but we can pick it up again and make it work, whaddya say, sugar?"
you got up and placed your hands on the table. "you can't ask this; you can't expect me to forgive you or come running back to you like a little girl trying to find her way through the night. i have changed and moved on, and so should you." you got up from your chair and walked towards the door. a tight grip on your arm stopped you and made you wince in pain. "let go," you said in a harsh tone.
"you are going to sit your ass down there on that chair and talk to me." when you glared up at him, his grip tightened, and you whined. "did i make myself clear?" it came out more like a statement than a question.
you looked up at him with wide eyes. "you're hurting me; stop." he clenched his jaw at your words and let go. "you're not a good person, miles," you said, shaking your head. "please let me go; i can't do this anymore. doesn't it bring you enough satisfaction knowing that i'm with you hurting in the same base?" he had a stern look on his face now, looking down at you. "i didn't ask you to come here. if you didn't want to see me this bad, then why'd you come here knowing that i'd be here, hm?" he raised his eyebrows, his lips forming a tight line. "answer me, goddammit!" he yelled at you, making you jerk in fear.
"still like old times, huh? still getting scared easily. "y'know, sweetheart, i've always liked that side of you, the scared side of you," he chuckled. and a dark and quiet chuckle. a chuckle that made you shiver in fear. "you can't even look me in the eyes; you never looked me in the eyes when we argued." his hand was on your face, caressing your cheek as you stood there, totally frozen and unable to move. was it fear, or was it need? the question swam around in your head. you wrapped your hand around his wrist, your fingers not even close to touching. you jerked his hand away, forcing his hand off of your face.
"stay away from me," you said, your voice small and close to breaking. that amused him, knowing he still had that kind of effect on you. "say that you don't love me anymore, and i'll leave you alone. "say it right to my face right now, right here." he commanded you as if you were one of his soldiers. "say it!" he yelled at you once again, making you flinch and widen your eyes more.
he knew you weren't good with yelling, yet he still yelled at you.
you'd had enough. you had no idea what had happened to you. you were like a volcano waiting to explode. and that's what you did. you exploded. "i hate you," you said quietly, and he didn't even hear you.
"what was that?" "i hate you!" you screamed this time.
his eyebrows furrowed as he looked at you. "watch what you're saying, girl; watch your words. you don't want me to get you crying like the crybaby you are, right?" when you didn't say anything, he smirked. "thought so."
you looked up at him and tsked, a smirk forming on your lips. you pointed your finger at him, rapidly but harshly poking at his chest. "i. hate. you. i hate you. i fucking hate you. i hate paz. i'm so happy she's dead. i'm so happy that you're dead. although you're standing right here, in front of me, you are dead. "you are dead to me; you're dead to me. do you hear me, you sick motherfucker?" you've started hitting his chest with both hands now.
"i said watch what yo-"
"you watch what you say to me; i am not hesitant to stick a knife down your throat and watch you choke on your own blood. i hate you. i always have. from the moment you started screwing stupid paz, i started hating you. i hate you, i hate paz, and i hate your stupid team, especially fucking lyle, that sick, retarded fuck. i hate that nasty kid you and paz had. god, how satisfied i'd be to watch you die." he was too stunned to talk; his mouth was open, his eyes narrow, and you just chuckled at how stupid he looks.
"we had everything we needed back on earth. but you wanted more; you never wanted my love, you never wanted me; you just wanted a chick to screw, to bend over whatever you found and fuck them to feel good about yourself, to feel how great and strong of a colonel you are. fuck you!" your words were venomous. he couldn't bear your voice anymore; his hand wrapped around your small neck, squeezing the air out of your lungs.
"well, guess what? i ain't that crazy about you either." he slightly lifted you off the ground, making your face turn red before letting you down harshly. you landed on your buttocks with a thud.
"i hate you! i hate you all so much! i hate you so much!" you said crawling to him before you pressed your teeth down on the flesh of his leg, and he let out a loud grunt and kicked you. you sat down on the floor with your hands on your face, wiping the tears, sniffling the snot, and the tears making your face wet and gross. he felt bad for what he did; the only thing he was able to do was stare down at you.
"you promised... you said—you—you promised that you'd never hurt me—you promise—" your words were cut off with yet another sob. you sniffled some more before getting up. "i always used to sit down on that stupid couch where we used to cuddle and wonder what went wrong, but then i realized that it was me. if i showed you more love, if i loved you more, maybe we would be together now, on earth, with a couple of kids." you wiped your tears. "i should've learned to let you stay. we should've gone back to florida—i remember seeing you sun bathing every morning—and" you sniffled and cried some more, more tears rolling down your cheeks that you didn't bother wiping anymore.
"your body is becoming darker and darker, making you look terrific. i remember when we first met. it was so clear to me that you were the one for me, but then again, you didn't want me all the time. i am mature now—more mature than i ever was—and i am letting you go today, letting you go fully."
you stood up, and he was quick to pull you into a hug. your small body fits just right. you didn't hug back; you knew better. you knew that if you did, you wouldn't be able to turn around and walk away, so you did the right thing. "i'm sorry, cupcake," he said before you tried to push him away from you.
"i'm sorry, i never meant to make you feel that way. i never meant to hurt you." you were hearing the words that you so desperately needed to hear—the words you were dying from the inside to hear—yet it only made you sob more. you finally had enough courage to walk away.
"i wish you all the best, really. "i'm so happy you're here." you said this and walked to the door, tears running from your eyes like water from faucets; it was as if your eyes were the faucets.
"don't..." he whispered as you shut the door behind you.
now here's the thing: you loved him, you loved him, and you loved him; how could you not? he was a great person in your life—a person that you don't regret meeting. you don't even blame him for cheating on you with paz; how could you when you love him so much? you were always making excuses for his actions. and you still are.
and here's the thing that is shocking: he loved you; he did, but he was too cool for a heart like yours, and his eyes were too electric and full of life for boring, tired eyes like yours. his lips are too good for chapped ones like yours. his love is too warm for cold hearts like yours.
his neglection to you on pandora is too cool for you.
the taste of his sweaty thumb inside your mouth is too good for you.
the electric shocks of his touches are too good for skin like yours.
you were boring; you were aware of that, and now you were stuck here on pandora, where nobody wanted you. you were going to live alone for the rest of your life—no chest like his to lay your head on, no lips like his to kiss your salty tears. just you and your body that's been painted blue.

Hey!! I hope you're doing well!! Glad you aren't slammed with work anymore (I'm about to start finals so I totally get the grind). I was wondering if I could possibly get a fic or blurb with Topper where the reader is super stressed from studying for a bunch of exams and he makes her stop and lay down with him. When they are laying down she still can't turn her brain off, so she asks Topper to do whatever he needed to make her less stressed....obviously leading to smut, lol. Thank you so much!!!
Unwind
Tumblr media
Summary: see above
Warnings: smut, oral (fem receiving), 18+
Finals week was here. You'd pretty much ignored Topper all week, staying up until the wee hours of the morning to study so you could ace each exam. The knots in your neck were growing each day, body wound so tight that you could barely sleep even when you finally climbed into Topper's warm embrace.
He had watched you struggle all week, eager to help in any way that he could. He'd made sure you shared apartment was well stocked with your favorite snacks and drinks. A fresh t-shirt of his laid out each night for you to change into. Tonight you'd been hunched over at your desk for what seemed like an eternity, sighing louder and louder as your eyes struggled to focus on the flash cards in front of you.
Suddenly you felt his warm hands wrap around your shoulders, kneading your sore muscles and making you let out a content hum of appreciation. "God Top, feels like heaven."
"Why don't you come to bed sweetheart? I don't think you're retaining anything right now anyway."
You allow him to shut your laptop, grabbing a hold of his hand and letting him lead you to your shared bedroom. You quickly strip down to just your panties, smiling tiredly as he pulls yet another baggy t-shirt over your head.
You try your hardest to relax as he cradles you in his arms, tracing his nails up and down your back. No matter how hard you try though, you can't get your mind to stop racing through all of your notes. You let out a heavy sigh, flopping onto your back and covering your face with your hands in frustration.
"What's wrong y/n?" Topper rolls onto his side, peering down at you, wondering what he can do to help.
"I just can't turn my brain off. My thoughts are going a thousand miles a minute. Can you do something to help me unwind? Please?"
He smirks, quickly moving to hover over top of you as your breath catches in your throat.
"Oh sweetheart, I can think of a few ways. Just lay back and let me make you feel good."
You nod eagerly, surrendering yourself to his intentions as his lips brush against yours. Soft, tender kisses quickly turn feverish, his tongue pushing into your mouth and making all thoughts except how good he feels melt away.
Your hands grip onto his shoulders as his lips trail down your neck, seeking out your sweet spot before fulling digging in. His dominant hand comes up to your right breast beneath his shirt, massaging gently before starting to roll your nipple between his talented fingers.
Your breaths come quicker, soft moans and whimpers falling from your lips as he turns his attention to your other breast. As his lips make their way further down your body you tremble beneath him, anticipation swirling through your veins at what comes next.
He settles between your thighs, resting your feet on his upper back as his fingers reach for your panties. He leans in closely, nose nudging your clit as he inhales deeply. You can't find the will within yourself to be embarrassed, so desperate for his touch and the pleasure he can bring.
He waits until you're watching him, leaning down slowly to lick up the seam of your thong. You can't help the moan that spills from your lips, eyes threatening to roll at the simple touch, thoughts no longer focused on anything but how his tongue feels pressed against you.
"God, you're so beautiful. Gonna make you feel so good baby."
You lift your hips to help him pull your panties off, unable to look away as he presses soft kisses to your lower lips.
"Fuck Top, please."
His tongue presses to your entrance and your eyes fall shut, head flying back into the pillow as he gets to work. His strong hands hold your thighs open, hips trapped in place as he lazily drags his tongue from your entrance to your clit. Every flick of your bundle of nerves makes you moan louder, fingers buried in his hair as you try to ride his face.
His pace gradually increases, quick figure eights traced over your clit while two of his fingers slowly sink into your warm walls. He knows exactly how to drive you crazy, slowly thrusting his fingers in and out while curling them just right to hit that special spot only he can reach.
He latches onto your clit, sucking it between his teeth and gently shaking his head back and forth. Your thighs start to shake, your high rushing forward quickly.
"Oh god, don't stop. "m gonna cum."
"That's it sweetheart, cum for me."
He dives back in, eagerly lapping at your clit and sending you straight over the edge. Your back arches off the mattress as the pleasure washes over you, all logical thought gone from your brain. He kisses slowly back up your body, smiling down at your relaxed expression before kissing you on the lips once again.
"Better y/n?"

LCSYS ask again(undercover asker here hiiiiiaufhghghgn)thank you for responding!!!! ilovfe seeing your ideas theyre such good fuel in between trials❤️❤️
i was wondering how th prisoners would react to es’ usage of violence, like some of the younger prisoners complaining about it while the older are concerned because Hello Where did that stem from???? you cant tell me es’ “phew, i feel so much better” after hitting shidou didn’t send his mind racing a million miles per minute
ALSO curious about YONAH………… similar to how red’s violence towards es was scripted, was kotoko’s monologue about es being imperfect Also scripted, or was it on her own? yonah is probably my favourite voice drama of all time and I’m curious about how it would be interpreted in this au 🫶
Ah hello again! Thank you so much for reaching out -- every time I think I've covered everything you guys hit me with a new insane detail that makes my brain go brrrrr >:3
Because OMG I spent so much time thinking of the faked violence, I don't know why I never put as much attention on the flipside! I love the idea of Jackalope assuring them, "there will be no physical punishments. We'll talk about restraints but that's all fake. We'll make up injuries between trials but that's all fake. You don't have to worry about any real pain." And then this 15yo strolls up, interrogation one, ready to smack someone😅😅😅
Seriously though, I think it would come as a pretty big surprise to the group. They knew it was a possibility, but didn't think Es was that likely to attack, since they've made a few comments about being against violent punishments. Haruka comes back to mention the slap, and Yuno follows their instructions and says she also suffered violence, and the group is Shocked. I think it would just kill Fuuta that he wasn't allowed to hit back and avenge the others. He probably has the most complaints about the situation (and is insanely relieved that he get by in his own interrogation.) In a feeble attempt to get back at Es and make them feel bad, he encourages Muu to cry and make a big show about being afraid of them. Muu is frightened enough that it doesn't take much persuasion... I think Kotoko and unfortunately Amane wouldn't mind the threat, they both have lives in which authority showing power isn't out of place (and maybe Haruka?). Mahiru, too, thinks it's just the way a prison guard can run their prison if they want, though she's determined her charm will keep things running pleasantly.
Kazui reaches out asap* to question the legality of the experiment, since they're allowing children to get hit, even if by other children. There's a tangle of signatures and consent from everyone involved so it's okay, but the whole thing still rubs him the wrong way. He knew the experiment was a bit shady, but he(Though, this does make his first vd kind of funny -- instead of actually talking through his theories on the prison, now it feels like he's just egging Es on to see if they'll actually hit him...)
And I really like that idea that Shidou's dad instincts kick in (or maybe it's doctor instincts)! He'd understand if it was a child trying to play the role of an intimidating adult, but the way Es is doing things, the things they're saying, it all points to something deeper going on in Es' head. I can see him sitting down with the others and Jackalope to discuss. Of course Milgram gives him very little to work with, but this still kickstarts everyone's efforts to make sure Es is also taken care of post-Milgram.
*I just realized I'm still a bit fuzzy on communication during the trials. Jackalope can definitely get information to the prisoners (most commonly the 'voices' they're supposed to be hearing based on Es' notes, but also in case of emergency changes or things). I was picturing the prisoners unable to communicate outward until the trial ends, as it builds up the feeling of isolation and imprisonment. The issue is, I feel like Jackalope would want to keep that line open in case the prisoners had questions/issues with the experiment that affected their acting. So idk if the prisoners voice these concerns about Es mid-trial or they're forced to wait. I'll get back to you on that, hm
And Yonah!!
I wasn't avoiding spoilers, I actively looked for snippets here and there, but it was this ask that finally motivated me to sit down and watch it through -- and I'm SO GLAD I DID 👀 It's really well-written and wonderfully acted!! I'm floored with the whole thing omg
I really like the idea that the Milgram team instructed Kotoko to mention Es' imperfection to rattle them a bit, but left the specifics to her. Jackalope thought she'd just make some quick comment, and does a double take when he listens in on the interrogation and realizes she has a lot to say on Es and the way Milgram is run.
Jacklope told her to be harsh with Es, and she thought that was no problem at all. She felt those opinions strongly and wasn't going to go easy on the criticism just because they were a kid. She goes into the interrogation ready to stay completely put-together... and then surprises everyone and herself when Es' distress moves her to pull them into a tight hug and tell them everything's going to be alright ;---;

Hii, I love your writing and you're so very talented!!
Please, feel free to ignore this request if you don't feel comfortable writing it 😊
I was wondering if you could write a Lady Lesso x Never!Student platonic where the reader has depression. The reader has no motivation and everything seems like a chore - even eating. She would feel so terrible that she would phyically get sick and nauseous and tired all the time. The nights are the worst because her mind is plagued by dark thoughts, the nights seemed to never end, she's afraid she'll do something stupid so she rans down the hallway knocking on Lady Lesso's headquarters' doors.
She's afraid of Lady Lesso but she's afraid of herself even more.
I suffer from seasonal depression that lasts from like February to October and I'm tired already-
It gets to the point I even think things that aren't even true. Like... I'd mix reality and thoughs. For example - I'd be thinking my phone cracked and for some reason I'd believe it. I get so confused xD And I'd isolate myself from people not even caring. I wish I could feel bad because I stopped communicating with them but I just don't.
Hey lovely anon! <3 thank you so much for your support and kind words. I hope this is what you were looking for <3
Save me from myself
*Authors note| This seemed very fitting for my mood today so I absolutely have had a blast writing this.*
Trigger warnings~ food issues depression self harm the whole lot really
Prompt~see ask^^
Tumblr media
Depression is a strange thing, especially when coupled with anxiety. It's like you have no energy to do anything but your brain is going a million miles a minute. Yet it makes perfect sense, your brain is whirling so many thoughts that it's draining all of your energy. Self care goes out the window, anything that really requires any physical emotional or mental energy goes too. Why does life have to be soo hard? It feels as though everything is getting on top of you and pushing you further and further back into this dark place.  The dark place being cold and lonely, two of the things you wished to not feel, yet they surround you all day every day.
Food isn't on your radar, even the thought of food makes you feel nauseous. All you want to do is sleep for the rest of eternity. Yet your mind refuses to allow that. You know that staying in doors, in bed, is not helping you. Yet getting up is much too difficult. Sleep seems to evade you. Taunting you as if it knows your desperation for it to claim you. The lack of food, sleep and your overwhelming feelings seem to control your everyday thought. You know it's wrong and that you should ask for help but the energy to do that is missing.
That's why you turned to an older coping mechanism. You didn't mean to. It was a moment of weakness and not one you had planned to do again. You felt guilt as sin. Yet when you did it god the numbness was something you craved. But you couldn't do that again, it was a dangerous path that was extremely hard for you to crawl your way back from. Scars littered your arms now and they served as a reminder, self harm was not and is not the way forward. So for days you focused so hard on not giving into the urge, it was draining you but at least it worked.
As a never it felt wrong to even consider reaching out for help, it was weakness. Never's aren't weak. Weakness got you in a vulnerable space, something you really can't afford. Yet for some reason you had bonded rather well with the one and only Dean of Evil. Your recent slip into your seasonal depression had you pulling away from Leonora, something she didn't take too well. At first she assumed you were unwell, after all no one can stay in perfect health all the time, but soon it became apparent something darker was lurking behind your dorm room door. Something perhaps you were trying to hide. She trusted in you to find her when you felt ready, she had told you day or night she would be there for you and had truly meant every word.
Tonight, you broke. Fighting this battle alone was terrifying, and you didn't trust yourself to not fall back into that bad habit, you knew what would happen if you stayed in the room alone. You knew where to find your collection of sharp objects and how your control would dwindle fast just by the sight of them. You could feel the sensations of them on your skin. This was dangerous territory and you knew it. So without thinking you fled. Seeing the outside of your dorm for the first time in days. The candle light seemed awfully too bright and overwhelming from what you remember, was it always this cold? Briefly, you considered going back to hibernate under your blankets and just wait this out, but the sensations on your arm reminding you just how much of a terrible idea it truly was. So you ran.
Your body mindlessly taking you to your safe place, your home. Before you even knew it you were up the hall standing outside of Lesso's chambers. A luxury only had been given, for this exact reason. Yet here you stood, willing yourself to stay put and knock. Yet your mind was telling you to go back to the room and give in. Give in to the demon that plagued you. You need it. But you don't want it. And that's what makes you knock. Small timid knocked in a carefully designed pattern alerted the older women of your presence. And when that door opened, you felt your heart shatter into a million pieces.
This was absolutely terrifying, but you were more scared of your own mind right now. Your body reacting instantly by seeing the women, you threw yourself in her direction causing your body to slam into hers. Sobs tore through your body as she brought her arms around your quivering form. At this point you didn't know what was real and what was in your mind. Was she holding you? The words you hear, are the created by your mind? You didn't know, and truthfully you didn't care right now. You needed her and she was here, in person or in your mind , but that didn't matter. She was here when you needed her just as she had promised to be.
Soon enough you had settled on her sofa in front of the fire being cocooned by her strong arms and words of reassurance and encouragement being whispered into your hair as you let it all out. Tears and muffled apologises for pushing her away, hurting yourself and not being strong enough. Each and every fear she squashed and by the end of it you had snuggled closer and fallen into the first restful sleep you'd had in god knows how long.

Okay, headcannon for Izuku's quirk being able to hear animals speaking. Like when he turned, a bird landed on his window and he can hear them wondering if someone could give them something to eat so Izuku gave the bird a bowl of seed.
!!!!!!!! I LOVE THATTTTTTT !!!!!!!!
Koda and izuku are best friends and Disney princesses
My question is, can the animals understand him too? I’m going to say that they can, but if you want a situation where they can’t, that’s totally valid!!!!! Tell me and I’ll do a different set of headcanons for that!!!!
I like to imagine like,,, 4-5 year old izuku hanging out in his room and a bird flies on his window sill talking to themself about food, and little izuku is just in AWE
He’d be completely overjoyed
You cannot tell me that the absolute ray of sunshine that toddler izuku is would not be like, “oh my gosh, animals, I can understand animals, can they understand me? Do they like me? If I talk to them, will I be talking in bird or do they understand Japanese? I’ll get you seeds!!!!! I wonder if it’s all animals or just birds? I wonder-“ and his brain is going a mile a minute while he just runs into the kitchen trying to ask his mom if they have any bird seed
A very confused inko gives him some bird seed and asks if he’s okay, and he’s trying to articulate that he thinks he got his quirk, but he’s an excited 4 year old with adhd, who just heard and understood a bird and is thinking about what this means for his future career as a hero, so give him a moment
He does tell her what happened, and she asks him what the bird is saying and if the bird can understand them, and he says that they can, and he’s just so happyyyyyy
Angst time, because I am a horrible person /j
Hisashi Midoriya is not happy because the quirk is likely a mutation of some kind as it doesn’t have anything to do with fire breath or attracting small objects
So, he does a deadbeat dad thing and dips
Izuku feels so guilty over it, but he can’t bring himself to hate his quirk (good) he gets to talk to animals! He can help them!!
Inko makes sure to tell him that it isn’t his fault and that he shouldn’t blame himself
Family angst is over!
UA
So, our dearest son, izuku feral Midoriya, 10000% sneaks animals into the entrance exam
I like to imagine that he went to the park beforehand and talked to a shit ton of squirrels and chipmunks and asked them to help him with the entrance exam if they could. He brings them food as a peace offering (irl you shouldn’t feed wild animals, I know this, izuku knows this, but he can tell them why they shouldn’t rely on humans for food, we cannot, so just bare with me)
But yes. Just imagine izuku giving a war cry to all the rodents that are, for reasons unknown to anyone but izuku, standing around the gates of the exam area, and suddenly like,,,, 3 dozen rodents just start running in and tearing wires out of robots
Koda and izuku are fast friends who bond over their love and respect for animals
They both have anxiety too and are the only (at the beginning) members of class a who know/use JSL!
Okay, something that just popped into my head because I was thinking of how he’d use this quirk in the sports festival, and all I could think of was like,,, Pokémon trainer izuku
And honestly,,, kinda love that
Like, he’s just in the little ring with shinsou (does shinsou’s quirk work on animals?? Like, if he asked a cat a question and even if they don’t understand him, they still meow at him, would they be under his control?) anyway, I’m assuming shinsou’s quirk doesn’t work on animals. So, izuku just brings in a fucking bear who he bribed with salmon earlier and shinsou is like, “wow. Fuck.”
But anyway. I like to imagine that izuku has a shit ton of bird houses outside his window at home, and this continues when they move into the dorms
Aizawa finds him one night talking to a cat in an alleyway, and he’s worried for his problem child being in an alleyway at night and why is he here???? And then, he sees the cat and understands.
Mic goes to check on the class a dorms the next day because his husband never came back last night and he might’ve run into trouble with his hell class, only to walk in on the green bean and his husband smuggling a cat on campus
Shota, you’re a teacher. What are you doing?
He had to. Don’t worry about it. It’ll be fine.
Anyway. Class a has a new dorm cat :)
I hope you like theseeee!!!! They were really fun to write and think about!!!! Izuku and koda being Disney princesses is now something that I hold very dear to my heart 😭😭

Other nonsense that's not nearly as cool as finally finding the sunless city log I was missing (lie)
Tumblr media
While my brain keeps conflating the sun station with the probe launcher I am 99.99% sure it's not for that, it's for the warp core set up next to the memory statues in the ash twin lab in order to power the 22 minute timer.
They are /linked/ but the power isn't /for/ the probe, the probe going full power and exploding isn't because they overcharge it with sun station juice, it's arguably (sorta, there were disagreements on the nomai team) by design and is just using normal power sources.
The warp core that's sending the memory statues back in time 22 minutes IS using the mega power source that's destroying the sun each cycle, it's related but not the same, since part of why that's happening is to keep firing the probe in the first place.
Anyways, some minor existentialism (my beloved). Part of what I really like about this are the ways in which your memories can be rewound without you dying "exactly". Like the ash twin core can be exposed to the supernova and rewind itself while you're 300 million miles away from the sun or while you're on the quantum moon while it's orbiting the eye and in both cases you're too far away to die before the rewind- so while in neither situation are you far enough way to survive- there's some minutes of life you don't live before the rewind. it's fun :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These fuckin' nerds lol
Instead of just saying over the call "Yeah, the counter clockwise hurricanes suck things under" they said "IT'S FAR TOO FASCINATING YOU HAVE TO SEE" followed by "Well duh I made a model, I wanted to make a model :)"
I love them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also like totally nbd nbd nbd.
The probe module that receives info from the probe is INSIDE the core of waterworld. I know how to get TO the core but not IN the core (yet)(if possible)(probably possible).
And I met Sola :)
I could say plenty on the little mannerisms experienced there, but in all truth they don't say "much" of interest. Basically repeating a lot of ideas on quantum stuff and posing that if quantum state objects are every possibility at once- and viewing them "freezes" them in one collapsed possibility- what would happen if we viewed the eye directly?
A great question- fantastic even- but considering I came here with like 300 questions and then got quantum 101 and then a really good question put back at me I'm.... dissatisfied.
Not BIG time or anything. This is a great question, one I hadn't considered before talking to her. But because I can't communicate directly I can't ask about Any of this and I'm like "AAAAAAAAA"
To be expected- back to finding my own answers.
I mostly want to point at her to say how fucking sick it is that the Quantum moon isn't just showing this possibility to us- the possibility that we meet her.
It also allows us to see her corpse in various possibilities that she failed, with each other version of the moon having her in a different death pose (or maybe just 2, I kinda recall only finding her on the south pole twice and not being able to reach it otherwise, unimportant).
Neat!
Also this interaction implied she's NOT the third mask being memory-time-warped.
Maybe she is, but her interactions don't imply anything of the sort.
She doesn't mention anything about the rewinding, doesn't mention anything about the probe, doesn't mention anything about the sun station being turned on-
This is just "the possibility that she successfully found the 6th moon" and talking to her implies that she /feels/ that she has already died- and seeing how 5 of the other moon faces have her dead, that's interesting. Like she /feels/ that her being here right now is improbable. Like it's some sort of conclusion that wasn't likely because she thinks she's already dead (and is, in most possibilities).
Maybe this is what death on the quantum moon entails. If you die here, there's a possibility you didn't, so a possibility of you remains? I wonder if she can leave.
I assume not, as leaving this phase of the moon requires, by nature of how the quantum moon exists, the moon to materialize as a different possibility. Maybe if *I* stay to witness the moon she would be able to leave to a star system that never sees the moon again? But no, right, because if I ever leave then the moon would begin moving again, and in all possibilities that aren't the 6th it has her dead.
Also, consider the fact that her eyes don't appear to be considered "conscious" by the moon anymore.
The moon moves despite the fact she's on the 6th iteration.
So I guess even the moon recognizes that she has died and she is quite literally a living ghost that only exists when the moon exists in the 6th state- and as a ghost she can't be considered "conscious" for viewing it to lock it in the 6th state and if she tried to leave I suppose she would simply cease to exist on the spot and would become the corpse in each iteration and /nothing at all/ during the 6th since she left?
Hmm.
Anyways, all to say that means her being here is more to do with the quantum state of everything than with her retrying every 22 minutes until it worked- so I don't think she's the third or is directly responsible for any of this.

the coven (chapter 2)
Tumblr media
previous chapters:
chapter 1
reader x bakugou x shinsou x kaminari x kirishima
Coven- a formation of at least three or more vampires He told you they were dangerous- why didn't you believe him?
on my ao3 if you'd prefer
780 words
Tumblr media
“What” you laughed, “You suck blood and you’re from Transylvania.”
They froze, entirely still. “Fuck off, we are not from the fictional city”- Katsuki growled.
“Actually, I’m pretty sure Transylvania exists, it’s part of Romania”, Eijiro interrupted, “Anyway”, he cleared his throat, “We are not from Transylvania aand that’s a pretty offensive stereotype sweetheart.”
“You’re joking”, you say- you stop and look around at the boys’ faces “you are joking, right”. They looked at you with blank expressions. “Why would we by joking”, Denki asked.
“Because vampires aren’t real”, you replied.
“I think you’ll” find, Katsuki replied with venom, “vampires are very real.” “Prove it”, you said.
“So, what would you want us to do”?, Denki replied.
“Like, I don’t know, turn into bats or something.”
“Oh my god she’s literally brain dead”, Katsuki said- turning to Hitoshi. “He doesn’t mean that”, Hitoshi said to you, “Vampires have never been able to turn into bats, that’s an urban legend”. “Well, what can you do then?”, you responded, barely feeling the fear any rational person would in this situation. “I mean we have fangs,” Eijiro said. “Show me”, you said.
He promptly curls his fingers around his lips, pulling his cheeks back to reveal his teeth. His canines were long, sharp and pointed resting against lower teeth.
Fangs. Sharp and most certainly deadly.
“Holy shit, you actually weren’t lying, were you?” you gasped They all shook their heads,
“You’re- you’re vampires” “In the flesh, actually you know technically we don’t have flesh” Denki laughed. “It’s true, feel,” Eijiro said before giving you, his bicep to feel the texture of his 'skin'. You felt his frigid cold arm, nope definitely did
not feel like skin.
You didn’t not notice the insane muscle that he had beneath his ‘skin’ “Okay jeez I believe you now, so what did you lure me out here to drink my blood?” “I wish”, Katsuki remarked “You humans are so goddamn annoying, you know.” "No, you're pretty, thought you seemed cool, that's it." Hitoshi said plainly. A small breech of light began to rise on the horizon. They all hissed slightly, beginning to feel the burn of the sunlight
“Come back to ours”, Denki quickly said. “We have to go like, now. Us not liking the sun was one of the only things the legends got right”. You pondered for a moment, was it really a good idea to go to a vampires house? Furthermore, was it right to go to a vampire’s house that you had known for only an hour? You took your chance, “yeah okay, sounds great”.
Hitoshi tried to pick you up, trying to scoop you up underneath your armpits.
"What do you think you're doing" you snapped at him. "You said you want to come to ours, I'm trying to get you there", he replied snarkily, yet without malice.
“We’re not going to walk at human pace, we’ll roast." Katsuki joked. You paused, wondering what he meant by speed that wasn’t human.
“Okay then”, you nodded, No matter how strange you saw it, you allowed yourself to be lifted by Hitoshi. They ran, so fast you couldn’t see anything. Hitoshi gripped your legs tightly, Definitely over 100 miles per hour.
The run was short. Nowhere over 5 minutes, you had no way to tell where you were or how far you had run when Hitoshi finally put you down “I think I’m going to be sick”, you complained, feeling motion-sick from their intense speed.
You looked up. Their house was huge, unimaginably so. Other than that, it was just an average house. It surprised you. You must’ve looked it because Katsuki said to you: “What were you expecting dungeons and moats?” he laughed slightly. You could tell he was slowly but surely warming up to you.
You laughed back “not the moats”, you said. “No dungeons here,” Hitoshi said, “unless you're into that”. You could tell he wasn’t joking.
“Come in” Denki said in a sing-song voice “There’ll be no hot vampires to hang out with if we all burn to death”.
You laughed at that; stepping into their house. It was dark inside, almost pitch black with floor to ceiling blackout curtains that covered every window. You could barely make out the furniture scattered around the living space. It was obvious to you that none of these boys were interior decorators.
You stood out the entryway. “Come on in, we don’t bite- actually we do we’re vampires, you know- but, we promise we’re not actually going to bite you”, Denki said “Speak for yourself”, Katsuki added. “Me personally, I would love to sink my teeth into you.” You shuddered at the thought.

I don't understand how people simply enjoy something. A book. A show. A song. An animal. Even when I say, "Eh, it's okay," I still have so may thoughts and feelings and emotions about why I feel like that. I am so full of passion about the things and people that I love that I can't express it. My brain has so many words, so many thoughts, that they come out of my mouth or my fingers as either an incomprehensible garble of sounds or as something removed and distant, like I'm writing fiction, to make expression easier.
I don't know how to have a casual conversation about a book; "Did you like it?" I ask. "Yeah, it was good," they say, and I am infuriated because I don't know what that means. My conversations seem one-sided, not because I don't know how to listen, but because I have so much to say.
I tell a classmate I like an artist; what I mean is that I like an album that is ten years old. "What do you think of their newer stuff?" he asks, and I'm confused. Why would I need anything new, when I'm so enamored with a decade-old song? I wonder. But did you know that this old album that I've loved since I heard it six years ago was the second album the artist did, and that they got their start playing gigs at a local university? Weird Al parodied this song, and got the extras from the original video to be in his version! Oh and that song was used on Scrubs on two different occasions. My classmate looks at me like I've started speaking Spanish and I pause, because isn't this how you love an artist? When you love a song, aren't you supposed to listen to it on repeat for three days straight before looking for covers and parodies so that you can listen to it even more?
"I'm a big fan of the MCU, " a coworker says. "I'm not really into superhero movies," I say, forcing back sharing my opinion on Infinity War/Endgame, because I know that will just lead to my Marvel Rant, and why I've become jaded and saddened by what's happened to a thing I love. She likes Marvel enough to see all their movies and then go home. I shuffle my comics and roleplaying history and fanfiction behind my back so she doesn't see.
My son sees my partner create buildings out of paper and sees me spin toys from yarn. He prints out page after page of paper toys, and shows me a link to a pattern on YouTube. My partner and I look at each other, because the things he's talking about are foreign to us, but he looks at us so earnestly as he chatters away about bizarre creatures from square worlds and bright round ones. He downloads a game and I begin googling so that we can talk back. (Our enthusiasm can't match his, but he doesn't seem to notice.) The next week he's on about something else, talking a mile a minute about a movie he just discovered that came out fifteen years ago. He doesn't seem to remember that his last fixation even exists. I can't remember if I've seen it or not. I suppress a small sigh (not from resentment, but from the exhaustion of trying to keep up). Oh well. At least I have my weekend plans now.
being autistic is beautiful and then you're afraid of abandonment because your brain has picked up on the exact patterns that signal another loss and then you step outside and there are patterns in the sky in the grass in every touch and every laugh. someone looks at you and there is a shift in their gaze to tell you "i know you're wrong. you are something wrong." something between pity and embarrassment and you want to rip it out of your body for a second and then you listen to music and the euphoria makes it all worth it because they could never experience this joy. you're sky-high. you look in the mirror and your eyes appear inexplicably vacant and then you read about how so many autistic kids are cleverer than everyone else as children and then the opposite afterwards. at a certain age you equalise. you grow sharper teeth and you bite off more than you can chew and you chew it all anyway. there's spring in the air and your brain functions like a scattergraph and when you think about it hard enough it's impossible not to fall in love. if you're an alien you're a lovely one. one day you fall in love and you know it's more intense than it should be but you love her anyway, knowing how it will end. are you invented for grief? are you invented for love, carrying grief?
truthfully being autistic puts a gun full of love to your head. i will always be a little bit more alone than everyone else but the shades of green seperate into a spectrum of feeling and this schematic of an engine is a poem to progress and every song i love is a holy hymn and when your brain is a scattergraph, once you love something, you love everything. you're more alone than everyone else and the least lonely creature on earth, even in isolation.

😵‍💫😵 you are so insane for this. my fantasies are gonna center around this headcanon now <3 thank you for your service <3
i think soonyoung would go through the five stages of grief lmaooo. he's gonna look at her marks (poorly hidden beneath a thin layer of concealer), and he's gonna stutter. he wants to ask what's on her neck (of course he knows what it is)!! he almost blurts it out, but his thoughts are racing at a hundred miles per minute. he ends up saying something that doesn't make any sense at all like "w-what's were you mark up to neck last night?" -- a combination of all the questions he wants to ask aha
mc looks at soonyoung like he's crazy !!! and he absolutely is. he's devastated, of course ! so he settles with the question "what were you up to last night?" (for once, he actually uses the rational part of his brain). he knows he has no right to be mad because he's not her boyfriend :/ he can't accuse her of anything. it's not her fault! it's never her fault!

she can do what she wants, but that doesn't mean he won't be hurt
she'd tell him, point blank, "i was studying."
soonyoung is such an instigator LOL. so he'd pry and ask more questions. "is that it? just studying? by yourself?"
and she'll ignore every question except for the final one. she tells him that she was with mingyu lmaoo. any other piece of information is none of soonyoung's business ! but that's all soonyoung needed to hear :-(
he's gonna walk away with his hands clenched. mc would wonder what she did wrong ahaha. she doesn't even realize that her concealer was wearing off
if soonyoung passes mingyu in the halls, it's on SIGHT! he'd bump shoulders with him "on accident." and are they going to fight? hell yes <3 i think of the quidditch fight every single day loll. that's my Roman Empire
soonyoung to mingyu: i hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, i hate the way that you dress
